Okay, Yeah. I've been hitting my Rwby/Pokemon Cross pretty hard. Sorry about that. After I update this I'll see about getting around to Ash and Byakuya's fight in the Bleach Cross. And when it come to Byakuya... He's so badass... Nuff said. I'm off topic again, anyway... ENJOY!
Borderlands: The Fire Guardian
Lucky For a Day
"So, I'm just sayin'... WHY THE HELL NOT?!" Ash sighed at the larger man... The MUCH, larger man.
"Because Brick, we can't just go kill a bunch of people for a car part. That's horrible." Zed decided to cut in.
"He's killed over half the population that used to live here." Ash's eyes widened.
"On second thought..."
"I'll kill all you Vault Hunter sumbitches!" Bone Head was crawling backwards, his shield down and men dead.
"That isn't a word..." Was all Ash had to say as Brick ripped his arm from his socket, and beat the man to death with his own arm. Yes... Bone Head got mauled with his own arm...
"OHHH GOD! PLEASE! Please..." Was the mans last words. Brick started laughing.
"You died like a bitch!" He tossed Bone Head's arm back at his corpse.
"I found the part!" Mordekai walked victoriously back over to his friends, waving the item around. Roland nodded.
"Good job, Mordekai. We should head back to Zed before we move out, he might have some quick jobs for us to do." Everyone nodded in agreement.
"As a matter-a-fact, I do! After you hop on over Piss Wash Gully, open the gate at the far end and head back to me. I'll tell you where to go from there."
"Got it. You'll be the first one we talk to when we get back." Zed laughed at Lilith's unintentional joke.
"That's funny cuz'... I'm the only one out here! HAHAHAHA!" No one but Brick found how that was humorous.
They made it over to the Catch-A-Ride Station. Scooter told them what to do next.
"So, you just insert the do-hickey into the the whats-it-macalled. And that's how you was made..." Mordekai chuckled slightly, as did Lilith.
"I don't get." Ash seemed slightly confused. Mordekai laughed heartily at the boy's confusion.
"Hey, Lilith! Why don't you explain?" She blushed and scratched the back of her head.
"Maybe later."
"You got it done yet?" They all stopped what they were doing and went back to the task at hand. Ash decided to inform him, as he was the one working on it.
"Almost there Scooter..." He put the core back into the machine and rewired it. "Got it." He heard Scooter whistle over his headset.
"Damn sun. I should have you come help be back at my shop sometime. You got that figured out in no time flat. Hell, that thing used to be more busted than my mamma's girl parts. Yeah. It was pretty bad." Everyone just sat there awkwardly. Ash decided to break the silence.
"What's next?"
"Well, Shoot. You just open up control panel and set that bitch a rolling. You can customize your ride too." Ash nodded to Roland whom opened the control panel and got started. He set them up with two different cars. One blue, the other gray. Ash, Mordekai, and Lilith all hopped into the gray one, while Roland and Brick took the blue. Mordekai was driving while Lilith took the machine gun. Ash was simply hanging off the side, his feet on the climbing bars like one of the Psychos. He had his pistol at the ready. Roland was driving the other car, with Brick in... a ROCKET TURRET! Ash couldn't help but feel jealous.
"Are we ready?" The whole party nodded.
"Then let's go."
Ash took the time on the drive to check his skill points out. He could only allocate them into one tree. He saw the two skills to pick between, and couldn't help but grin at both. He knew he'd get both eventually... But damn.
Blood Pact: All enemies whom die near you, have a 20% chance to restore 10% of you're missing health.
Overkill: The more enemies you slay, the higher damage you're melee attacks do by 1.5% per stack. Stacks fade when out of combat for 10 seconds. Current Cap: 50.
Each ability could be upgraded 5 times. But Ash only had 4 points.
"What are you doing back there, kid?" Ash glanced over to Mordekai.
"Nothing much Morde. Just setting skills." Mordekai bobbed a nod.
"So, what did you get new and shiny?" Lilith asked from right next to him. He grinned over at her.
"Whenever Someone dies near me, I have a forty percent chance to restore ten percent of my missing health. And Whenever I kill an enemy, I get a stack on an ability that grants three percent more damage with my sword for twenty seconds, that I can stack fifty times." Lilith whistled in response.
"Damn... Sounds like a whole lot of fun. I'm only able to make my bullets go faster and lame stuff like that. You'll see my fun stuff soon though." Ash nodded. He was anticipating what his teammates would be able to do soon. Maybe they could do stuff even crazier than him.
"GODDAMN! DID YOU JUST JUMP PISS WASH GULLY IN ONE OF MY RUNNERS? SHOOT! Why didn't you let me know? I would've recorded that shit!" Scooter was both upset and excited at the same time. Ash liked hearing from him, but couldn't help but noticed Angel was rather quiet today... In fact, he hadn't heard from her once.
"Hey, Angel?" All he could hear was the sound of the Runner on the dirt and Brick laughing in joy at having blown a man to pieces. Then he heard her voice again...
