Conner clamped his hands over his ears, blue eyes wide in horror as the red, blue, and silver fireworks exploded above him. Beside him, M'gann's eyes reflected the navy blue sky as she turned towards him.

"Uh…you ok, Conner?" she asked hesitantly, looking at his stiff posture.

"…it's so loud…" he shuddered as a giant red flower erupted into golden sparks.

She giggled, and he shot her an evil look before letting out a squeal as another loud boom echoed around the park; up in the sky, a blue and silver flag shimmered in the sky.

"Aw, it's ok! Just focus on the actual fireworks, not the noise." M'gann encouraged, entwining their fingers.

He scrunched up his nose and tried to do as she said; she grinned at his cute face. After a while he relaxed, blue eyes focusing on the dark green sparks showering the sky.

Conner squeezed M'gann's hand after a while, a smile appearing on his face.
