Chapter 40: Something Blue

SORA'S POV

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid! How could I do that? I was so stupid. What kind of a reaction is that anyway? Who does that? Me, apparently. I couldn't even bring myself to text him and explained, not that I could, or at least say sorry.

We'd been gone for about four hours. One hour was spent in the car ride to the dock and the other three hours were spent on the yacht back home. We were close to docking and it was just about night so the sun was setting giving the water a nice nectarine color. It was truly beautiful. One of things I loved about the island was the view of the sunset. Something you couldn't really get in the city. Cloud and Dad were at the front of the yacht looking out onto the water talking and occasionally laughing like old friends. Xion was sitting sullenly alone looking at her phone. Roxas had claimed the large cabin to himself the moment we step on the boat and had been there since. I was port-side looking down at the orange tinted water thinking about how awkward and dumb I had been with Riku. I'd have to fix this.

"Sora, Can you go get Roxas? We'll be docking soon." Dad asked me.

I nodded and headed down to the cabin. When I got down there Roxas was on the table dancing with his headphones on. The volume was so loud I could hear every lyric across the room. He was wearing a different outfit that, if at all possible, showed more skin.

"Roxas we're docking!" I shouted waving my arms to get his attention, which was to no avail. I huffed and grabbed his arm and tugged at it.

"What the hell?!" He said taking his headphones off and scowling.

"We're docking."

"Finally!" He hopped down from the table. "I've been on this thing way too long." He danced his way to the stairs. "Coming?"

"Yea." I said heading to the stairs. Something was odd about him. The breakup was really getting to him.

Just as we came up the stairs the yacht lurched and stopped. Aqua or "Captain Aqua" hopped off and secured us then we all got off.

"See you guys in a week." Auqa said with a smile and wave.

"Thank you. Have a nice vacation." Dad said handing her a fifty dollar bill.

"Thank you, Sir."

"Let's GO!" Ventus screamed across the beach in a dune buggy with Terra to Aqua.

"Coming!" She yelled back. She waved bye and took off towards them.

"Lively bunch aren't they?" Dad said. "Come on let's get home."

"How? Our drivers just went off into the sunset." Roxas questioned.

"I'm driving." Dad said with a wicked smile.

"You didn't?" Xion, Roxas, and I said.

"Oh yes I did. Let's get going!"

"What?" Cloud asked us as Dad happily marched along.

"You'll see." Roxas said.

We walked along the path with our suitcases till we reached the parking lot where Dad's gray and gold Ford Flex.

"Oh my…" Cloud said under his breath.

"Told you." Roxas said.

"It's not that bad." Cloud tried to justify it. "I've seen a lot worst."

"And a lot better." Roxas said.

"What? What's wrong with Maggie." Dad asked petting the car.

"He named it?" Cloud asked us to which we replied with a sad nod. "Wow."

"What?!"

"Nothing! Nothing." Cloud tried holding back a laugh. "It's just not your style."

"I'll have you know this car is multi purposed."

"Yeah, Get you from little league to chuck E. cheese and back." Roxas said to which Cloud laughed.

"That's not funny." Dad huffed.

"It's a little funny." Cloud chuckled.

"Dad why'd you have to bring the soccer mom-mobile." Roxas whined.

"Oh hush. Put your stuff in the, spacious, trunk."

"Ha, eight kid spacious." Roxas mumbled.

We all put our stuff in the car and climbed in the car. Dad grumble all the way to the house about how well purposed "Maggie" was. We all groaned as we finally got out the car.

"We get it Dad!" Roxas exclaimed as he hopped out the car.

As I stepped at the car into the garage I got the familiar smell of my home. The familiar smell of beach air and citrusy flowers mingling in the air. It was so comforting to be entangled in that smell. Our house sat on a high point with a view of the beach. It wasn't a mansion or anything like that. It was just a well sized home. Dad had talk to us about moving to a bigger house after Mom died, but we all agreed not to. Mom and Dad had built this house together before any of us were born and it wouldn't feel right to move. This house was Roxas, Xion, and my legacy mom had left us. That and her power.

"I'm going to my room." Roxas said as he grabbed his suitcase and headed off into the house.

"Wow! The outside of the house is gorgeous. I wonder how the inside looks." Cloud said looking around at the front yard and garden.

"Let's take walk then, and I'll show you around." Dad said to Cloud to which Cloud responded with a grin and nod.

As I turned back to the car I I saw Xion slip inside the house. I grabbed my suitcase from the trunk and headed to my room. I threw my suitcase in the corner of my room and I fell into the softness and homey feeling of my bed.

I didn't realize how much I'd missed home till that moment. I also didn't realize how much I missed Riku till that moment. I wanted him to be here with me. I wanted to apologize to him and explained to him that I didn't mean what I said or did. I knew I had to call him.

Ring. . .Ring.

I probably didn't want to talk to you, so leave a message.

I hung up and I sighed trying not to take his voicemail personally. I threw my phone to the foot of my bed out of frustration, and it buzzed. I knew either it was sentient or it was Riku calling me back. I quickly picked up to read the text from… Axel?

Hey, Riku can't pick up ur calls right now or answer ur text. if u need to tell him something I can relay.

WHAT!?WHY?! I replied.

He said He can't.

I became extremely frustrated at this and called Axel immediately.

Ring. Ring. Rin-

"Hello?"

"Put him on the phone."

"I don't think he wan-"

"I didn't ask what he wants." I growled.

