Miss Me?;) It's okay I wouldn't miss me either T^T it's also okay to throw some rocks at me for not updating in awhile on this story.:) There's no excuses for this though I just didn't feel like writing until later.:P And may I say Thank You for all the support and requests for me to update it actually means a lot to me to see people actually eager for me to update! This one is pretty long because so much is going on I wanted to pace it as best as I could which is another reason It took me so long to write it because I was going to update it two weeks ago but felt it needed more so please enjoy.c:
"Lace up your shoes, here's how we do, Run baby run..." I awoke in my black sheeted bed from my alarm clock which was playing one of my favorite songs, Check Yes Juliet by We The Kings.
"How the hell did I get here?" I muttered under my breath trying to recall the night that I know I definitely spent with one of my favorite bands. I looked down noticing I still had on my outfit from last night too, I smelt of alcohol and sweat I scrunched my nose in the disgust of the smell. I picked up my phone next to me which read "Call me when you wake up!:D" From Bridgette. I decided to take a shower first realizing it was 7:30 and knowing my first class started in an hour. Taking off the Trash The Night shirt I was wearing with my bra, skirt, and fishnets following behind. Turning the 'hot' knob on my shower and slowly getting in so my body could get comfortable with the steaming water that was coming down upon me. As I washed my body thinking about the night or at least what I could remember which wasn't much at all. All I knew was me and Bridge went to see TTN then we went out partying with them at a club and I hung out with Duncan for a while before dancing with Trent. Actually now that I think about, Trent... I got to dance with Trent from TTN and party with the whole band! I squealed with excitement at the thought of my comprehension. Maybe Bridge wanted me to call her to tell me about last night or either swoon about Geoff. Washing my hair with my black lavender scented shampoo and rinsing, I stepped out the shower drying off and putting my Grey bath robe around me and wrapped my towel around my head and headed out my bathroom entering my bed room and going straight towards my phone to call Bridge.
"Gwen! How are you feeling? You passed out in the car yesterday." She sounded worried but excited at the same time probably still happy about last night.
"What? Passed out!? Where at? Did you put me in my bed or 'someone else'?" Emphasizing someone else meaning Duncan. I didn't want him scurrying around my room knowing he'd probably look through my stuff.
"Yeah right after we all tee peed that house on Spooner's Creek you fell asleep right when we got back into the car. Ha ha Trent moved you to the passenger side and he drove us home and they caught a cab back. Duncan suggested they just take your car, jokingly of course." I rolled my eyes at the last part of her sentence smiling a bit... but wait... Tee Peed?...
"Wait a minute we tee peed a house?... Trent too? He tee peed a house... And you!?" I was amazed at those words the good boy Trent tee peed a house? And Bridgette too!? I looked over at my clock remembering my class started soon it was only 7:43 I put Bridgette on speaker so I could get dressed and put the phone on the bed.
"Yeah, Trent was hesitant at first and Geoff pushed me in to it. Before that we went swimming in their neighborhood pool you sat on the edge putting your feet in it and talking to Trent before Duncan tried to pull you down but you kicked him real good in the jaw before he could." We both laughed a bit at that sentence. "And then we bummed it out at McDonald's laughing and talking. And guess what! I got Geoff's number and we've been texting non stop ever since they dropped me off." Bridge squealed at her own words causing an unexpected ringing in my ears from it's loudness.
"You know that's what I originally thought you wanted me to call you for was to swoon about how much you loved meeting Geoff last night. You two couldn't keep your hands off each other." I put my blue lace bra with my matching under wear on following my red Blink-182 shirt and black skinny jeans. Bridgette laughed a bit before speaking.
"Well I just didn't get to that yet. But really Gwen, Geoff is just so perfect! I think we really hit it off!" She was basically screaming at the phone over her excitement while I was packing my bag. Putting my textbooks, brushes, notebooks, and pens into it zipping and wrapping the bag around my back. I grabbed my phone off the bed and turned the speaker off, still talking to Bridgette I slid on my red vans and grabbed my car keys from the dresser and closed my bedroom door as I left the room.
"Yeah, Bridge as much as I'd love to hear about the weird long distance relationship you two are having I'll I have to wait till after my classes to hear it." I said smiling while I had already made it out my house and to my car door opening it and sitting and cranking the car.
