Third POV
Somewhere along the grassy plains held an old ruin that looked to be nothing but rubble. On the contrary, a hidden entrance was there that led down some cracked stone and deeper into a large chamber that held more doorways to more halls and rooms. Though in this chamber sat a heavier-set man that was thumping his fingers against the arm of his wooden chair. Displeasure was masked onto his rugged face as his dark skin showed to have an irritated pulse showing on his temple. A black beard lined his chin as he scratched it for a moment as dark obsidian eyes glared to the man bowed before him. Black locks shifted as he leaned forward with a snarl.
"What do you mean there is no trace to follow?!"
"It is how I said it is, Sir. We followed its trail and it is now cold from there." An irritated growl left the man as he smacked his goblet from his end table, his rings making it dent before it fell to the floor.
"Keep searching! I need this power!" The man hollered out in irritation as he has been searching for hundreds of years and now a dead end.
"Yes, Sir." The man soon scurried away and a tall, pale man appeared from one of the doorways with a hand holding the brim of his hat.
"Scaring subordinates always seemed like a good strategy." The sarcasm seethed with his good humor of it, causing a snort to leave the other man.
"Shush, Laffitte." A shuddered chuckle left the mentioned man as he walked into the room more with a hand twirling a cane gracefully.
"Ah, but Teach, maybe a show of reward would make them work more effortlessly? It worked that time before when trying to find the Well of Desire." Dark eyes peered over as a smirk soon found the man before humming out loud.
"True, find me something to reward them with."
"As you say." The tall male tipped his hat before disappearing.
"Soon the Ring of Chaos will be mine."
Luffy's POV
"Mah, Penguin," a whine left me as I peered to the man and was hanging upside down on the couch in the common area. The man I spoke to looked up from his book, and even though they were covered by a hat I could feel his eyes on me.
"Yeah, Luffy?"
"I'm bored." This statement was stemming from the fact that Law went to go do some hunting for the house since it was his turn for like the next year since he has been gone. Well, Shachi said they were just joking about the year part, but he needed to start contribute since at least three people need food to survive.
"Ah, well…" This concerned look was on him as he pulled the book fully down to his lap before rubbing at his neck. "We could maybe get Bepo and Shachi to play hide and seek or something."
"Wha?! Awesome! What about Bart?"
"He usually doesn't."
"I'll ask!" I leaped off the couch as I moved through the room and exited with Penguin behind with stutters.
"Wait, Luffy!"
"Grrraaahh!"
"Aaaaahhahahaha!" I ran through the hall way as Bart was chasing Shachi and I as the other two escaped somewhere else. Laughter still left us as Bart was grinning with his chase. We split up and took different rooms before I jumped behind a chair near a wall. Steps moved away from me and I heard a squeal from Shachi before a 'got ya, ahahaha!' from Bart. A giggle left me as the larger man began out of the room and Shachi detoured into the room I was in as I could tell by footsteps.
"Found ya!" The person appeared overhead and I whined out.
"No fair! You totally used your sense of smell!" I shouted to him while standing up and he laughed out.
"It isn't against the rules!"
"Luffy-ya?" I looked to the doorway as Bepo was standing with Law. A grin spread across my face as I began moving over to him whilst leaping into his arms.
"Law~! Shachi cheated!" I pointed a finger at the accused and he waved hands around.
"Did not!"
"Well, I brought home plenty of game home, so Penguin can go to the market in town for the fruits and vegetables." My eyes found mentioned man appear beside us with a head tilted as he was 'gazing' at us.
"Sure, I will be back in time for dinner." That was all before he disappeared in a flash and even though I have seen it before I wasn't quite used to an immortal speed. It wasn't like Law's pop here and there, it was an actual run. Which apparently Law does have the ability too, but he also has a special ability that I am still trying to figure out what it is exactly.
"Well Shachi and I better start portioning the meat." Bart was stalking towards us as he stretched his arms.
"Let's get to it."
"Boo, boo, we were playing!"
"Maybe later, 'kay?" Bart offered as he did seem to enjoy himself and this caused a bit of surprise look to come onto Law's face as I noticed.
"Okay! See you guys later!" I stated up in a chirp as I shifted to lean into the man before me as my legs were still locked behind his back.
"I will go look for some extra game!" Bepo offered up before making his way to the dining room to go out the back.
"It's just you and me, Luffy-ya." Lips skimmed my neck, causing a shudder to leave me and a whine.
"I'm hungry." A hand moved so a finger could jab into my stomach which made giggles leave me.
"You're always hungry." Kisses were made to my collarbone and I squirmed in my hold.
"I'm uncomfy." A pout was on me so that when he pulled back he got a full look of it. This smirk found his lips as he shifted a hand up.