"He's being scary!" I heard Axel whine from a distance

"Then hang up." Riku replied in the background

"NO! You do it. Your problem you fix it! I don't wanna die."

"He's not going to kill you."

"You didn't hear what I heard."

"Give me that, you big baby."

Click.

He hung up me. I was hurt, upset, and honestly pissed. I called him back, no longer in the mood for these middle schooler games.

"I didn't do it don't hurt me!" Axel answered frightenedly.

"You are very easily scared for someone of your stature, you know that?"

"You and your brother are very intimidating for your stature."

"Then you'd do your best to not piss me off any further."

"See! That's intimidating!"

"Put him on the phone."

"But-"

"I will comeback there.''

"Here he is." Axel said followed by some shuffling.

"You had one job." Riku sighed at Axel. "What?"

"What do you mean 'what'? Why are you ignoring me?"

"Do you remember how you left?"

"Yes…" I shrank in on myself feeling guilty. "I'm sorry." I said after a long pause.

"Don't be sorry. I should have expected this."

"I didn't mean it! You surprised me and I didn't know how to react."

"I guess, but it really hurt."

"I'm so sorry. I'd take it back if I could."

"I just want to know why you did it?"

"Honestly…" I sighed deeply. "I was taken by surprise and I freaked out. I don't know what came over me."

"Is that it?"

"Yeah." I replied. There was a moment of long drawn out silence. I was sitting there on edge when I heard a small chuckle from Riku.

"Here I thought you'd come to your sense and hated me like everyone else."

"I could never hate you. I love you."

There came that long pause again. "Why didn't you just say that."

"I wanted to. I've wanted to for a long time. I was just scared. I wish I could hug you right now. I wish I could have said it to your face."

"You can."

"Huh?"

"You're house is nice."

"You're not? Are you? YOU ARE!" I jumped from my bed and ran down the stairs to the front door and when I swung it open there was Riku smirking just a little more than usual. I ran into him almost knocking him down and wrapped my arms around him. "I love you." I said as I nuzzled my head into his chest.

"I love you too." He said wrapping his arms around me.

"This is real cute." Axel cooed from behind Riku.

"What a surprise! Axel, Riku what are you doing here?" Cloud said as he came around the side of the house with Dad.

"I had some business to handle here and Axel gets lonely easily." Riku said.

"What about Zexion?"

"He didn't want to come. He gets sea sick, besides he want to spend time with Reno anyway." Axel added

"Well come on in boys there is plenty of room for you to stay." Dad said helping Axel with the bags.

"Are you sure we don't want to intrude."

"It's fine. You boys hungry we were just about to sit down for dinner."

"That would be great. Thank you." Axel said as we entered the house.

"What is the racket about?" Roxas said coming down the stairs. "What a surprise." He said sarcastically. "Just can't stay away huh, spikey?" Roxas said with a smirked toward Axel.

" Uh um I just- Uh…. Riku! I came with Riku." Axel stuttered over himself.

"So you don't want to see me?"

"No! Of course I do."

"Of course you do. Follow me!" Roxas said before turning and heading toward his room. Axel quickly followed Roxas up the stairs and to his room. I'd never thought of Axel as the type to be demand or under command, but around my brother he'd become a servant to King Roxas.

"Dinner will be soon, boy's." Dad called after them.

"Let's go to the back yard and wait then, Riku." I said.

"Oh, sure. Should I take my bag somewhere?"

"Don't worry about it I'll take it to your room. Go ahead." Dad said.

I took Riku by the hand and led him to the backyard where there was a bench among some flowers. The sun was setting and it began to feel like a scene from a movie. We sat on the bench and stared out at the garden and then I looked at him. I look at him staring off in the distance with those beautiful cyan blue eyes that seemed to shimmer all the time. His long hair that drooped over him magnificent face and cascaded past his shoulders. He was like a dream. A dream that I could actually touch and be touched by. "I really do love you Riku. I'd never hurt you and I know that's what scares you. I want to be with you and because I love you I'll wait for you forever."

"Sora, I don't want to wait I want to be with you. I've never felt the way you make me feel. I love you. I want to be open to you and I want you to be open with me."

"Do you mean-"

"Sora, will you be my boyfriend?"

"Of course." I threw myself in his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck in a tight hug. I felt his arms wrapped around my lower back. I pulled my head back and looked into those deep cyan eyes that hypnotized me and that sun kissed face that now had little blue bruise on it. "Does it hurt?"I said rubbing his cheek lightly.

"Well you hit pretty hard." He said wincing a bit at my touch.

"I'm sorry." I leaned forward and placed my lips gently on his. He pulled me closer and kissed me. He rubbed the small of my back and I opened my mouth to deepen our kiss. He began to ravish my mouth with his tongue. He pulled away and bit my neck. I could feel him hardening beneath me.

"Sora." He whispered in my ear. "I want you."

I pulled away to look in his eyes. "Are you sure? Last time you left me with serious blue balls."

"Then we've both got something blue and painful from each other." He smirked and bit my collarbone roughly. From the feeling I knew he'd leave a mark. " I'm sure." He said before kissing me.

"Then let's go-"

"SORA! RIKU! DINNER!" Cloud called from the house.

"Later?" He asked with a sigh.

"I wouldn't miss it."

Hehehe... Long time no see huh? SORRY! FORGIVE ME! I MISSED YOU ALL. Well till next time (Which will be soon)...