"Okay but you better be ready for the long conversation were going to have when you get back." She said hanging up the phone. As the car cranked up I realized my 'TTN' CD was still in as it began to play. "You could want this, see if it fits for a bit and if don't like it you can go like you have been" For the first time I could actually distinct Duncan's voice in these songs. Usually they made it to where they would just add in his voice for an echo effect but it turns out that was just what I was hearing. But for some odd reason I could hear Duncan's voice as if he was actually singing the song and not Trent. His voice seemed to be just as powerful maybe even more than Trent's. I switched to another song this time I knew Trent sang for sure just to make sure it wasn't just the only song. Trent did say they were splitting up the next album so I know Duncan's voice cant be singing these songs as the lead singer since they're just now using that idea. But no matter how many songs I played it seemed as if Duncan was just singing all the songs and Trent was just the backup. I don't know maybe it was just the effects of last nights concert. Just the thought of his voice, the way it mesmerized the audience it was like he was putting you into a trance the eeriness and the ripples in his voice outlined the masculinity it held. I noticed I had spent too much time over thinking this and began driving out to my college. Overton. Bridgette went there too studying in Marine Biologist she had her classes in the afternoon today so she was free at the moment.
The college isn't far from my small house only about a ten minuet drive from here to there. And my job is right around the corner from there I've been working at a seafood buffet called Benjamin's for a year now it's always busy weekdays and weekends which means it's always crowded. We even have a downstairs just for really big parties and a kids play room. I won't lie the food there is pretty good and working there pays good money just to be a restaurant and since a lot of people come it's easy to get good tips the most I ever made in tips for the whole day is $352, that was the day we had a wedding after party and I made sure I was the first to get to them knowing that with all those people I was bound to get better tips than usual. But I worked as much hours as I could so I could go on my trip to Paris another thing I was saving up for other than those tickets. My college has a special program to where you choose any place in the world to travel too and how long you plan to stay the maximum is 2 months. You will have to take another class in that language which is required if you plan to go on the trip and pay for your plane tickets but the college pays for your room which means they put it on your tuition. To me it's worth it, I've wanted to go to Paris since Junior high and I finally could I plan to leave the day after tomorrow and I'm staying for a month. I began packing yesterday early morning before I got ready for the concert with my mom calling me every 5 seconds to make sure I wasn't missing anything essential. Chuckling a bit at the thought I parked my car in the parking lot of Overton and made my way out the car and on the sidewalk to my classes.
Overton wasn't anything special it was just a normal college one that mostly people who lived in the state went too we don't get much out of state students here. I was majoring in Crafts and Artistry and minoring in French and Creative writing. French was just what I studied in this semester for the trip and my Creative writing was something I actually tried out and began to like. My feet made their way to the doors of where my French class was about to begin. I stepped inside and into the class sitting in the middle row which was my signature seat I never liked sitting in the front rows being too close to the professor. Sitting my bag in front of me to take out a pen and notebook I noticed a lot more people were here than usual. My professor seemed not to care as she was just reading her book that I knew for sure didn't have anything with French in general. But she soon put it down and got up from her chair and to the front of her desk leaning on it to began announcing something.
"For all of you that signed up for the Paris trip these two months and are leaving this week please come to my desk after class." She said sounding just as unamused as always. She was probably just giving us our work to do since we were going to be missing it in class. I had already collected any work that was planned to be done while I was gone from my other classes. I searched around the room for my Wikipedia. What I meant by that was Noah. This is the only class we had together and were we met each other. We've been sitting in the middle row together for awhile, at first he acted like I didn't even exist not even acknowledging my presence but then I asked him for a pen since I forgot mine that day and noticed the book he was reading was one I read awhile back ago, I pointed it out to him and we began talking about the book and making references. After that he would ask me if I read a certain book and we would discuss and talk about it; He would also suggest me books to read and give me his review on it. Not only is he book smart he's just knowledgeable in general if he reads something it's in his brain for good. He acts like he knows everything so I call him Wikipedia. Noah was a scrawny boy but was about as tall as an average man he always wore a red sweater vest and a blue polo with a white long sleeved undershirt beneath it. He also wore green cargo shorts with green sneakers, he had medium length brown hair and brown eyes to match. He was nerdy but yet not afraid to say what he's thinking well as long as your not threatening to beat him up. Not to mention I love his sarcasm. As time passed and class went on he never showed up and class ended pretty quickly today it seemed maybe just because I didn't have any one to talk too. I went up too the front of the teachers desk to grab the papers she put out for the people going on the Paris trip and left the class having an hour and a half before my next class and decided to go to get something to eat from our cafeteria. While making my way out I noticed the Wikipedia himself walking towards the building I just came out of. Noah looked antic and in a rush.
