It was finally happening.

She was getting married.

She was getting married to Gray Fullbuster. Today.

"Lu-chan, you've been so shaky lately, relax!"

The blonde turned to her blue-haired friend. "I can't."

"Of course you can!" Levy argued, throwing her hands up in the air for emphasis. "You've got nothing to be nervous about! Everyone is here, they're all happy, no one forgot anything, Natsu hasn't destroyed anything, you look absolutely gorgeous right now, and you're getting married to the man of your dreams!"

Lucy bit her lip. "I know."

"So why are you nervous?"

"I don't know!" She replied. "Just…. Last minute nerves I guess?"

Levy sighed. "Oh… come on! I mean, Mira's going to call you out any minute now and when she does, you can't be a nervous wreck!"

"I thought you said I looked gorgeous." The blonde pouted. She was a bit worried though. Did she not look good? Did she look awful? Would Gray not like her dress? Everything in this wedding had to be perfect! Positively perfect!

Levy scratched the back of her head nervously. "Er, well… you did… but…"

"Levy-chan, you're so mean!"

"Relax, I'm just kidding!" Levy said. "You look great!"

"Lucy, we're ready for you!" Mira said.

"I'm going to pass out!" Lucy said quickly. Erza put a hand on her shoulder.

The red-head smiled. "You'll be fine. Don't worry about it."

"Yeah!" Wendy added. "Gray-san really loves you, Lucy-san! So there's nothing to worry about!"

It made Lucy smile about how silly she was being, and how nice her friends were being –reassuring her and all… otherwise she would've been so nervous! She was getting married and all her friends were there! And she was going to be the happiest woman alive today! Oh the thought made her want to jump for joy – of course, she couldn't do that, that would totally ruin her make-up and dress and everything. And-

"Well, you know, unless someone interrupts or anything-"

"Okay, I'm really going to pass out!"

This was it.

It was really happening now.

Why are they all looking at me?! Lucy thought. She was a nervous wreck as it is, and now everyone had to stare at her while she was walking down the aisle?! It didn't help that her friends had invited people from other guilds to come! Oh, gee, thanks a lot guys! She loved them, really, she did. But sometimes she felt like she just wanted to strangle them so!

Oh, gosh, this is embarrassing! She thought, but looked on ahead. Then she saw it.

She saw Gray.

He looked absolutely positively wonderful! He looked like the – she couldn't believe she was about to think about it – hottest man at her wedding! She wanted to use a better word, but no other words came to her head. It was… he looked… damn he looked hot! Before she knew it, she was standing right beside him.

Though, she was a little confused.

Why was Mavis the person to be-wed them?

Ah, she didn't even bother to think about it, it was Fairy Tail after all, everything about them – including what they did – was weird.

"Good afternoon…" Said the first master. "We gather here today to celebrate a wonderful bond of love. Gray and Lucy, in their devotion, love, and respect for each other, wish to unite in the bond of marriage, and to dedicate themselves to each other for the rest of their lives. We…."

For some reason, Lucy couldn't focus on the speech Mavis was giving, and the first master's voice was tuned out by her.

Damn it Lucy, focus! She mentally scolded herself. But she couldn't, why couldn't she?! This was the best day of her life! And she loves Gray! So why couldn't she just focus, damn it?!

She looked over at Gray, and he seemed to be listening very carefully to every word. He was taking it seriously. He really did love her. Not that she had any doubt or anything, it was just nice to know that he would take this long, boring speech really seriously just for her. And him. Their wedding.

She really couldn't believe it. She was getting married! She was getting married to the man that she loved! She was getting married to Gray Fullbuster! All this had seemed like a dream…

"Lucy?"

The blonde snapped out of her thoughts. "Uh yes?" She said. "I'm sorry Master, could you repeat that?"

She was expecting for Mavis to be annoyed, but she just smiled warmly and repeated her words. "Do you, Lucy Heartfilia, take this man, Gray Fullbuster, as your lawfully wedded husband, to love and honor him, to nurture and take care of him in good times and bad? To love him, for better or for worse? Regardless of what trouble the two of you will face, do you promise to remain by his side? Do you promise with all your heart and soul to love him till death do you part?"

"I do." Lucy promised without hesitation.

Mavis nodded curtly. "And do you, Gray Fullbuster, take this woman, Lucy Heartfilia, as your lawfully wedded wife, to love and honor her, to nurture and take care of her in good times and bad? To love her, for better or for worse? Regardless of what trouble the two of you will face, do you promise to remain by her side? Do you promise with all your heart and soul to love her till death do you part?"

"I do." Gray said, grinning. Lucy's heart thumped.

As Mavis started giving another speech – something about rings – her voice was once again tuned out by the blonde celestial mage.

Because in her mind, she was only thinking about how Gray had said yes! He had said yes! From today on, they were husband and wife! She couldn't believe it, it was really happening! She tried not to grin, as she was supposed to be taking this seriously.

"Lucy." – and she almost did something stupid like say 'yes?' but it was a good thing Mavis spoke quickly! – "Place the ring on Gray's finger and repeat after me," She instructed. Lucy slipped the ring onto Gray's hand, and recited. "As this ring…"

"As this ring…"

"Has no end…"

"Has no end…"

"Neither shall my love for you."

"Neither shall my love for you!" Oops. Maybe she had said that a little too enthusiastically, because she could see from the corner of her eye that Gray was trying not to smile.

Mavis told Gray to do the same. And as he slipped the ring onto Lucy's finger, she couldn't help but to mentally squeal. In fact, she had to bite her lip so she wouldn't actually squeal. Oh she wished Mavis would just skip all the boring parts and get on to the part where they could kiss already!

Mavis must be a mind-reader. "By the power vested in me, and in the name of Fairy Tail, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. Gray, you may kiss the bride."

Let's just say it didn't go that way.

Lucy threw herself into his arms, catching him off-guard. No really, she threw herself at him, while squealing. Gray's eyes widened, but he quickly recovered as he wrapped his arms around her. He felt like laughing, since they probably looked ridiculous to others.

Did I forget to mention she made him fall?

Well they did. When Lucy threw herself into Gray's arms, they fell down. But they didn't care. It was merely another embarrassing moment, among others. But more importantly, it just showed how much they loved each other, and their pure devotion to each other.

The guild(s) cheered and applauded, but they couldn't hear it. Lucy and Gray were in the moment, and the world was tuned out by them, as the passionately kissed each other.

As they pulled apart, Lucy said, "I love you Gray Fullbuster."

"Me too, Lucy Heartfilia."

She chuckled. "From this moment on, it's Lucy Fullbuster. Got it?"

"Yeah, I got it."

"Good."

I can't wait after we get out of here.

So I can spend the rest of my life with you.

I love you, Gray Fullbuster.

And I always will.
