I wrote another one-shot! One-shots are nice because I don't have to worry about updating them. I can just post them and then be done with them.

Waiting for him, it felt like forever.

Riku had been out saving the world. I understood that. I guess I just felt lonely. He wasn't here to hold or cuddle. I didn't get my good morning kisses at school anymore. I didn't get those notes asking me to sneak out of class anymore. We didn't go skinny dipping out on the beach late at night anymore. All because he was gone. He wasn't here. And sometimes, I feared he might never return.

Of course, those thoughts were silly. Riku could take care of himself just fine. He would, along with Sora, defeat the darkness that plagued the worlds. And then, he would returns back to me and we could be together again.

I was sitting out on the beach when a beam of light shone. It flickered for a moment before being replaced with Kairi, Donald, Goofy, and King Mickey. They smiled happily. But where were Riku and Sora?

"Sora!" I heard Kairi yell. I looked to see both of the boys out in the water, attempting to run back to shore.

I saw Riku. He was different. After not seeing him for a year, the changes were great. He had long, silver hair that anyone would want to run their fingers through. He had grown in height and developed some rather impressive muscles.

Riku ran towards the shore, picking up King Mickey and giving him a hug before he got here. He looked at Kairi and Sora before looking around. His eyes quickly fell on me. He smiled at me and started running. I took off too.

I ran as fast as my legs could take me and stopped the moment I was in his arms. Riku picked me up and gave a long, warm hug. He picked me off the ground and allowed me to hold him. His arms were tight, almost as if he wouldn't ever let go again.

He eventually put me back onto the ground. His arms never left me. I brought my hand from around his neck down to his face, feeling his pale cheeks. His hair was thick over his face and his eyes were almost covered. I brushed a few strands so I could effectively see his eyes.

Riku smiled at me and his eyes felt like they gazing deep into my soul. We put our foreheads together and enjoyed this quiet moment to ourselves. It was just him and me.
