AN: OK so this is a little drabble that come to me after re-watching Dinnerladies once again. As I've said it's a drabble, less than 300 words and I wouldn't normally post something this small, but considering I have been trying to write a vaguely decent Dinnerladies story and this is the best I could do I have decided to post it as I feel that there needs to be more Dinnerladies fics out there. So well here it is.

All that is left for me to say is that I do know own Dinnerladies, it from the imagination of the great Victoria Wood.

Hope you enjoy.

Christmas time had come once again to HWD Components, and with that brought the canteen's annual Christmas dinner and the presents from the bran tub.

The turkey and potatoes had been all but demolished, a couple of brussel sprouts lay abandoned and all but one present had been opened.

'OK, last but not least Tony from Bren,' announced Stan as he pulled the last present from the tub.

Tony was handed an envelope and pulled out a card. A robin adorned the front, wearing a festive tie. He opened the card and caught a slip of paper that fell to the floor.

Dear Tony,

You once told me what your ideal present is.

This is not exactly the same but I hope it lives up to your expectations.

Merry Christmas

Lots of love

Bren

P.S. If the girls ask, it's a gift voucher.

Tony then turned his attention to the slip of paper in his hand, which had tried to make its escape only minutes earlier.

This voucher is redeemable for one might with me to do whatever you desire

Sorry Mrs Janet Farnsbarns at 32 Sycamore Avenue wasn't available

You'll get a cup of tea, and if your lucky eggs and bacon.

Tony looked up to see an anxious Bren watching him over the Christmas table.

'So Tony what it is?' enquired Dolly

'It's a gift voucher, for something I've wanted for a long time. Thanks Bren.' Was the smiled reply

For Tony it was the best Christmas gift he could have gotten, and he couldn't wait to redeem it.

Many, many times over.
