10. Maraud and Embezzle and even Highjack.

Neither Roxas nor Vanitas saw me coming. I slashed my blade down on Vanitas' chest, attacking him viciously. Vanitas reeled back in surprise, barely blocking my sword.

"Hold it!" Jack Sparrow waved his hands about. Vanitas and I stopped cold. "So you're goin' to attack him," he points to Vanitas. "Because he killed him," he points to Sora's corpse, "Even though you can't kill him? And you," he points to Roxas, "are doing the same?"

Roxas and I looked at each other and shrugged. "Yeah," we both agreed.

Jack furrowed his eyebrows, "Alright, carry on. Now, if you excuse, before you continue killing each other, I'd like me compass back, savvy?" He held out his hand expectantly.

I reached into my pocket to pull out the compass, "Don't even think about trying to go anywhere, Jack."

He turned around with compass in hand, but Axel was blocking the exit. He turned back around drunkenly. "Well then, might as well enjoy the show."

Roxas, Vanitas and I resumed our fighting. Roxas attacked from behind, and I attacked from the front. Vanitas knocked me out from under my feet, while slamming Roxas against the wall.

"Roxas!" Naminé cried out, rushing to his aid. Axel helped me stand up, even though my strength was draining fast.

Vanitas laughed darkly, "You're so pathetic, the four of you. One of you questioned your loyalty to your captain, one of you abandoned your only child, one of you couldn't take your love being murdered in front of you, and you," he pointed his cutlass at Roxas, "saw your only brother killed."

Roxas groaned in pain, "No, I'm not pathetic Vanitas, you are. You gave up a peaceful life for piracy, and I've been struggling for years to do the same. I stayed for Sora's sake, 'cause he was all I have left."

Naminé stood in the way of Vanitas' blade, "You can call us pathetic, but I'm not the one who was cowardly enough to go looking for immortality. We don't fear death like ye. What do you have to live for?"

Vanitas disregarded Naminé's words and turn to me and Axel, "You can't kill me to avenge Sora, Captain. It's time for your turn to go to the Locker." He raised his blade high, ready to strike me down. There was no Sora to save me again. I closed my eyes again.

"Sora…" I never felt the blade. I heard a large thud and opened my eyes. Vanitas' eyes went to the back of his head and he collapsed to the ground. Sora was standing there, a wooden plank in his hands.

Sora was breathing.

Sora knocked out Vanitas.

Sora was supposed to be dead.

My jaw dropped. Axel gaped at the brown haired man who is in fact, alive, "You're supposed to be dead!" he exclaimed.

Sora lifted one hand to examine where his heart is, "Am I not?" Sora leaned down to grab something out of Vanitas' pocket. He pulled out the key and tossed it to me. I caught it in my hand and put it around my neck. He looked at me in concern. "Well? Kairi? Say something,"

I only stared, "I don't know what to say!"

Vanitas had already started to recover; Sora kicking his sword out of reach. Vanitas got up dazed. He stared at Sora wide-eyed. "You-But-How in the blazes did you survive?!" he asked in surprise.

Sora pulled out a medallion from his pocket, flipping it in the air and catching it, "What? You're not the only one who took from the chest."

I threw up my hands, "How did you steal one?!"

"When everyone wasn't looking of course. Riku came up with the plan," Sora gave a dumb smile and a thumb up to Riku.

Riku nodded in agreement, "It was the only way to get an advantage over Vanitas."

Jack looked at everyone suspiciously, "Welp, it's not this hasn't happened before."

I really wanted to smack both Sora and Riku upside the head, but now was not the time. Sora grabbed my sword and turned to Vanitas. "Your turn to pay," Sora muttered darkly.

Vanitas back-flipped to his sword, and was ready to fight. "Come at me, you pathetic landlubber."

"I'm not the one who is pathetic, Captain," Sora spat.

The two dueled, Sora being clumsy in his movements, but I can tell he's been watching how I've been fighting. Riku double teamed Vanitas. Riku was no master either, but two against one made the odds in their favor.

"So what now, Sora, we be two immortals locked in an eternal battle until judgment day and the trumpets sound?" Vanitas questioned.

"Or you could surrender," Sora suggested. Vanitas kicked Sora as a result, "Welp, it didn't hurt to ask."

Riku had snuck away from the battle to only slam Vanitas to the ground from behind. Riku kept him down while searched for Vanitas' medallion and cut Vanitas' hand, getting blood all over it. Sora proceeded to cut his own hand to bloody up his own medallion. Naminé rushed over to the chest and Sora chucked the medallions at her. She caught them and dropped them into the chest.

Both of them were mortal again. Vanitas was too weak to get up, but Sora had the sword ready to kill Vanitas.

I was not about to let Sora stoop to Vanitas or my level, "Stop!" I cried out. Sora froze in place, hands still tightly gripping the handle. I stood up shakily. I stumbled over to Sora, taking back my sword. "I'll do it, Sora. Vanitas was the one to cause me the most pain and trouble."

Sora nodded in understanding. I kicked Vanitas over so he would face me. The tip of my cutlass was pointed right at my throat. My voice of reason had returned to me. If I won't let Sora kill, then why should I bloody up my own hands? He was right, I am better than that.

"Don't you hesitate," Vanitas growled. "Finish me now."

I stared at his golden eyes, shaking my head. "Once before, I would've killed you without hesitating, but now…" I looked around to see my loyal followers. "A good pirate doesn't necessarily kill all the time, and besides, traitor or not, you're still related to Sora and Roxas, and I highly doubt they'll like me killing their uncle. Seize him."

Axel and Riku grabbed Vanitas by the arms. "You bloody pirate!" Vanitas shouted.

