Chapter 11

I start to pull out of the Rock parking lot.

"Well where to first Lo?"

"I could use a spruce juice fix. My treat."

"Sure I'm craving a pomegranate/Mango/Blueberry smoothie."

"Anything else you're craving?"

"Yes, ice cream and french fries with a chili dip."

"Oh boy I hope you don't always crave foods like this. Don't tell Sasha?"

"Heck no, just because he's my dad doesn't mean I'm going to tell him everything and ruin all our fun. Where to Spruce Juice or somewhere else?"

"Somewhere else. We can get Spruce Juice later with Kaylie, Payson, Amanda, and maybe invite Natalie from Denver Elite since she was our teammate at Worlds."

"Sure, and I know the best place to get French Fries! McDonald's and we can get ice cream at Sweet Frog."

"I've never had Sweet Frog but I've had McDonald's fries. They are really good. Maybe I'll get us a meal with the fries and get it to go to Sweet Frog."

"Sounds good Lo. You're such an amazing friend to me. You're like a sister really."

"Em you're the amazing friend, you've put up with my bitchiness, nastiness and meanness towards you when you first got here. I'm sorry I was so mean towards you Em. You didn't deserve that."

"It's behind us Lo, we are living in the here and now."

"Thanks Em. You're amazing."

I pull into a McDonald's drive thru.

"Hello, welcome to McDonald's can I take your order?"

"Uh yes can I get a chicken BLT with a large fry and a medium sweet tea?"

"Would that be all ma'am?"

I look at Lauren to ask her what she wants and I see her scribbling something on a piece of paper. She hands me the paper.

"Uh yes , 3 more Chicken BLT's, 12 more large fry, 10 McChickens, a small sprite, and a small fry."

"Is that all Ma'am?"

"Yes, thank you."

"Your total is $72.30. Pay at the first window please."

I drive up to the first window and hand the person there $80 in cash that Lauren gave me and wait for my change. I double count the change I get to make sure I get $7.70 back.

"Thank you for stopping at McDonald's your order will be filled at the second window."

"Thank you have a nice day."

I drive up the to second window and it opens up right away and I'm handed a drink tray. I mentally check off the drinks that we ordered. Two minutes pass and we get a medium sized bag which contained the 4 Chicken BLT's and I mentally checked them off. We get two big bags with all the fries in them so I checked off both the large fry and small fry. We get the 10 McChickens last.

I put the car in drive and start driving to Sweet Frog.

"We can get Sweet Frog to go too but we have to go in to get it because they don't have a drive thru."

"Ok sounds good. Then we can stop by your place to eat and you can pack an overnight bag with gym clothes. We can work out in the gym at my house to help keep you in shape. Baby friendly of course."

"Ok that sounds good."

I pull up to Sweet Frog and turn off the car, and after both doors are open I lock the car and get out. Then I head into the little ice cream shop and get a medium sized bowl and I put the flavors of Vanilla, Chocolate, Cappuccino, Cookies N' Cream, Cheesecake, Strawberry, Raspberry and Salted Caramel. Then I top it with Butterfinger crumbs, Caramel Cups, Cheesecake Bites, Cookie Dough Bites, Heath crumbs, Kit Kat crumbs, M & M's, Peanut Butter Chips, Twix crumbs, White Chocolate Chips, and Whip Cream. Then I top that off with Caramel, Chocolate, Chocolate Hazelnut, Marshmallow, Raspberry, Strawberry, Hot Fudge, and Hot Caramel sauces. Then I get a small cup of plain Vanilla to dip my fries in.

I go up to the counter and put my cups on the scale there. Then Lauren comes up behind me and puts hers next to mine and it comes in at 24 ounces.

"Would that be all for you girls?"

"Yes, thank you."

"Ok, your total is $10.80."

I pull my wallet out before Lauren can and pull out $15 and hand it to the cashier.

"Your change is $4.20. You girls have a nice day."

"Thank you, you too. Oh do you have lids for these?"

"Here you go."

"Thank you."

I put the lids on the correct cups and pick them up and walk out to the car with them.

"You know you didn't have to get the ice cream Em. I was going to treat you to everything today."

"I wanted to Lo. Besides you got enough food to feed the whole gym. Haha. So it was my pleasure to get the ice cream. Come on let's go so we can eat before our ice cream melts."