"Gwen! What did you guys do today in the class!" He asked in such a worried tone he looked exhausted and pale like his soul was sucked away from him.
"Nothing really we just took notes and got a worksheet. Are you okay?" His appearance kind of scared me a bit seeing he looked like a crazed maniac.
"I'm fine! My roommate kept me up listening to some stupid music can I just see your notebook so I can get the notes I'll give it back to you tomorrow." I handed him the notebook as he left as fast as he could to get to the class. I felt bad for him having such an obnoxious person living with him but it made me feel grateful to live by myself seeing I had someone like that before meaning my younger brother who I love dearly but grateful to be away from. Making my way up to the cafeteria doors and opening it I noticed it was a lot more crowded than usual bustling lines, barley empty tables, and chefs struggling to cook to keep pace. Yeah time to wait in these big lines.
Tuesday had finally arrived and I had to get up at 3 just to make it to my flight. Bridge had texted me the night before so I could have a cute wake up message but I was so excited I couldn't sleep so I read it as soon as she sent it. I basically stayed up the whole night just thinking about this I put my bags in my car already and was just fixing a cheese danish so I wouldn't be that hungry for the airplane food. I continued spreading the cream cheese and when finished threw the knife I was using in the sink and running to my car. I drove to the airport, took out my bags, walked into the building, and looked at the large sign in front when you first walk in and it looked as if my flight was still not here running a little late. I maneuvered my way through people just to sit in the nearest seat of rows to my flight checkout. Today seemed to be pretty empty than it usually is. Well not empty it still had a lot of people but not as much as I expected it also wasn't that loud but I decided to put in my ear buds and listen to music from my phone.
As time went on I began too feel in a endless loop of songs replaying so I took out the ear buds and began watching the TV conveniently close to where I was sitting. Good Morning America was on. I was particularly not a fan of this show but I was pretty tired of my music right now and watched it.
"Up next we have the newly famous band 'Trash The Night' stuck in Europe seems they decided to stay there for awhile for a sick fan as they spend the week with her." That caught my attention. TTN just performed on this show a month ago is this a re run? They don't do re runs do they?
"Yes, right Amy and they're on their first world tour. Too bad we couldn't have them here to perform but it's so nice what they're doing!"
Staying in Europe for a sick fan? Probably Trent's idea the thought of Trent doing that made me smile because only he would stop a whole world tour for such a thing. Duncan probably is mad about that while Geoff was most likely chill about the situation. I wonder if Geoff told Bridge about the decision.
"Flight 284 to Europe is now ready to board." The announcer had finally announced my flight as I quickly got up to board my flight while a massive group of people did the same.
After endless hours on the plane and even more on the bus with the same students also doing the program we had finally arrived to Paris. It was more exciting and a new feeling for me for this was the trip I've been wanting for a lifetime the cloudy dark skies and the smell of gas couldn't change my mind one bit about the place. All that ran through my mind was the beautiful flowers growing the pretty cracked stone walk ways, the open stores and cafes, and the busy people walking and talking in the beautiful language I had to learn to be here. We all were in our rooms adjusting and packing our belongings. The building we were staying at had a great view with the sight of a garden below the balcony's with statues and a water fountain flowing in the middle of everything. Everything so simple in every day lives of most people here fascinated me tremendously even if I have seen them where I lived to me it couldn't even compare to what I was seeing now. All I could do was squeal in happiness as I fell onto my room bed.
"Yeah everything I dreamed of." I said so quietly but wanting to scream it out to the rooftops.
Hope you enjoyed this Chapter I still feel as if I paced this to quickly but eeehhhh... What do I know?
