I know this took a long time to get out, but I have a lot of stuff going on at school. This chapter will end at a wierd time, because if I continued, it would be another week before this would be out. So, im posting it now.

Kayen woke up the next day in her den with her mother, and for a nice change, her father, too. She smiled and rubbed his side, making him wake up. He looked a bit cross for someone waking him, but when he saw that it was her, he smiled. "'Morning sunshine," he said, rubbing the top of her head with his paw.

"Morning dad!" she said, rubbing up against him, happy to see him.

"The alpha said I could take a day off, so, I have a whole day to spend with you," he said, smiling.

Kayen's eyes widened. "Really?!" she asked not believing it. He nodded. She jumped on him and climbing to rest on his head, forgetting that she had been bitten. He dipped his, making her slide off.

"Don't do that, you're gonna stress your leg," he said, looking at the leg, and nuzzling her. She frowned, then smiled as he nuzzled her.

"Ok, dad," she said. She looked around for something to do. "What are we gonna do today?" she asked, "I can't put any pressure on my leg." She frowned.

"Eve told me that you could walk on it for a bit," he said, smiling. Then a voice drew both their attentions to the entrance.

"Who's there?" Hutch asked, getting up and walking over to the entrance. Kayen limped behind him. She saw the silver pup from before and two new ones. A tanish one and a white one with purple eyes. She hid behind her father, shy. He father looked at her and smiled.

"It's ok, it's just pups," he said, nudging her forward. She backed up as soon as Hutch withdrew his muzzle. She hid under him, behind his leg.

"What if they're gonna hurt me?" she said, not wanting to to get bit again. She didn't mind the biting, which hurt a lot, it was the recovery period that took a role on her. She couldn't play or run, or do much of anything because of her leg.

"They won't hurt you, I promise," he said, glaring at the pups. They shook their heads and took a step back. He looked back down. "Go on," he said, nudging her forward, "I'll catch up."

Kayen frowned, turning around. "But I wanted to spend the day with you," she said, growing sad.

"We'll have later and another day soon, I promise," he said, nudging her forward with his muzzle.

"Ok," she responded and turned around to limp to the pups. "Hello," she greeted them, dipping her head. They all went outside, so they weren't blocking the hole to the cave.

"Did he really bite you?" the silvery pup asked, trying to look at the wound. They all did.

"Yeah," she responded, lifting up her leg to show them her wound. They all gasped. "What's wrong with him anyway?" she asked, putting her leg back down.

They all shrugged. "Don't know, but he sure doesn't like a lot of the pups," the tan one said.

At this point in time, Kayen realized they didn't give names. "I'm Kayen," she said, dipping her head in greeting.

"I'm Aurelius," said the silver pup.

"I'm Kate," said the tan pup.

"And I'm Lilly," said the white pup.

"Nice to meet you all," Kayen responded, dipping her head. "What should we do today?" she asked.

"I don't know. You're leg is hurt, so you can't do much," Kate said, trying to think.

"I know! What about iSpy," Kayen suggested. The other three pups looked confused, not knowing what iSpy was.