I start the car and drive the few minutes to the house. I grab the ice cream and a few of the McDonald's bags and head to the door. I set the ice cream on the railing of the porch and unlock the door and then grab the ice cream and take it to the freezer so it wouldn't melt while we got our lunch out.

I go out to see if Lauren needs help and she's got the rest of the bags in her hands and the drinks in her hands. I hold the door open for her and then close it after she gets in. I lock it back up after she gets in because I'm paranoid.

I look thru the bags and pull out two Chicken BLT's and a large and small fry. Then I put the rest of the food in a walmart bag so it would be easier to carry. Then I get my small vanilla ice cream out of the freezer so I can have it to dip my fries in.

"This is Sasha's house? It's so beautiful inside and feels homey."

"Yea I love it here. Amanda lives here now too. When we're done eating I'll give you a tour of the place."

"Ok cool."

I hand Lauren her food and I open mine and start digging in. I haven't had McDonald's in a long time and since I've been craving this it was like heaven on earth to me.

I get done eating my lunch and go to the freezer and get mine and Lauren's ice cream out of the freezer and hand Lauren her's.

"Thanks for Lunch Lo. That was heaven on earth to me."

"Thanks for the Ice Cream Em. What flavor did you get?"

"I got 8 different flavors. What flavor did you get?"

"I got Cherry. My favorite."

We ate in silence for a few minutes before I finally spoke up.

"Hey Lo, I was wondering if I can use your first name as a middle name if I have a girl?"

"Really Em? I'd be so honored if you chose my name as your daughter's middle name."

"Thank you Lo. I wish I could have more than one God Mother. I would have you, Kaylie, Payson and Amanda be the Godmother. But whoever I chose as the Godmother they will be an amazing Godmother and she will still be an aunt but so will everyone else."

"I love you Em. You're like the sister I wish I had."

"Love you too Lo."

We finish our Ice cream and I get up and throw everything away and motion for Lauren to follow me so I can give her a tour of the house.

I start in the kitchen where we are and head to the family room, living room, point out the bathroom downstairs. Then I head upstairs and I point out my dad's room and Amanda's room and the bathroom and then I open the door to my room and show her around inside and my ensuite bathroom. Then I take her next door to the empty room where the nursery will be.

I start tearing up because I didn't know that my dad had cleared out the room for me. I made a mental note to thank him when I saw him tomorrow.

"Em what's wrong?"

"Oh nothing Lo it's just that this room looked like mine just a few days ago. Dad must have moved things out of this room while I wasn't home. It was a surprise. I'm going to go to my room and get a bag together and then we can take the stuff and drop it off at your house."

I go into my room and grab my gym bag and empty it out of all things gymnastics. I put my favorite t-shirt in it to wear after we get done working out. Then I grab my workout shorts and my fav tank top for when I'm running. I find my favorite pair of jeans and put them in my bag with my tennis shoes. I then go find my toothbrush, hair brush, and my favorite strawberry shampoo and conditioner. I grab my prenatal vitamins and put them in there too since I'll need them after breakfast.

I double check to see if I have everything and since I do I shoulder my bag and head downstairs and grab the bag of food and put them in my car. I poke my head back into the door and call out to Lauren that I'm ready to go.

I lock the door behind Lauren and I and double check to make sure it's locked. Then I go over to my car and I get in and pull out of the driveway and head over to Lauren's place. It doesn't take me long to drive there. Just 10 minutes. I put the car in park and then grab my bag and the McDonald's food and then wait for Lauren to unlock her door. She takes the food from me and points me in the direction of her room. I head to her room and put my bag on the bed and wait for her.

We get to Denver after what seems like forever in the car. I pull up to the 16th St. Mall and find a close parking spot.

"I hope this mall is ok Lo. There are like five stores here we can go to that I know have things we would like."

"This is fine Em. We can hit the Southwest plaza next. Then the Cherry Creek Shopping center and then head home."

"Sounds good Lo. And I hope I don't spend too much. My dad would kill me. He only gave me $200 spending limit on a card he gave me."

"Don't worry about it Em. If you reach your $200 spending limit then the rest is on me."

"Are you sure Lo? I don't want to bother you with anything I can't get."

"Don't worry about it Em. Seriously it's no bother and I know Daddy won't mind.

"Thanks Lo you're amazing."

"You're welcome Em."

We walk into the Mall and I see Claire's and I pull Lauren that way because I really want to go there. I love shopping at Claire's because they have a great assortment of jewelry, hair accessories and a few other things.