"Yes, Ash?" Ash smiled. For some reason, her voice could always soothe him, even if she was just an AI. He chuckled lightly. He had a crush on a machine...
"Hey Angel. I just hadn't heard from you in awhile. How have you been?" Angel smiled, it was just like Ash to be concerned for her, whether she was an AI or not...
"I'm fine, thank you for asking. Not that an AI can't be anything but okay, but you get what I mean." Ash chuckled lightly.
"I do... What can you tell us about this Sledge guy, Zed mentioned?"
"Hmm... Well, he has a history of violence on Pandora. He has been reported to have ripped his enemies limb from limb, and taken over as the bandit leader in these parts with his brute strength." Ash sighed.
"Why does that sound like something Brick would do?" He heard Brick laugh over his headset.
"Because it is!" Ash began to laugh as well. Angel joined in with a slight chuckle, which Ash took notice of.
"Wish you were down here with us, somehow..." He said in a low whisper, but she still heard, and blushed lightly. She couldn't help but wonder why, all she did was give them information on targets her father wanted her to destroy so the Vault Hunters could bring Eridium to the planet. Not that they would ever discover that...
"I agree with the kid." Brick spoke up. Angel just sighed lightly... If only there were another way...
"I wish there was a way... But that's not possible, I'm afraid. Drawback of being Artificial Intelligence. I can be you're eyes in the sky, but can never meet you." Ash nodded glumly.
"That's to bad." He heard a sigh in response.
"I think we're at the gate!" Roland called out. Ash nodded, and hopped off the side of Runner. He took quick notice of his surroundings, and quickly sprang into action. He began to sprint past the bandits in his path, some of then becoming troublesome and needing a swift decapitation, others getting mowed down by three machine gun turrets and some rockets. Ash found what he was looking for a small distance up to a tower. He pulled the lever, and watched as the gate creaked back to life. It opened up for them to continue through. Ash heard Zed speak over his headset.
"Well I'll be damned. Looks like you kids have got your stuff. I'll speak to you soon." Ash nodded to himself, and hopped off the top of the tower. He landed beside his runner, with Lilith grinning back at him. She commented on something strange.
"I like the look, it says, 'I rip people in half'. What do you think Morde?" Mordekaiser saw what she was talking about after he turned his head. Ash was completely drenched in blood that was dissolving off.
"The fuck happened?" They all heard Brick laughing.
"I blew a guy to bits right next to Ash. I don't think he noticed though! HAHAHAHAHA!" Ash sweatdropped and hopped back up on the side of the runner.
"How kind of you Brick..."
"All back safe and sound? Good. I think it's high time someone took out Sledge. And, I know you're all up for the job." Everyone nodded, but Ash had to say something.
"I don't know about anyone else, but I've been up for over sixteen hours today, therefore making me really tired." He let the comment sit for a little while. Eventually they all nodded in a agreement. Lilith walked into the area they usually sleep in, right behind Ash.
"Hey kid. Thought I'd come tuck you in." Ash sighed as he sat down on his gurney. Lilith sat down on the one right next to him, where she usually sleeps.
"I get the point, I'm only thirteen, you're eighteen. Ha-Ha. Very fu-" Lilith cut him off halfway, by giving him a kiss on the cheek. She began to rub the other side of his face with her left hand, before she placed her right hand on his chest and pushed him down, on to his makeshift bed. She stopped rubbing his face and began to run her hand through his hair. Although he enjoyed the feeling, a curious question rose in his head.
"Is there any reason as to why you'd choose me over Roland, I mean he's twenty-one, and I'm barely a teenager." Lilith seemed to ponder the information for a moment before she leaned in and gave Ash a quick peck on the lips. Ash felt like his mind had exploded... And fuck logic. He grabbed the back of her head before she could pull away and looked at her passionately before pulling her back in for another kiss. She seemed to enjoy it, and forced her tongue into his mouth. The sensation of French kissing was entirely new to Ash, but not a feeling that he disliked at all. She pulled herself on to the gurney with Ash, her hands running down his chest, while his hands made their way up and down her back. After a few minutes, they finally broke off. She stared into Ash's eyes with a loving gaze before giving him one last kiss. She scooted down slightly and nuzzled into his chest. Ash was still laying there panting.
"That was intense..." She giggled.
"First kiss?" He smiled sheepishly.
"Yea..."
Angel had a distraught look on her face. She saw everything that had occurred between Ash and Lilith, and she just felt like sobbing. But who was she to judge? Maybe if she just told Ash the truth...No. She couldn't do that... He would just hate her. He would hate her for lying. He would hate her for her involvement. He would hate the ugly truth of it all. And even though she told herself she wouldn't... She began to cry. So she just laid there in bed and cried for hours. But not because of what had occurred between Ash and Lilith. She cried at her sad existence. She cried at all the lies. She cried because there was no one left who loved her. And no one would ever love her...
I know, saddest ending I could've had on the first romantic chapter of the story. And you're votes are in! Looks like Ash/Gaige/Angel for the final pairing now. I decided not to add Lilith to the final mix... Yet. But she is going to be somewhat romantically involved with Ash for the time being.
