Logan frowned at the man sitting calmly, almost sheepishly, across from him. There was no way what he'd just been told was possible. Immortality, invisibility, invulnerability even, were possible due to science, magic, cybernetics or mutation. What he'd been told made no sense. He crossed his arms, leaning on the table, "What kinda trick are you pullin', bub?"

"No trick." The long haired blonde shook his head, "None at all."

"Except for the fact that it's impossible." Logan grumbled.

The blonde found himself chuckling, despite his quiet nature, "Says the man with the adamantium alloy bonded skeleton that managed to regenerate his brain into a functioning manner by instinct."

"Done by science and mutations. You're suggesting that you've lived even longer than I and that you're 'my nation personified'. The last which is impossible."

"Just because you haven't met one of my kind doesn't mean we don't exist and that it isn't possible. Just highly improbable."

"Look, bub, there's just no way. Besides, if you've been here all along, why did you decide to show up /now/?"

"Because it looks like the X-Men need some more allies against the Brotherhood and the M.D.R."

"Why do you care what happens to the X-Men?" The Wolverine asked.

Matthew Williams, personification of Canada, smiled and leaned forward, "Let's just say it'd be a mutual relationship."

Author's Note:

Happy birthday, Mattie! Happy Canada Day everyone!

Yes, I know, I made an insane crossover, but my family's been all over Marvel since the beginning of my summer vacation and Wolverine is Canadian, so why not, right? Anyways, hope you enjoy!
