HELLO PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD! Sorry this chapter took a little longer then I thought but I have it up now!

David: "That's no excuse..."

Kenza (aka me): "What the!? When did you get here!?"

David: "I've been here for a while actually."

Kenza: "Er...Ok...So do you want to say it?"

David: "Eh, Why not. Kenza does not own The crooked man or any of the characters. Like me."

Kenza: "Sadly...anyway's I hope you enjoy this chapter! FLUFFY TIME!"

David: "Whats that mean?"

Kenza: "No idea!"

David: "Ok...Your acting like Marion."

Kenza: "So?"

David: "Never mind..."

Fluffy stopped dead in his tracks from running so fast and started to pant heavily practically out of breath. The sun had ended it's shift for the day so the moon took his place lighting the world up a little from the darkness. After resting for a minute or two the young boy finally looked up at the building he was in front of and gasped.

"T-this is the building! I thought it was closer from were I was...*yawns* Guess I was wrong." A huge but toned down hotel like place lied ahead of the child as he walked to the front door with his heart racing a hundred miles an hour the minute he toughed the rusted door knob.

"What? Why do I suddenly feel...well...I don't know...it's like i'm warning myself to not go in there... *looks around nervously and swallows* That doesn't matter right now. I'm gonna have to ignore that for now." Fluffy opened the door with ease and slowly walked inside closing it behind himself carefully. After hearing the click of the door fully closing he turned around quickly and opened his mouth slightly in aw. "This place is huge..." He took a few steps forward heading to the front desk only to be stopped by a loud crash coming from upstairs causing him to jump a little. "What was that?!" He stood there in the same spot for no longer then a second before shaking his head rapidly. "No time for cowering out now! I have to find mama!"

He more quickly walked to the front desk and rang the bell for service but was surprised when nobody came. He rang the bell once more hearing it echo through out the place and waited some more.

Nobody showed up...

"~HELLOOOOOOOOO~" Fluffy said in a singing matter loudly having his voice echoing everywhere in the mansion all at once. Even after that nobody came. He huffed and crossed his arms, an animated pulse of anger appeared on the side of head out of annoyance. "How rude. Is anybody even here?" The kid looked at the bell again curiously and shrugged. "What ever. No service, no bell."

*(Obtained bell. Ringing it once could probably get almost anybodies attention, even if its for a second. It can be rather annoying though...)*

Fluffy grabbed the bell and stuff it into his backpack before heading up the near by steps onto the second floor. Before he even got to the sound of foot steps were heard coming from the left side of the hallway in front of him.

"Some on else is here!?" The boy ran faster up the stairs and ran towards the other footsteps down the hallway but stopped the minute he saw the 4th door close quietly as if somebody went in. "Somebody is here!?" He said quietly to himself before jogging toward it only to be stopped by another sudden sound coming from behind him.

"A boy?" Fluffy turned around cautiously with his heart skipping a beat from the sudden voice and gasped. A women with short brown hair wearing a red dress was looking at him very confused who just stood there staring at him from at least 10 yards away.

"W-wha?" Fluffy finally managed to choke out before stepping back subconsciously to the door closest to him.

"What are you doing here? Are you alone?" The women said calmly making Fluffy feel more at ease talking to her.

Taken back slightly at the sudden question, he just gave her a "Who are you?" kind of look and left it at that.

The women smiled and giggled. "Don't worry little guy, i'm not going to hurt you. I promise." She started to walk towards him but stopped the minute he stepped back. " *frowning* Oh, do you not trust me?" Fluffy stiffened up some more and looked away. She sighed again and held out her hand. "My name is Sissi. And you?"

After examining her for a couple seconds the boy sighed and said, "My names Fuffy. Just call me that ok."

Sissi smiled warmly at him. "Cute. Are you lost Fluffy?"

"Are you?"

"Well, no. I was just looking for someone that's all... I've actually been here before."

Fluffy lifted an eye brow. "How many times have you been here?"

"Twice actually. Last time was for...uh, well... something I really shouldn't have bothered with in the first place. Anyway's, I don't think you have told me why your here."

"I'm looking for my mama." The blue capped kid said as he crossed his arms firmly. "Have you seen her?"

