An old man was sweeping the floor of a scene, watching the enormous pile of dust that his broom was slowly gaining. He sighed as he looked at the red chairs facing the scene. It was empty. Had been for a few years now.
His heart aching, he finished his task and looked more miserable doing so than when he started. He missed cleaning sticky seats, picking up popcorn before it attracted vermin, calling a crew to do maintenance and repairs.
The O'Clock show used to be big. It used to keep him occupied.
Just as he finished his task of cleaning dust, his cellphone rang. He picked it up nonchalantly. He wasn't in a great mood.
"Phill," he answered. His pale blue eyes widened. He recognized that voice. His heart drummed in his chest. He was nervous, anxious. God… what bad news did it have for him?
"Get yourself a maintenance crew." He heard. "Electronic experts, builders, janitors, whatever you need. Get the place back to its former glory. I have a few more plans for you too."
Phill was silent. He just had nothing to say. He was shocked. Beyond words. He was…
"Right away, Your Highness."
Jubilant.
The person hung up first, without a goodbye. And Phill ran to his office. He spent the rest of the day calling and hiring people. Throughout the day he received blueprints and orders from the Boss and he didn't complain. He didn't sigh in annoyance. It felt good to be back!
Meanwhile…
O'Clock sat in a limo, legs crossed, facing a being he called 'Boss'. He hadn't seen him in a long time. He looked taller, surrounded by a red and black aura. He couldn't see what he looked like physically either. Not even the eyes. The limo drove through empty streets and buildings, a scene of desolation that always made him uneasy.
"O'Clock's Revenge is coming back," Boss said. "Phill is already on his way to repair your little… venue. And add a few modifications I saw fit to add."
"Really?"
"Yes. Don't disappoint me, O'Clock. Get yourself a good crew, I will give you all the funds you need."
O'Clock grinned and nodded. As the limo stopped and he exited it, a halo of purple surrounded him, and he brought back his favourite persona: a fat, bald purple man with white glowing eyes that travelled mostly on a small spaceship.
"It will be done, boss," he said, modulating his voice to be this particular character. Instead of being deep and mysterious, this one was a bit high and sounded happy…
And sassy.
The limo left as O'Clock travelled a portal, bringing him back to his venue. He saw constructions workers hired by Phill. Oh Phill! He missed that old man!
Phill was wearing his human disguise. He looked like an old man with no hair but a long white beard instead. He was guiding the construction of the building facing the O'Clock venue, which was already way on its to be renovated.
"What is this you are building?" He asked, not bothering to get rid of his disguise.
"Boss wanted us to build some kind of hotel. With a kitchen and everything."
"What will we need?"
Phill sighed. "Well, obviously, janitors, cooks, maids and butlers, a manager."
O'Clock sighed. So much work!
"Fine, fine… I need my crew too. God damn it. So sudden."
"Boss was particularly generous. Better not let him down," Phill said. His voice had a hint of malice in it.
"Yeah. And his horns grew bigger. Like his attitude." O'Clock rolled his eyes. "Build me a personal villa while you're at it. If the boss is ordering a hotel, it means neither of us will have the possibility to go home for a long time."
Phill looked at the blueprints. The zone didn't have a lot of land where it was possible to build a villa and apartments for the crew.
"No can do. Unless we ask the boss to make the place bigger…"
"That… wouldn't be a good idea. Fine, just build me a personal floor on the crew's house. The crew will just sleep below."
How generous… Phill missed that from his friend.
"Will do."
O'Clock entered the venue, contemplating the fact that it looked the same. It was not as big as he remembered it. Perhaps it was nostalgia… He saw the empty scene and the seats where his guests would sit. He saw the red seats where the crowd would sit. Lord… so many memories...
He found his office on the floor above and started making calls and everything. At some point, while he was working, he contacted Rawkus.
The Eternal Equalizer answered after a few rings. His eyes widened, he never expected to see O'Clock again. He didn't really like the being. He found him rather annoying and impossibly stupid.
"Yeah, the show is back! Aren't you excited?" O'Clock asked.
"No."
"Anyway, I will need a little something… you know…"
"For how long?"
"Who the f*ck cares? My revenge is back!"
Sighing, Rawkus nodded.
"Since you are being particularly polite, I will allow it."
Cheering, O'Clock hung up. He stood and looked out the window of his office to see the construction of an empire and a legacy he hoped would never die.
ANNOUNCER: Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome back to your host: O'CLOCK!
A man comes out and waves at a cheering crowd. He smiles.
O'Clock: Thank you! Thank you! Yes, I am back! We all are!
The crowd cheered louder. O'Clock silenced them.
O'Clock: First, a little history for our new viewers back home and to help our friends catch up.
So, a few years ago, I first invited all the BF5 characters to my show, called O'Clock. They answered questions and dares. Then, as the show ended, they locked me up and it pissed me off because they left to party without me. So, I brought them back to O'Clock's Revenge with the same concept and a few added things.
This, here, is O'Clock's Renewal. Renewal will be the same as everything else. You can ask questions, dares, challenges. We will project videos of what you demand, and it can be anything, rated K to MA*! But we will add several things. We will add games*! We will add clips and behind the scenes* and a lot more! There will be secrets, fights, stories!
If you want it, we will have it.
So stay tuned for the first episode of O'Clock, coming soon!
The crowd cheered.
Author's notes: I am back in the fanfiction business! I know you missed me but here I am!
So, as you read, Renewal will be the same concept as previous O'Clock shows! Just more stuff you want!
Here is what, you reviewer, can do to make this renewal perfect!
You can ask:
1. Questions
2. Dares/challenges
3. You can ask to see clips, from before pre-canon, in canon and post-canon. (Before HWBF5, from episodes or between episode of HWBF5 and after HWBF5)
4. You can ask for fics, from any rating, going from K to MA. Fics won't be long though. No multichapter thing, unless it's not too much. What I will do is post O'Clock's Renewal on another site (and maybe another one) at the same time under the same penname, so you can find it. When the rating goes higher than T, the fics higher than the allowed rating will be available in their entirety on another site. The site will be available on my profile.
5. There will be games, only one per chapter. Here are the games:
1. FanFic Reading Time: The reviewer give the name of a HWBF5 fanfic and can choose the characters they want to react to it and give their opinion! 1 fic per reviewer.
2. Game Alert: A reviewer can demand that a character or more of their choice play a game of their choosing. 1 game per reviewer. Note: Avoid long games.
3. Truth or Die: A special dare for only one of the characters. There will be a vote to choose the victim. 1 victim per chapter.
4. What If?: Based on the fanfic of the same name, written by amazing authors, reviewers ask for a what if scenario of their choosing. 1 per reviewer.
5. Never Have I Ever: Reviewers are invited to ask a series of questions and choose what characters will play. Maximum five questions per reviewer.
6. Mad Lib: 1 character will play Mad Lib with O'Clock and perhaps other characters then interpret it. Reviewers either vote for a character or send a Mad Lib.
7. Rap Battles: This one will be hard and might not even make it but oh well. A rap battle between characters viewers will have voted for! Maximum 3.
You can request other games if you want to, I am fine with that. Just add rules and be clear.
6. At the beginning of each chapter, there will be a pre-show clip to show something that happened between each chapter of Renewal. You can obviously ask for more during the chapter.
I am in college, so please be lenient. Give me time. I am also working on two other fics I left on hold, Fate of the Wolf and The Other Side of the Cage, and another one on Ao3, plus another story I wrote for NaNoWriMo, so yeah, busy me.
See you for the first episode of O'Clock: Renewal!
