Hello everyone! So this is a point where everything changes. You'll understand more once you read the end message. I DO NOT OWN Hakuouki.

(Haro's POV, in a distant dimension) Each corner brought up another vision. And it was starting to hurt my head, like a giant wave just smashing me down. They were memories from a different life; it was easy to distinguish because nothing in those visions had anything related to my royal or soul reaper past. They were all about children in this used-to-be hide away. I was growing anxious. I really wanted to get out of this place I felt something like a dark cloud starting to rise over Soul city this moment. Now it was almost pitch black I had to feel everything to avoid tripping or even running into a lone standing pillar, though half thinking and walking I tripped over some stones and fell forward. And for some reason the position seemed familiar. Then that feeling came again, the feeling like it's at the back of my head almost in grasp. For a couples minutes lying flat on the ground a burst of memory flashed through my mind.

'Uffh!" a girl around the age of 12 fell, deeps cuts in her body and arms as the look of awareness and fear showed in her eyes. Slowly she reached out as another figure appeared behind her with a rather large and dangerous looking weapon. "There's no where you can escape to." The man said grimly. The little girl clawed for ground to pull herself farther but the evil man was only 4 yards away. The girl gasped loudly "I will never stay here! The others are waiting for me!" she managed to yell, desperate for getting away. But her escape was failing as the man was already a foot away in front of her. Chuckling darkly he swung his weapon down as the girl screamed. As quickly as it happened the screaming stopped. The girl was already dead.'

Gasping for air as if being stuck under water for too long my eyes opened as fast as lighting. I nearly jump off the ground as I was on all fours looking into blackness. Taking deep breaths I calmed myself down as I leaned against a pillar. The vision replayed again, and now it was being played a second time, I recognized that the little girl was me. Then the memory of Ichiro a past friend suddenly showed itself as that time of life clicked into place. Everything of that life time was revealed. Experiments were escaping which was what the younger me was referring to. They were all human, except me. I was the only one who wasn't a human. From the very beginning of the horrible tests I was the only one who was a powerful being, a young born goddess. Through years of injecting poisons, 'training', and being resurrected the ones who were once humans became like me; a powerful being. Sadly they were all going to die anyways. We were all used to make one single man powerful than the gods. And he was the man that is still alive and after me. That man is the most evil one I know. He had hurt thousands of innocent humans turned them into half gods and killed them. While for me I was the ultimate one to use after the others had died.

So with the ones that were still alive, I helped set them free but at the cost of my own freedom. That evil man is the one who is in Soul city. With all of my ability I imagine Soul city with me in Caelica. Then the ground underneath me shifted as I tightly close my eyes against the 30 mph wind. Without warning the movement suddenly stops almost making me fall forward. I observe my surroundings to see that I've return back to my room. I run out the door following the large amount of spiritual pressure in Sadao's meeting room. The door was already opened. Inside I see everyone but they don't look at me when I call out to them. Walking closer I see that they're looking outside and their eyes are glowing light green. All of them were under a spell. Before trying to make them snap out of the spell Kiya appeared by the door. She looked sad but she stood tall holding her hands in front. "Kiya! Thank goodness you're not under the spell, please help me. I need you to make a barrier to keep any evil aura out." I say, she doesn't move to help me; she just stands there in the same spot looking at me. "Kiya?" I call but she doesn't reply. I squint, looking I can tell that her eyes are not glowing. "Kiya!" I yelled, but again she didn't do anything. Feeling numb I have a bad feeling in my gut. "Kiya." I whisper. I take step towards her but she vanishes into air before I could do anything else. Looking up I narrowed my eyes, forming a barrier around Caelica. When I look back to the captains both the Shinsengumi and the captains of Soul city were gone.

Fear and confusion fused in my mind as I began to panic. "Heisuke! Sadao! Anyone?!" I hollered. Only a quiet echo replied. Falling to my knees questions pour into my head.

'Where are they? What happened to them? What's wrong with Kiya?'

I only turned around for a minute. Then the whole scene changed into a living nightmare. Caelica has crumbled looking similar to the ruins. Everything seemed to have died, and the skies were dark with smoke-like clouds. It looked like famine and storms raged through Soul city for decades nonstop. An uneasy feeling settles in my gut as I knew that the creature that was after may be closer than ever before. And I was right.