"Room." Suddenly with a twitch of fingers we were standing in our room as he walked with me. I found the bed with a giggle as he shifted to look at a letter on his desk. A wiggle of glee left me as I flopped onto my stomach and hummed out to relax. "It looks like Doflamingo needs me to meet with him this weekend."
"Where at?"
"Probably his home. Don't worry I will go and be back before you know it." Before I could shift he landed next to me so I could see his smirk. A hand began petting my head as I hummed out. "I know you don't like airplanes, so I will go."
"Boo, boo, be back in one day?"
"As long as weather is permitting." A frown was on me before wiggling with whines. "You behave while I am gone."
"I'll ask Bepo to take me out with him then." This gaze was at me in questioning as he wasn't very sure on if it was a great idea. A pout deeply found me as he soon rolled eyes with a sigh coming out.
"As long as he isn't busy." A grin left me at the victory before pressing kisses to his cheek. My body was pulled more against him as he rolled to be on top of me with fingers finding my hair. "Luffy-ya…" Eyes viewed down at me with a smirk on his face and before I could reply, lips found mine as he pressed deeply and I moaned into it.
"This is so much fun~!" I rolled in the snow before shifting to view Bepo as he rolled around on his back with laughter.
"I should bring you along more often!" A big grin was on the bear as I soon shifted to begin moving with him. "Are you feeling any cold? A cave is just ahead and we can break to make sure you heat back up."
"Oh okay, Law would probably want that!" This nod left him in agreeance before I hopped around in the shin high snow as we conversed about getting serious on hunting. We found the cave, Bepo had to carry me through the almost waist high snow around it before I found a log inside to relax on and helped with getting the fire going. He brought in some wood and firs as I got it going before noticing him sitting for a minute, shifting his orange jumpsuit around.
"I will go search the area for game and see if I can get a good kill before coming back." The grin showed on the bear as I soon nodded whilst holding my hands out. It did make a difference in this cave as it was out of any wind, not that there was any, but it was very neutral in the cool temperature.
"Good luck!" I shouted up as he left the mouth of the cave before beginning to run out and to the trees to the right. A hum was leaving me as I let the fire fill me with its warmth through my hands as I had taken my gloves off. It felt like swirls moved through my body and I trembled with how good it felt. Then I felt something odd in the air as I looked around, as if something was watching me. An ominous wave came towards me and I looked to the cave that went deeper and I slowly got up.
Find me.
"Huh?" I spoke out whilst looking around again before the wave made me look to the direction like a moment ago.
You are the one.
"One? One what?" It was like the ominous wave was tinted purple in the air as it wafted at me before trailing back. It wasn't very dark, but still looked creepy.
Free me.
"Free?" I asked out as my legs began moving forward on their own and soon the opening grew smaller.
Follow.
"Maaa? I don't know… Law might get mad."
Follow.
Curiosity lingered as I bit my lip before whining as I began crawling into the provided space. A hissing noise left me at the cold stone, but still shifted into the tunnel. I fit perfectly as I shuffled through before noticing sunlight on the other side and soon found an opening where ice was surrounding the area. In the middle though was a pillar with something on top and so I stood up with pats to my jumpsuit. The thing on the ice pillar was producing that purple mist that soon disappeared as I got closer. I soon found myself in front of it as I looked down at the silver ring that held a dark jade jewel with two amethyst gems next to it as those connected to the band.
Wear me.
"What?" I asked, but I was already grabbing it with my bare hand and soon slipped it on my ring finger on my right hand. The ring seemed to shrink to my finger size and fit perfectly. I held up my hand to examine it before hearing a noise and soon turned.
Chaos can be brought by your hand alone.
The dark shadowed figure was lingering with that purple smoke before it disappeared and the mist seemed to be sucked into the ring again.
You are the new owner.
"Ah! Did you trick me?" I tugged at the ring as it wouldn't remove itself and I heard a snicker.
No, I am Chaos and you are my new Master. Summon me at will.
"Chaos? Why would I do that?" It was silent and I whined out again with a shake of my hand before realizing it was stuck for good.
"Luffy?!" My name was heard from the small tunnel as I heard a frantic Bepo and I quickly moved to get back. As I made it out of the tunnel and got up to head to him, the bear turned with hands on his head. "Luffy! Where were you?!" The panic had some relief to it as he ran over before hugging me tightly. "Don't do that!"
"Sorry, Bepo! I found this cool tunnel!" I spoke out as he soon pulled me back with a look to the wall.
"That small thing? Anyways, I'm just glad you are safe." Pats were to my shoulders before he shifted. "I got dinner, shall we head back?"
"Yeah!" I clapped hands before shifting to grab my gloves and he helped me put the fire out with snow.
"Let's go!"
