The Night and Days of Kurt: Finale
Day #172
KURT
Sam, Kurt, and Noah watch with pride as they watch Mercedes through interrogation room window. The girl is crying and her rights are being read to her. Kurt feels a sense of warmth come over him as he stands between his two loves, and he watches the biggest trouble in his life get her justice.
"I never really thought she was that manipulative." Noah mutters.
Kurt nods. "I knew. I just thought that she could get us out of trouble, or on the right side of teachers . . . but I never thought that she would sink this low." Kurt gulps and looks away, resting his head on Sam's good shoulder. "I can't believe that I trusted her."
"It's not your fault." Sam and Noah say at the same time before Sam rests his head on Kurt's.
"She was good for you then. People sadly change." Sam offers an answer to Kurt, making him shrug.
Noah tightens his hand around Kurt's. "Sam's right. I like to think that in some way, we're better for it."
Kurt smiles before he looks back through the two-way mirror, unsure of how he should feel. He knows that what he started a long time ago led to Mercedes unraveling, but he's just not convinced that she was always meant to go down this road.
I guess this is her low point in life. Maybe she'll turn her life around.
FINN
Finn finds himself pulling the slim body closer to his own, their lips pushing each others head back and forth. Finn finally brings his head up and hold their heads in place. He can feel the hands going up and down his body before one sliding into the front of his pants. He breaks back with a smile. Before he can go in for another kiss, he feels the warm breath of his boyfriend behind him.
"It's actually hot watching you too make out." Mike chuckles before kissing his neck.
Finn smiles before pulling back from a smirking Sebastian. "He's a great kisser."
"Surprisingly-" Sebastian licks his lips as he pulls his hand from Finn's pants. "So are you. Both of you. Who would have known?"
"Especially on the first date." Mike states as he steps to Finn's side to look at Sebastian. "I have to say, I'm not entirely opposed."
"And here I was trying to be a gentlemen by walking you to your door." Sebastian laughs as he gestures to the front porch that they stand on.
"Who knew that good guys had all of the fun?"
"My entire life story." Finn mutters to himself before stepping back from Sebastian, pulling Mike with him. "But I had a pretty good night."
"Of course." Sebastian nods as he smooths down his shirt, his face suddenly becoming stern. "I didn't mean to overstay my welcome. I'll see you soon."
As Sebastian goes to rush past them, Mike reaches out and grabs his arm with a sigh. "Sebastian, he wasn't telling you to go. He doesn't know how to end conversations."
"Oh." Sebastian's expression softens.
"Come on in, dude." Finn smiles.
SANTANA
"Hey, Tina?" Santana stands in the archway to the kitchen, watching the other girl clean the counters thoroughly. "Can we talk?"
"You can insult me from where you are." Tina announces dryly. "I can hear you."
"No." Santana shakes her head as she walks into the kitchen awkwardly. "I wanted to apologize."
Tina flings her head up so fast she bumps that back of her head into the cabinets. She yelps in pain as Santana stands awkwardly, not sure what to do. Tina looks to Santana with a pained face.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
'Alright listen." Santana sighs before moving to lean against the counter next to Tina. "Look, we've been through a lot with our boys. Yet even then, I don't consider you part of the group when I think of everyone. And with so much happening, I should have checked on you two. They all talk of you fondly. I'm going to try and make sure that you feel a part of the group like I am. I mean I know you are, but I shouldn't be selfish. And I have been."
Tina just stands there, her mouth hanging open as she tries to process the info-dump. Before she can respond, Santana pulls her into a hug. It's awkward, but Tina ends up bringing her arms up to hug the other girl.
"And I really do like your hair cut." Santana mutters into the hug.
KURT
Kurt walks into their small home, smiling. Tina, Brittany, and Santana had offered to clean up the place and they had succeeded. The house was spotless and it smelled like cookies.
I'll have to thank Tina for that one.
He was so happy to have the house back to normal. No more damage, no more cops standing by for protection, and the utter silence of nature filling up the house. He suddenly smiles.
I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
Know there was something that, meant something that I left behind
He finds himself thinking about the long journey that it took to get to this moment.
I can't believe that it started off as a bet. I was so stupid.
He shuts the front door and listens to the sound of Noah laughing in the bedroom.
When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets
Leave something to remember, so they won't forget
He can see all of the great moments: His first date with Sam and Noah, their first kisses, their first song.
He clears his throat. "I was here. I lived, I loved. I was here."
His heart beats loud as he realizes that he's finally in the peak of his life.
I've worked for this. I deserve this happiness.
He walks down the hallway and peaks into his bedroom, finding Sam sitting in between Puck's legs, in his tight arms. He can hear the tv, but his focus is on the two laughing boys.
I did, I've done everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
He smiles as he opens the door, singing to himself as the two boys invite him into their bed with open hearts and so much love. "I was here."
So there will be a few chapters left to wrap up this trilogy. :) Let me know what you think.
The song is I Was Here by Beyonce.