"Take him to my ship," I walked away, Naminé towing Roxas, and Sora dogging my steps.

Maraud and Embezzle and even Highjack~

When I got back to my ship, the crew along with Mr. Gibbs was having rum.

Jack frowned, "Where did all this rum come from?!"

"The Black Pearl, Sir," Mr. Gibbs said casually, holding out a never opened bottle of rum. Jack accepted it without any more questions.

I rolled my eyes and turned to Axel and Riku holding Vanitas, "Lock him in the brig."

"Oh yeah, we took care of Vanitas' crew while you were out," Gibbs announced. "Most of them surrendered to the Pearl and the Hour."

Axel and Riku came up to the top deck.

I tilted my head, "but then who will take the Unversed Heart?"

Axel raised his hand, "Since me ship was blown to bits, I believe I'll take over."

I nodded, "Good, you're goin' to need a crew."

Riku and Sora walked over to me. I looked from one to the other before smacking them both upside the head, "What were you two thinking?! I thought you were a traitor and you were dead!" I pointed my finger accusingly at them.

Both of them recovered while rubbing their faces, "I think we deserved that," Sora stated.

"You think?" Riku replied sarcastically.

"Don't you dare try to pull that type of stunt again!" I exclaimed, hugging Sora. "I really thought you were gone."

"I'm not going anywhere, Kairi. Not for a very long time," Sora whispered in my ear.

"Alright, when you two are done being lovey-dovey, we have a problem," Riku said sarcastically.

We broke apart. What is with everyone and interrupting our moment? "What is it?"

Naminé pointed to the stern, "There are two ships approaching us in different directions, Captain."

"Seriously?" I groaned and took out my telescope to examine the ship from the west. The ship was extremely familiar. As it got closer, I knew what it was. "It's the Graceful Assassination. Uncle Marluxia!" I squealed with joy.

Axel paled, "Oh no…Well, I guess this is my que to go an' claim my ship as Captain. I shall rebrand it as the Eighth Flame II." He high tailed off my ship, swimming towards the now Eighth Flame II. I shook my head.

"Old habits die hard," I mutter. "It'll be great to see Marluxia again."

"Indeed," agreed Naminé.

I used my telescope to identify the ship coming from the east, and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"Who is it?"

My eye twitched, "The King's Guardian. The captain is a teenager who is pretty much a man child. He owes me money. He cheated me at Liar's Dice!" I grumbled.

Jack Sparrow got up, "He owes me money too!"

"That's a first," Riku pointed out.

"Can I see who it is?" Sora asked me. I handed him my telescope, and he peered through it. "Who the heck has white hair?!"

"Ahem," Riku pointed to his own head of silver hair.

"You're an adult, and that's silver hair Riku. This guy is a white haired teenager! What the bloody hell?!" Sora ranted. I snatched the telescope away.

"No more spying for you. How am I going to scare him off?"

"Ah, every time we see his ship, he changes direction swiftly," Mr. Gibbs informs me. I smirk as I climb onto the ropes. The King's Guardian was close enough to hear me.

"Hey, the Black Pearl is right next us!" I shouted. The white haired captain's eyes widened. He muttered a curse and started shouting orders to his crew to turn around.

I jump back down to the deck, wiping my hands off, "Problem solved."

"Orders, Captain?" Naminé asked.

"Prepare for our visitors. Captain Marluxia will want a drink. See if you can find any rum that Jack and Gibbs haven't found," I ordered.

"Aye, aye, Captain," Naminé answered with a smile.

"Sora," I say before he can go help, "Come here."

He hung his head as he walked over, "I'm sorry again Kairi for the pain I put you through but I'm proud of you for-" I cut him off, kissing him passionately. He placed his hands on my back, pressing me up against him. I pull away breathlessly. He chuckled, "You did the right thing Kairi."

"For what? Sparing a heartless man a favor, driving away the man-child, or kissing you?" I asked, running my fingers through his messy hair.

"All of the above," he said. "I love you Kairi,"

"I love you too, Sora," I said with the most sincere smile. I look behind him to see Naminé and Roxas making out on a barrel. "Hey!" I called out to them, "No public displays of affection!"

"Oh, shut your mouth, Kairi!" Naminé broke away from Roxas enough to shout back at me. I smirk.

Sora ran his finger over the key that now hung around my neck, "So, how does it feel like to have your soul back again?"

"Like I have the will to live again; I'm a free woman," I answer. Sora laughed and handed me back my map.

"You'll need this as well, Captain," he explained. I slip the map in my pocket. I lean in to kiss Sora again but was interrupted by Naminé.

Darn it Naminé, you ruined the moment. "Hey guys, did you know there's a song about us pirates? Roxas just told me."

Roxas chuckled, "Sora and I used to sing it all the time."

"You mean you sang it all the time, my voice sounded like a bunch frightened chickens compared to yours," Sora grunted.

Oh? There is a song pirates? Interesting. "Tell us how the song goes, the both of you," I commanded.

Sora sighed, "It went like this. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me," he sang.

"We pillage plunder, we rifle and loot," Roxas continued.

"Drink up me 'earties, yo ho,"

"We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,"

"Drink up me 'earties, yo ho!" Naminé joined in.

"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me,"

"We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack. Drink up me 'earties, yo ho," Roxas took Naminé's hand into his and spun her around.

"Maraud and embezzle and even highjack. Drink up me 'earties, yo ho," Sora started dancing with me as well. I laughed as he lifted me in the air.

"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!" I sing along, the entire crew watching at me oddly. But I didn't care. It truly was a pirate's life for me.

The End.

What? Did you honestly think I'd really kill Sora off? Shame on you. I love Sora too much to get rid of him. Where would we be without that lovable idiot?