I walk in and grab a little basket for Lauren and I.

I go right over to the Jewelry sets and I browse around and I find a Silver heart, Pearl and Crystal E initial Stud earring set of three, and an initial E three piece Jewelry gift box. Lauren found the same gift box I did with her initial. She also found a Golden Floral L initial necklace and ring set. Lauren found Rhinestone framed teardrop crystal Gem stud earrings and a set of best friends multicolored corded bracelets set of 5 for her, Kaylie, Payson, Amanda and me. I then found a Mother/Daughter BFF necklace set and a Let it go snowflake hardcase and a Glittery twist skinny headband.

I take our basket up to the counter and I let Lauren go first. She only spent $44. I spent $50.50 which meant I only had $149.50 left to spend.

I pick up my bags and then I go over to the cart rack and put in the change that it takes and I have Lauren pull out a cart so that we can have a cart to put all our bags in. Then I start walking towards Hot Topic.

I browsed the racks of clothes with Lauren and she found a Why Stop Dreaming Muscle top for girls and then I came across a Walking Dead Hide Behind Daryl V Neck Tshirt.

Since we couldn't find anything else that we liked we walked up to the checkout counter. I let Lauren go first again and her total came to $24.50. I was really happy that I found a Walking Dead shirt and I set it up there and it came to $22.50.

I walk over to the cart that Lauren and I got and I put my bags in it. Then we walked over to Forever 21 to browse around. I found a lace fit and flare dress, camo print collared dress, low rise camo-cargo pants, distressed boyfriend jeans and a sequin camo tee. Then Lauren found a Matalassé skater dress, a sequin tulle combo dress, sequined skirt, and over the knee faux leather boots for her in Brown and then she found a black pair for me.

I put everything that I picked out on the counter and it came up to $121.50. That was the last of my budget that my dad gave me. Then Lauren put her stuff up there and it came up to $153.40.

We put our bags in our cart and then walked over to Gap. Lauren and I found matching V neck long sleeve shirt. She got red and I got blue. Then Lauren found a pair of dark blue 1969 Precision true skinny jeans and I found a pair of grey leather flip flops. Our total was $224.80.

We put those bags in the cart and walked over to the last store we wanted to visit in that mall. TJ Maxx. Lauren picked out a Lace fit and flare short dress in red, and a padded push up bikini set. I found a black wrap dress with rosette details, printed lace trim nightshirt, lonce fleece sleep pants, a strapless bandini top with crochet swim bottoms, and a halter tankini set. We take everything up to the checkout counter. It all came out to $396.92.

We put our stuff in our cart and then we walk to the front door. I left Lauren with the cart and went to go get my car and pull up to the door so that we can load the clothes into the car. Then we headed off to Southwest Plaza shopping center.

I get there and it is a small shopping center but there were four shops that we wanted to visit.

I get a cart again and we go to rue 21 first. Lauren found a red waterfall sequin mesh party dress, vintage destroyed cuffed skinny jeans, and a black zipped up blazer. Then I found a hooded dream varsity top, blue quilted puffer vest, plush navy animal ear robe and a brushed need coffee sleep pants. We go up to the counter to check out and the card reader had a sign that read out of order cash only today sorry for your inconvenience. I cursed and looked at Lauren.

"Can you get cash or can we not get things from rue 21 today?"

"I can get cash, don't worry Em."

"I'm not worried. If you couldn't have gotten cash we could have came back another day."

Lauren went to the ATM at the back of the store and got $300 out just in case we run into this problem again.

Our total came to $189.93. I grabbed some bags and took them to the cart. I texted my dad to let him know how Lauren and I are doing.

*Hey dad Lauren and I are doing great. Lauren bought me some stuff and then I bought some of my own stuff. I reached the spending limit and I'm not going to go over it.*

After Lauren gets out of the store we head over to Payless shoesource.

I found Solstyce slip ons in blue and grey. They're athletic shoes. Then I found black flora flats. Lauren didn't find anything so I texted my dad again to ask him if I could just pay for them myself.

*Hey dad I know you gave me a spending limit but I found two pairs of shoes at payless and Lauren didn't find anything so I'm wondering if I can just pay for them myself?*

I wait for my dad to reply before I decide whether to get the shoes or not.

*Emily since you asked and are very responsible yes you can get those shoes. Thank you for asking me first.*

*Thank you dad*

I go up to the checkout counter and put the shoes that I decided on and the total came up to $42.98. I paid for them and then put the two bags into mine and Lauren's cart. Then we walked over to Journey's.

