They didn't tell the rest of the team any details when they got back, but since Beast Boy and Starfire weren't really the most pushy with such things, they didn't press ask for more. Starfire merely gave Raven a big hug - choking her in the process, of course - and Beast Boy and Raven exchanged a happy - with somewhat amused look. And Robin...

He entered the common room the last, and looked at Raven carefully, as if wondering if she was really Raven. She blinked. He approached her.

"Glad to have you back," he said quietly.

"Glad to be back," Raven replied. "What happened while I was gone?"

"Oh, not too much. Robin freaked out a few times, but-" Beast Boy was cut off by a glare from their leader.

"Of course I was worried. Raven might have been dead! We had no idea where she was or what had happened to her! Speaking of which..."

Raven shrugged. "It was too bad. I mean, she's Jinx." Actually it was great, but he doesn't need to know that.

"Well that's good."

"Yes. Now, let me go meditate. Haven't gotten to do that in days."

"Alright."

Of course, that was only part of the truth. Sure, she needed to meditate, but there was something else she wanted to do first. She looked at the call history on her cellphone and found a single missed call, probably from... she could guess. She dialed it.

"Hello? Jinx speaking."

Raven smiled. "Miss me?"

A light laugh. She loved that laugh - it was like the most contagious thing ever, at least to her. Even if she rarely felt anything happy at all, Raven could not help but smile when she heard it. "So. What'cha doin'?"

"... I can't come to see you that quickly. I just got back!"

"I know, I know. I'm not that desperate."

"You sound disappointed-"

"I'm not!"

"What, didn't get enough of me in those few days that you kidnapped me?"

"I hate you."

"I thought you loved me."

"I do. But I hate you too."

Raven snickered. "I'll try to come see you tomorrow, Miss Logic."

"Oh really?!"

"Don't sound so excited. I said I'll try. When are you free?"

"All day. Don't got anything planned."

"Okay. I'll tell the team I'm going to see a friend or something. Hopefully Robin doesn't get too worried and sends someone to stalk me or something."

"Just have him send Cyborg."

"Oh, good point. Alright. Talk to you tomorrow?"

"I'll be waiting. Bye hun."

"Bye - you did not just call me hun."

Another laugh, then Jinx hung up. Raven rolled her eyes, then sat on her bed for a few minutes, thinking about the pinkette. Then she shook her head, realizing that she really did need to meditate and began floating up, quietly humming "Azarath Metrion Zinthos" under her breath.

The next day...

"Hey guys," Raven glided past the other Titans in the common room.

They stared. "Rae, what's with the new getup?"

"I'm going to see a friend."

"Be careful," Starfire warned her. "Robin will be very upset if you are to disappear again."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine."

She phased out of the Tower.

A tap on the shoulder. Jinx turned and blinked.

"Who are you?"

"Guess."

Jinx raised an eyebrow. Dressed in all black, long, sleek dark hair, nearly black eyes - she seemed really pale too. A girl maybe her age, slightly shorter than herself with a somewhat low, raspy, but extremely sexy voice - and her face... wait a second, there was no way she wouldn't recognize that voice.

"Raven!"

"Took you long enough to figure it out."

Jinx facepalmed. "I should've realized the moment I saw you. I mean, who else would wear all black in the middle of a sunny day?"

Raven blinked. "What's wrong with that."

The pinkette rolled her eyes. "You have no sense of fashion. Come on, I've got a lot of places to take you to see!"

High up, atop one of the buildings, a certain masked hero spotted the dot of pink moving along one of the sidewalks. Could it be? He reacted quickly, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, gaining ground on the girl.

"Jinx." His eyes narrowed, but then he spotted the dark haired girl walking next to her.

She turned, evidently sensing his anger, eyes widening.

Raven? He drew back slightly, shocked.

They looked at each other briefly. And then it struck him. Of course. Now I get it. He turned around, and headed back up to patrol the city once more. Whatever, it's fine. As long as you're happy. He smiled a bit, then returned back to business, scouting the city for any signs of trouble.

Later...

"Robin, I-"

"How did it go?"

"... What?"

Robin put his hands on Raven's shoulders and looked into her eyes. "I'm not stupid, Raven. And I know what you all think about me, that I have to bring justice to all people who break the law and such. But I'm not like that. You've been inside my head. You know that."

"Oh, well, actually that's not what this is about."

He blinked. "Oh. Then what is it?"

Jinx appeared from behind Raven. "Um... hi."

"You see, Jinx wants to join the Titans. After a long talk today, she decided to try to save people with her powers instead of other things."

Another blink. "That was... unexpected."

Jinx blushed. "Is it okay?"

Robin shrugged. "I suppose it doesn't hurt to have a new Titan. Guess I'll ask ol' Bats to get someone to install another room in here then."

"No no, there's no need for that. I can just stay in Raven's room-"

"What?" Both Raven and Robin looked at her, eyes wide.

"I never agreed to this..." Raven monotoned.

Jinx pouted. "What's wrong with it? I mean, we've shared a bed already-"

"Jinx! Robin doesn't need to know these things-" They turned to the masked hero, who was blushing very faintly.

"Just... let me know if you two need anything. Have fun... doing stuff."

"See? It all worked out great. Dunno what you were worried about."

"Me? You were the one who was so worried that you wouldn't even show yourself until I brought it up with him!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Let's go see how big your bed is. I wonder if both of us can fit on it."

Raven rolled her eyes and followed Jinx back to her - their room. Oh well. Guess I could get used to this. She smiled. Life's good sometimes.