An animated sweat drop ran down the side of Sissi's head. "Uh. I don't think so...I think I would know if I saw a mother frantically looking for her child."

"Do you have any kids?"

" *nervously blushes* W-what!? N-no, no! Well, not at the moment."

"Then how do you know if she's even searching for me?"

Sissi looked at him confusedly and thought about that. "Why wouldn't his mother look for him? He's looking for her right? Unless..." The sudden sound of glass breaking in one of the rooms followed by a low groan awoken her from her thoughts and she stepped back from the boy.

Fluffy heard the noise as well and took a couple steps back from the 4th door mimicking the women. "What was that?" Sissi grabbed the child by the arm tightly and started running with him at full speed not caring how much he struggled. "Hey! Whats the big idea!? Are you trying to rip my arm off!?"

The child looked up at Sissi and frowned seeing the terrified expression that seemed to be plastered on her pale face. He turned his head around quickly looking behind him then back at the hallway in that lies ahead of them and stopped running after successfully pulling away from her. "Lady, what is your deal!?"

Sissi stopped running as well and turned around trying to grab him once again but failed after Fluffy dodged her attempt. She gulped and looked around frantically as if deciding to run some more or reason with the boy. After A couple of seconds she sighed in defeat and opened the door nearest to them. "Look, i'll explain later. Please, just follow me." Fluffy gave her a confused look and backed up some more feeling cautious. Sissi's frightened look now looked more pleading as she put her hands together in a begging manner. "Please..."

The child narrowed his light brown eyes (i don't know his real eye color) and looked behind him hearing heavy footsteps coming his way. "What is she running from? Wait...Why am I even talking to her!? She sounds crazy!" The footsteps started to grow louder and faster forcing Fluffy out of his thoughts and back to reality. He looked back at Sissi and sighed in defeat seeing how scared and helpless she looked. "Fine, but don't think I won't scream for help if you try something on me! My mom will come running when she does!"

Sissi some what smiled thankfully and pulled the child inside the room with her gently but firmly shutting the door behind the both of them. Fluffy looked at her angrily sort of mad she yanked him roughly again and opened his mouth to speak but quickly closed it when he saw her already running towards a queen sized bed motioning him to follow her. For some reason the young child actually obeyed and ended up crawling underneath the fancy bed along side the women without question.

Not a moment later, the door that was surly locked was started to be pounded on fiercely from the outside startling the two that were hiding. Sissi held her breath probably not realizing it and pulled Fluffy closer to her as if she was protecting him. Fluffy was more curious then scared at the moment and just starred at the banging door intensely, half of him hoping who ever it was broke in so he could see what was causing all this. The banging eventually stopped after about a minute and a low growl was heard before it's heavy footsteps started to head further down the hall at a slow pace. When it got quiet again the women let out the air she was holding back and slid out from under the bed slightly shaken up.

Fluffy did the same but more calmly and spoke. "Uh. Who was that?"

"Somebody you really don't want to meet..." Sissi stretched and dusted off what ever kind of stuff was on her dress from under the bed and sighed feeling relieved leaning up against the wall. "Are you ok?" She finally said after an awkward silence looking at the boy softly.

He sat on the bed and hugged the nearest pillow closest to him. "I'm fine, but what about you?...Also, that really doesn't answer my question. Who was that?"

Sissi lowered her eyes to the ground suddenly finding her shoes very interesting and twiddled her fingers together nervously. "I-i'm fine really. Just...startled...And to answer your question, let's just say he's a bad man."

Fluffy looked at his soft pillow and hugged it tighter. "Why am I shaking again? This feels somewhat...familiar..."

"So when did you last see your mom?" Fluffy broke out of his thoughts and turned back to Sissi who some how walked over to him without a sound and sat beside him. He could clearly see her true facial features now. Her short brown hair was neatly trimmed as if cut not to long ago, she smelt like strawberry's from what ever perfume she was wearing, and her smile really seemed to make him in a way...well...warm and safe for some reason. "I'm sorry. Do you not want to talk about her right now?"

