Ch. 19

Doremi's p.o.v.

"I wonder what they're talking about?" I asked the girls.

"Akatsuki-san said that its an important matter between him and the boys," Hazuki answered.

"But whats important?" Aiko questioned.

"Who knows?" Onpu shrugged.

"They're taking a long time with their talk!" Momoko exclaimed.

"They're even talking a bit loud as well," Aiko sweat-dropped.

We couldn't make out what they're saying since their voices weren't clear enough but I can tell that their discussion is very serious. Whatever important discussion Akatsuki-kun is having with the boys is definitely gonna take a while. They're all debating something but we don't know what the topic is.

Then, they all came out of the bushes and walked over to us. Their faces were a bit red but Akatsuki-kun's face nearly resembled a tomato's color. I wonder whats wrong with them? I hope they're not catching a fever or anything.

"Are you boys alright?" Hazuki asked them.

"W-We're fine, Hazuki-chan," Fujio answered her.

"Why are your faces red?" Aiko raised her eyebrow.

"J-Just the heat messing with us, thats all!" Leon quickly exclaimed.

"Are you boys hiding something?" Onpu crossed her arms over her chest.

"D-Don't be silly, Onpu-chan! O-Of course not!" Tooru rapidly waved his hands back and forth.

"What were you boys discussing about?" Momoko tilted her head.

"N-Nothing important!" Daichi nearly stuttered.

Akatsuki looked at me and he took a deep breath and then released it. "Doremi-chan, may I tell you something in private, please?"

"Um, sure?" I said with my face filled with confusion.

He grabbed my hand and led me out of the park where the girls are still at the bench with the boys. Where is he gonna take me? And what did he wanna tell me?

The walk lasted for quite a while but we then started climbing up some stairs and I then realized where he was taking me. We managed to climb all the way up there and we then stopped in front of a shrine where the girls and I would usually come and pray during a festival or New Years Eve holiday. I wonder why he brought me here?

"Doremi-chan," I turned my head to see Akatsuki looking at me with a serious look on his face. "I want to tell you something thats very important. Something you must know."

"What is it, Akatsuki-kun?" I asked. "You can tell me anything."

He took a deep breath, released it, and then looked at me again. "Ever since I first met you, I thought that you were a very nice girl who cares for her family and friends. I felt bad when I first tricked you but that was all in the past when I helped you rescue Hana-chan. During the time, we would always see each other again whenever an event comes up that involves the Wizard World and me and the boys would help you and the girls with any situation no matter what. We even met up again when we helped you locate Hana-chan in Paris, France, and you were sad about something but we all managed to help cheer you up and see your real smile again. After we completed our mission, we got to know each other more and I helped you out with the Kotake situation and you also introduced me to your family who really liked me. When I kissed your cheek before I left your home, I felt something in my heart."

"W-What do you mean?" I felt my face turning a bit pink. Is he really gonna say it?

"I felt some sort of thumping in my chest and I thought that it was nerves. However, it wasn't. It was my own heart beating and it does that whenever I think of you or if my emotions relate to you. I also feel really happy that you've showed your true smile and not a fake one. I felt relieved that you didn't like Kotake anymore. My chest would hurt when I see you sad. Something is telling me that I should stay by your side for all eternity and keep you safe from any harm."

"Akatsuki-kun," I whispered. Did he tell me his feelings?

"I was a bit confused on why I felt like this but now I do. I asked my friends and they told me that this weird feeling I had was love. I didn't know what they meant until it hit me. I would always feel weird whenever I'm around you and my heart would beat rapidly when I'm near you. Doremi-chan, do you get what I'm saying?"

"A-Are you…?" I trailed off.

"Doremi-chan, I am in love with you! I now realized that I've fallen in love with you ever since we first met and became close with each other. You were always by my side and you'd never betray me at all. You always thought about others instead of yourself and you would always lend a helping hand no matter what. Your kind heart is what made me love you, Doremi-chan. No matter what situation we're in, you always stay positive to yourself and encourage everyone to keep on going."

I felt my breath hitched as he finished his words. D-Did he just say what I think he said? He was in love with me ever since we were young? If his words are true, then what should I do? I first gave up love after being rejected by Kotake, but it suddenly came back to me when Akatsuki-kun returned. I've always liked Akatsuki-kun when we were young but I never told him about my feelings so I kept them hidden. Was my crush for him actually love?

"Doremi-chan, I know that you're shocked about it but what I said is true. I really do love you and I know that you already suffered one heartbreak and just got healed but my feelings for you are real. I truly do love you and I understand that you're confused and probably don't want to fall in love again. Its your choice, Doremi-chan. I'm not forcing you at all to make a decision. If you wanna accept them, then that'll make me really happy. If you don't, then thats okay. The only thing I care about is your happiness."

