Warning! This contains some fowl language! Just warning you! Oh, and yea baby! I'm back!
Walking to the beach wasn't exactly pleasant at night. It was dark and cold and honestly, I had better things to do. I really wasn't looking forward to this at all. The whole confronting thing was really just a show. I'd rather just say Wyatt and I weren't dating and just had a fling. But something was nagging me. I mean, Wyatt and I were dating right? Or not? It was confusing.
I continued to walk down the sandy path to the beach. A sudden breeze went by and I shivered. Here I was, the all-mighty-Callie-who-don't-give-two-shits, walking on the sand and wondering if everything was worth it. Brandon was great, probably the best guy I've ever meet. Not because he was good-looking or anything (which he was), but he accept me for being the all-mighty-Callie-who-don't-give-two-shits. I smiled to myself as I neared the usual hangout spot us "cool" kids had.
It only took me a second to get seated by the bonfire and comfortable in the sand. I looked up at the stars. They were clear as day. It reminded me of my mom and Jude and the Fosters. I wonder what would've happened if I still had a family of my own. Would I have meet Brandon? Mariana? Lexi? Jesus? Probably not, I figured. I shook my head and looked around for Wyatt.
"I said eight, right?" I thought to myself, "I know I did."
Ten minutes had passed and still no Wyatt. I contemplated sending a text but knowing him, he would never answer. A loud "clank" came from behind me. I turned around swiftly and jumped out of my comfy sand seat.
"Whose there?" I yelled out the most cliché thing to come to mind.
"It's fuckin' me. Damn, calm yourself," the voice called back. It was Wyatt.
"Took your time," I said, finally seeing his full face in the glow of the fire.
"Well, shit, sorry mom," he snorted back. I glared at him as he came closer. "What did you want?"
I was silent for a moment. I didn't think of what I was going to say to This Wyatt. This Wyatt is the drunk or stoned Wyatt. He had once told me he'd try anything just for shits and giggles.
"You're drunk," I replied casually. I didn't want to get him upset.
"No, shit," was his curt reply.
"What's your problem? Why are you drunk?" I asked slowly. This Wyatt was also the dumb one.
"Cause I fuckin' can," he growled, "What the hell do you care?"
I looked at him dumbfounded. Wyatt never got this drunk. He was not in any shape or form a lightweight. He must have had a lot of whiskey and tequila.
"I just want to talk," I looked at him as he came even closed to me. I could smell the alcohol permeating from him. "But it looks like the wrong time. I should just go. We'll talk when you're sober." I dusted off the sand and put my shoes back on.
"The fuck you will, Callie," he yelled. He went for a quick grab of my wrist but I pulled it back. He glared at me. "Talk,"
"No, Wyatt. You won't even remember this,"
"Seriously? Just say it!" he yelled and dropped the beer bottle I didn't see he had.
I stared at him and took a step back. "You kissed her. Cameron. You kissed her,"
He glared at me and then his lips quirked up. Then he started smiling and laughing and he was holding his stomach for dear life.
"What? You-you ask me a-about her?" he roared in laughter and I got pissed off.
"Yea, well," I said with anger flaring up, "You cheated so-yea that seems like the funniest freaking joke ever,"
He doubled over laughing and this time I had enough. I turned around and started walking away. "Hey!" he called out. "Hey!"
I walked faster and faster and soon I was running down the beach. When I thought I lost him, I slowed down and took a breather. "Deep breath, Cal. Deep breath,"
I stood straight and started walking towards the path I took to get here. I felt a quick jerk and I lost my balance for a second.
"You bitch," he whispered in my ear, "fuckin' gave you permission to run away?"
"Get the hell off of me!" I yelled yanking my arm. His grip was tight.
"Stop it!" he yelled. But I didn't hear him. I keep trying to get away from this drunkard.
"I said stop it!" he screamed and I saw him swing. A bone-cracking sound was heard and then the pain came.
Hey ya'll! I'm back! I randomly just decided to do this chapter but it's short and sweet and to the point! Love ya guys!