At Journey's I picked out a Nothing to wear hoodie and a Jansport right pack expressions American Backpack and Lauren picked out an I don't care T-shirt and a Vans Realm Galaxy Nebula backpack. We took our four things to the cashier and our total came out to be $140. I was glad I found that backpack because it made me think of my dream. I put the bags in the cart and then we walked to JC Penny which was our last store.

At JC Penny I got a True Color Maternity short sleeve scoopneck tunic, a maternity short sleeve keyhole back black dress, Sketchers sketch air relaxed fit athletic shoes in grey and pink and a laredo kadi cowboy boots. Lauren found Nike FS Lite 2 running shoes in grey and red and Michael Antonio Thom Peep Toe platform pumps in black. I put the clothes on the counter and Lauren put the shoes on the counter and the cashier rang us up pretty quick. Our total was $421. I was thinking we were going to spend more because JC Penny is an expensive place.

We take our cart to the door we came in and I went to get the car again. We put the bags in the car and I return the cart to the rack. We then drive to the last place in Denver that we are going to shop at. Only two stores there that we want to visit.

I park close to the doors at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. We go in and I decided we should go to Macy's first since it was the furthest away.

At Macy's I found Cole Haan Saville Skimmer Flatts in black and Lauren found a Free people Lovely in lace mini dress in black too and that was all we found that we liked. We spent $176.

Then we went to bath and body works. Lauren got Cherry Blossom Body Lotion, Fine fragrance Mist, Shower Gel, and Ultra Shea body cream. Then she got Paris Amour Golden sugar scrub and Japanese cherry blossom diamond shimmer mist. I found Love and Sunshine body lotion, Shower Gel, Fine fragrance mist, Ultra shea body cream, foaming sugar scrub, and diamond shimmer mist. We take our products up to the checkout counter. Our total was $169.

We took the bag from Macy's and Bath and Body works and walk out to the car. It's starting to get dark and I was tired so I didn't trust myself driving so I was wondering if Lauren would drive. Well I wouldn't know if I didn't ask her.

"Lo would you mind driving back to your place? I'm tired and don't trust myself to drive right now."

"Sure Em. I'd love to drive. Maybe you can take a nap on the way back to my place."

"I probably will take a nap Lo. I'm really tired. This baby growing thing is exhausting."

We burst out laughing as we climb into the car.

Before we are even out of Denver I am asleep in the passenger side.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I Do not own anything from Make it or Break it. I found the items that the girls bought in the story online from those stores. They are in fact real stores at real malls. I am so sorry that this took me forever to write. I didn't have a computer for a while. And then I moved back up to my parents house and I just didn't have the will to update or write my story. Then when I finally did have the will to write I just didn't have the time because I was in my first semester of college. It's been a year since then and I have not had a chance to go back to school but I still didn't have a computer to write on. I could have typed it on my phone through google docs but I just didn't feel like it. I was planning on this being a longer chapter but I really wanted to update for you guys that are following my story. I haven't had a computer in a while and I borrowed my mom's laptop for filling out some job applications and got a job like the second day that I borrowed her laptop. So Now I just have to get a computer for work. But I will only be able to get on it after I get an antivirus software on it and when I'm not out with my driving instructor or not training for 8 hours at the computer from 1pm to 11pm. Yay me! (That was totally sarcasm) I don't want to sit at a computer for 8 hours to do training through a virtual classroom but oh well it's what I have to do. I just hope that this job will be good for me. Right now it's seasonal but I have a chance to stay within the company so if I can stay within the company I should be good and be able to update as often as I can. I will only get 2 10 minute breaks and a half an hour lunch so I probably won't update or write any of my story on lunch because I will be fixing dinner for myself and the love of my life at the same time trying to get my lunch made and eaten in that time. Plus I have to make sure that there are leftovers for my love to be able to take lunch with him to work. So I will be pretty busy. But if I don't stay with the company because it is seasonal then I should be able to get back on in a few months and update or even start working on my story again. So thank you to everyone who has been patient with me and has remained with me all this time. I really hope you enjoy this chapter. I'm sorry it took me a few years to get it written and out to you guys. Love you guys so much. Thank you. And I know there are personal stuff in there but I really want you guys to understand that I won't have a lot of time for the next few months but I am excited to see what you guys think of this chapter.