"Huh? What? Sorry, I was just thinking." Fluffy looked back at his pillow and smiled slightly. "The last time I saw my mom was when she told me she would be right back to get something and left me at a hospital. I've waited for a long time and got bored so I wondered inside to look around thankful that the door was unlocked. After exploring for lord knows how long I decided to head back out to see if mom came back...but..." He stopped smiling and looked directly at a wall with the look of confusion slowly taking over his face.

Sissi noticed this strange behavior and leaned in closer to him. "But what?"

The child's eyes widened as a sudden flash back took over his thoughts the minute he turned to the women again.

*Flashback*

"What are you doing here?" Fluffy gasped loudly and turned around quickly to see who was behind him while backing away. "Are your mom and dad not around? Did you...come here alone?" The child continued to glare at the strange man with fear/confusion in his eyes and just blinked twice. The man cocked his head slightly to right confused as well and asked another question. "...Er...hm. Are you mute, perhaps?"

The kid finally calmed down a little and took one more step back. "Mama said...not to talk to strangers..."

The man's eyes widened slightly surprised then he gave the boy a little smile. "Ah...Well, then I'll introduce myself." The child, feeling more brave, narrowed his eyes and stared at him as if saying to continue. "My name is ! #$%. I'm 26 years old. I live kinda far from here. My hobby is...watching baseball, I guess."

The boy smiled widely. "Ooh! I like baseball too! Mama gave me a glove, so I play every Saturday!"

The man chuckled and put a hand to his hip widening his smile. "Whoa! I'm jealous!...Hey, so what's your name, little guy?"

"Fluffy!"

"Fluffy?" The man lifted an eye brow. "That's your name?"

"Yeah! Mama say's my hair's Fluffy like a towel! So...Fluffy!" Fluffy giggled and looked up at him willingly as if proud of his made up name.

The stranger mentally face palmed himself and continued. "I see...Where is your mama, Fluffy?"

Fluffy shrugged his small shoulders. "I dunno."

"You don't know? Did you not come here with her?"

"Um, well, we were going back home, and I was walking right by mama, then she went to get something she forgot. I didn't wanna wait outside, so I came in here and sang. But mama hasn't come back..."

The man frowned and walked closer to the child kneeling down to his height. "...So you got lost...Is your house close to here?"

Feeling some what at ease, Fluffy nodded. "Umm... My house's close to school, but you can't see school from here... So I guess it's probably far..."

The tall guy sighed and got up again looking around the room they were in. ...Right... Your really something to have waited here all alone... Hey fluffy, It's scary in the dark, isn't it? How about you go with me to see Mr. Policeman."

Fluffy frowned as well and looked towards the exit of the room and then back at David. "..."

"...Okay, let's go!"

"Nooo!"

"!" David watched as blue capped boy backed away from him again and started to worry after the sudden outburst. "W-what's wrong, Fluffy? I'll have Mr. Policeman show you a patrol car! Don't you want to come along?"

The kid scowled at the man and waked his hand away when he tried to grab him. "I'm not afraid of the dark! I'm a big boy! YOU'RE the scaredy-cat, aren't you?!"

"Fluffy!" The child backed away again with his heart now speeding up with anger and fear from the stranger. He then quickly ran out the door as fast as he could, ignoring the man's call for him to come back.

*End of flashback*

"Fluffy? Fluffy, are you ok?"

Fluffy blinked a couple of times before realizing he was staring at the women he just met for a while and saw the worry look in her eye. He got off the bed and stumbled towards a near by desk and looked at himself in the mirror. "That's right! Some man helped me out before when I was looking for mama for the first time! W-what was his name again?...What did he look like?..."

"Fluffy, please answer me." The women jogged behind the child and put her hand on his shoulder gently spinning him around.

"I'm ok. Just...thinking..."

Sissi sighed and walked towards the door. "I think it's gone..."

Fluffy put the pillow back down and reached for his backpack pulling out one of his candy bars. "Here." He offered to the women without second thought and held it out for her with a cute smile causing her to blush.

"F-for me?! Really?!"

The boy nodded. "Yeah. You look really tired and pale. Mama always got mad at me when I looked like that, only because it usually meant I was sick. I don't think your mama would be to happy if she knew you might be sick.