"It's been a very long while. Haro."

An awful low voice sounds just behind me. I turn around slowly to see a beast twice my size. Its arms fell to its feet, it was hunched over and a large ragged black cloak covered its body leaving the terrible scarred and rotting face visible. 'oh. my. GOD!' I holler in my head. The beast gave a sickening smile revealing that his teeth are sharp and long.

"Now how is my little apprentice doing?"

It growled. Well not really 'growl', he just had a low growling sound in the back of his throat as he spoke. Snapping out of my frozen state I shot back,

"Don't call me that! I was never your apprentice. You stole me from my family and killed them. You only used to get become powerful!" I hissed glaring death at him.

He gave out a chuckle that sounded musty. "You must have mixed up a life time with another." He said, starting to walk around me in a circle. I kept my eye on him; I knew that I didn't mix up the story. I may have been reborn 3 times or so, but being controlled by a crazy, out-of-control, and evil man like him will never be mistaken.

"No, you came after me again after I tried to escape from you in my previous life. I was a soul reaper. And you managed to murder me again."

I paused, an odd feeling of gaining something lifted up a portion of the weight I felt. "I remember now, I was almost done tearing you to shreds, but you casted a spell to let you run away. Though at a great cost." I continue looking straight into his dark green blood shot eyes.

"It turned you into that thing."

I spat in disgust. He knew what I was talking about as he stopped walking and looked at my weapons. "Do you plan to kill me now?" Resting my hand on the hilt I only continued to glare. He laughed, "That is why I came after you. You are different, more powerful, and swifter. You are a rare and ultimate treasure. You are worth more gold that can ever exist, more royal than any monarchy. Not to mention you have the experience of war and fighting." He says as if he's talking about his daughter like she's the queen of the galaxy. But the thing is, the worth I am cost me greatly as well. I had never experienced love and kindness for long. I had never spent time with family, unless it's trying to kill each other. I had been through so much, it's typical of him to push away the down sides and move forward, even though things are at its limit. The only good thing about it is that I can finally kill him. I can end the pain he causes to me and to the others whose souls are still uneasy because of him. After that then I can truly do whatever I want. I can love, I can have fun, and I can do so many things that weren't in my access.

In one motion I take out my twin blades, ready for battle. I wait as he straightens; he's almost as tall as a full grown tree. Towering over me I take a step back before sprinting like lighting. Making a slash to his long arm he whipped around. In a blink of an eye his arms fly by almost hitting me down. Landing on the nearest tree I could almost laugh at myself. 'Why don't I just cast a spell to keep him in place?' I smacked my forehead.

Immediately I begin chanting as he comes my way. And of course the spells bound him in place. I then summon a larger sword. I put another spell on it before running the sword through his head. He screeched in pain as his body eventually turns to mist.

"What a fool. You haven't even realized that I had far surpassed you."

I say to no one in particular. I turn around, nothing had changed. But he is gone. The same dark clouds and crumbled rubble still lay in place. I can still sense their being. But they've been transported out of this world. I don't think the place will stay the same, because soon enough I see some rubble floating back into place. I could already guess that the soul reapers would return. They had been in this world first before the Shinsengumi and I, also the fact that I can now sense that their soul is returning. I look at the rebuilding of Caelica, it is almost finished rebuilding itself. 'Thank you Sadao. I'll have to leave now, maybe forever this time. But I'll always remember you.' I thought, then I sent the message to him when he has fully regain his soul back. Now I'll have to travel through worlds to find the Shinsengumi. I am just glad to know that their soul and body are safe. Though I haven't really had experience with using the portal to take me to hundreds or thousands of worlds, I won't give up until I find all of the Shinsengumi captains. I look back one last time at Soul city before disappearing into air.

So I'll end this fanfiction in Hakuouki. I'm making it so that she ends up in the YU-Gi-Oh world next in search of the Shinsengumi captains. I do not know that much of Yu-Gi-Oh but Yu-Gi-Oh fans can always correct me. I'm going to call it 'The Search'. Then I'll probably call the next fanfiction 'The Search 2'.