"A-Akatsuki-kun," I suddenly felt myself shaking and tears started streaming down my cheeks.

"Oh no. I'm so sorry for making you cry, Doremi-chan! I didn't mean to-

His words were cut off as I suddenly launched myself at him and engulfed him in a hug as I covered my face on his chest and started sobbing. He nearly went stiff but relaxed and hugged me back while comforting me. Never in my life has a boy ever said those truthful words to me and he really meant it. Akatsuki-kun truly does love me and I don't know why but my heart also started to beat when he kissed my cheek. I actually do love him.

I felt his heart beating against his chest as my ears listened to it. His heart does beat a lot whenever I'm near him and his hugs are so warm. Maybe there is a chance for me to fall in love again since I'm now with the right guy. I wiped my tears away and looked up at him.

"Akatsuki-kun, do you really meant what you just said?" I asked him.

"Yes, Doremi-chan. Every word I say is true. I do love you and my heart can never stop loving you," Akatsuki answered me.

"Then can I do this?"

Without waiting for a reply, I stood on my tiptoes and pressed my lips against his with my eyes closed. He must've been a bit shocked at what I did but he then kissed me back while holding me by my waist. My hands were on his shoulders and his arms were wrapped around me. The kiss lasted for about a minute and we both pulled away with our faces red.

"Does that mean you feel the same way about me, Doremi-chan?" Akatsuki blushed.

"Yes, Akatsuki-kun. I feel the same way about you," I smiled at him. "I also love you."

"Thank you, Doremi-chan," he hugged me. "Thank you for accepting my feelings."

"You're welcome, Akatsuki-kun," I hugged him back.

"Doremi-chan, will you wait for me?"

"Of course I will!"

"I don't want you to suffer from a long distance relationship since the boys and I have to go back to the Wizard World and continue our studies at the country side."

"Don't worry, Akatsuki-kun. I'll still wait for you. I know that you have to help Hikaru in becoming the king of the Wizard World and thats okay. As long as we still love each other, nothing would break us apart."

"You're truly a sweet girl, Doremi-chan. I'm glad that I told you my feelings instead of hiding them."

"Me too, Akatsuki-kun. Me too."

"I promise you that I would never hurt you and be good to you no matter what!"

"I'll do the same as well for you!"

We looked at each other again and then kissed. The kiss only lasted for a few seconds as we heard loud cheering. We quickly pulled away and looked over to see our friends happily clapping for us. Where did they came from and did they saw the whole thing!?

"You did it, Doremi-chan!"

"Way to go!"

"You managed to find true happiness!"

"You're now with your man!"

"Good job, Akatsuki-kun!"

"Nice one, Akatsuki!"

"You did it!"

"Awesome job!"

"M-Minna, you saw the whole thing?!" I nearly squeaked as my face was heating up.

"We sure did! We wanted to be the first ones to witness you two getting together!" Onpu winked at me.

"While you two were going to the temple, we decided to secretly follow you since we had a feeling that Akatsuki was gonna confess to you," Tooru smirked.

"Now that you two are together, you won't have to worry about anything anymore! We're gonna keep on rooting for you two!" Aiko fist pumped.

"We'll also make sure that Akatsuki doesn't act like a lovesick puppy while he's away from you," Leon laughed.

"H-Hey!" Akatsuki felt his face heating up.

"We also have something to say as well," Hazuki felt her cheeks turning pink.

"We're now dating the FLAT 4!" Momoko happily clapped her hands in excitement while jumping up and down.

"T-They also confessed!?" I yelled in shock.

"Correct. Like Akatsuki, we also had feelings for the girls," Fujio smiled at Hazuki who blushed.

"So we confessed and they accepted our feelings!" Daichi happily grinned.

"Congratulations, girls!" I happily exclaimed.

"Great job, boys!" Akatsuki chuckled.

"Thanks!" they replied and hugged my friends. Awww, how cute!

As I smiled at their cute moment, I nearly yelped as I felt someone lift me up. I looked over and was surprised to see that Akatsuki was the one who picked me up. I felt my face turning red because I feel like some sort of princess being carried by a handsome prince, which makes me the princess and Akatsuki being a handsome prince.

"I love you, Doremi-chan," he gave me his princely smile.

"I love you too, Akatsuki-kun," I blushed while smiling at him.

He gave me a kiss and I slowly kissed him back while wrapping my arms around his neck. It looks like there is still hope for me. Love does exist and it happened because I managed to find the right guy who healed my heart and helped me get over my heartbreak. I'm definitely the luckiest prettiest girl in the world!