Blinking in confusion the women gently took the snickers bar and examined it then the boy. "Thank you very much. But why would your mother be mad at you for getting sick? Everybody does, they can't help it."

Fluffy shrugged and zipped his backpack back up. "I dunno, she just would. But I don't get sick that often, so mama doesn't really hit me that much. Only when I cry or bother her when she's working."

"She does what?" Sissi's eyes widened in shock and just stood there staring at him. "Fluffy's been abused? Somethings not right here..." She stuffed the candy bar in her small pocketbook and frowned looking at the boy. "Fluffy, how long have you been looking for your mama?"

Giving the question some thought the boy finally answered, but didn't sound to sure. "I don't know...3...4...weeks maybe."

"3 to four weeks!?" Sissi pondered for a little then turned to a desk near by looking at her own reflection. "This child's been through allot recently... Abandoned perhaps?...I can't be so sure...I should bring him to that police station near by...Either that or leaving him alone, but there is no way I would do such a thing! Especially with THAT thing in here...Wait a minute... *eyes widen in shock and fear* I have to get Fluffy out of here! Now!"

"Did you even hear me?"

Sissi turned to Fluffy and apologized. "I'm sorry, you said something? Please repeat that."

"*sigh* I asked who you were looking for anyway's."

"Well, somebody that I've met in the past. Even though he might not remember me I would still love to see him again."

Fluffy lifted an eyebrow. "He? Boyfriend?"

Sissi blushed, "No! He's not my boyfriend! Just a friend don't worry!"

"So your not looking for your mama?"

"My mama?" The 22 year old chuckled. "My mother...well... went home when I was your age at the least. So I don't really remember her much. By the way Fluffy!"

"Yeah?"

The women held out her gentle hand and gave the boy her best heart filled smile again making Fluffy loosen up with comphort. "Why don't you and I go visit Mr. Police man so he can help us find your mama."

"W-what?"

"Your mama. I bet he would help you find her much faster, she's probably worried sick about you. I would be to if you were my child."

Fluffy frowned and looked at her more sternly and clutched onto his backpack a little more tightly. "Huh?

(Your really something to have waited here all alone... Hey fluffy, It's scary in the dark, isn't it? How about you go with me to see Mr. Policeman.)

The man's repeated words quickly went through the boy's covered head, having rage and fear creep onto him once again. "Why does everybody keep asking me that!? No! I don't wanna see Mr. Police man! I don't want them to find mama! They'll just take her away! She said they will! Just leave me alone, i'll find mama myself with or without you! I'm a big boy, I can take care of myself!"

"H-hey! Fluffy wait, please!"

"NO! Stay away from me!"

Sissi watched as the child sped walked towards the exit of the room and got off the bed leaving the candy bar behind by accidentally blocking his path. "But you can't go out there alone!" Fluffy huffed and asked why he couldn't in a loudly but shaky like tone of voice. She noticed that and calmed her voice. "It's to dark for you to go alone Fluffy. You might get hurt or-"

"NO! I don't care if it's dark, i'm a big boy! I'm not a big scardey cat like you! I can handle myself!"

"Fluffy!" The kid some how ran past the women without her fast enough to catch him and quickly opened the door, dashing out as fast as he could the minute he closed it behind him leaving Sissi alone once again in shock. She looked down at her shoes feeling more unsettled then before and started to play with her heart shaped necklace now figuring out a new goal she had to accomplish before leaving this horrible place...

Hey guys! Sorry if this chapters to short. I plan on making the next chapter as soon as possible the minute I finish this one since i'm now out of writers block. Also, there's a new RPG game called "Sandman" and it's technically based on "The Crooked man since David is in it. I haven't actually played i myself yet but I sounds good. Fluffy: "WHY ARE YOU YELLING!?"

Kenza: "WHY ARE YOU!?"

D: "YOU GUYS ARE LOUD! SHUT UP WILL YA!?"

Kenza: "What the!? Your not in this chapter yet?!"

D: "Yeah, so?"

Kenza: *face palms* "What ever...Just forget it..."

David: "Just review guys...Maybe she'll stop yelling if she gets enough..."

Fluffy: "BYE!"

Everybody: "STOP YELLING!" *all of us start to argue*
