A/N: I have neglected this story and for that I apologize. This is the final chapter. Sadly enough, it took me until now to write it and post it. This measly little thing. I just needed to post it so that it could finally have a conclusion of the sorts.

The moment Rick stepped foot in C Block, he felt as though all eyes landed on him. Everyone was looking to him for an answer. But it was ultimately Tyreese who had taken the time to explain to the hysterical woman what had happened. The entire cellblock fell eerily silent as Tyreese tried to keep the story strictly between the woman and himself but it was easily overheard. How the two children were found. How they were torn apart by walkers.

The helpless woman's cry reverberated through the block.

"I should have been here," Rick muttered under his breath, running a hand through his hair. He lowered his gaze to the floor just as a hand landed on his shoulder.

"Don't put this all on you. You did what you had to do. To help Daryl."

He nodded at Michonne's words but he still felt a wave of guilt. He looked around at all the people he had brought in from Woodbury. They all seemed distraught to some degree but almost like they had an understanding. They had lost people before too. They knew this could happen regardless of where they were taking shelter.

"Yeah… I guess so."

It was later that night after the arrangements had been made. The children—Sarah and Billy—had been buried among the others and the walker corpses were burned. Everyone had pitched in a helping hand and it was a relief once it was all finally over.

Rick sat in the chair beside Daryl's bed. The cellblock was quiet except for a few muted conversations among the group. They never strayed too far.

"M'not movin' back into C Block. Gonna stay put," Daryl's voice broke the silence.

Rick nodded. "I know. I think we've all known that for a while now."

Of course, Rick had also been doing some thinking. Since Daryl had fallen ill, the group worked together to do everything they could to help. Because they were family. In the end, that was all that mattered.

"We're all moving in here with you. I figured we could all take D Block and Woodbury can just stay in C. Of course there's some work that'll need done to get this place a bit more cleaned up, but it'll be worth it."

"You sure 'bout that? Stayin' here?" Daryl questioned.

"We'll need all the breathing room we can get. And we wouldn't want you to feel too lonely." Carol popped into the doorway with a small smile.

Rick smiled too. He looked back at Daryl. "You feeling okay? You look better."

"Yeah. A lot better, actually."

There was a slight wail that filled the cellblock and Judith's cries grew louder as Beth walked toward the cell, the baby bundled in her arms. Carol stepped back to allow Beth entry.

"I think she wants her daddy. I just fed her but she won't stop cryin'." Beth forced a smile just as Rick got back to his feet. She passed Judith off to him and he pulled his daughter against his chest. Judith's cries almost immediately dropped a notch in volume.

Rick couldn't remember a time when Judith didn't cry in his arms. Now she was starting to calm down.

With Daryl on the mend and being surrounded by all these people who truly cared for one another, who felt like family—who were family—things were starting to look up. And for the first time in a long time, everything was going to be okay.
