I got call from Maka four days later.
Patty was doing good. They expected that she'd be able to go home soon. I was relieved. It scared me to death, knowing Patty had been in an accident. I hated not being there, but it's my fault anyway. I'm the one that left when I found out I was pregnant. I now regret that choice. But I still think it was a good decision for my babies.
"Where the hell did I put those binkies?" I muttered to myself as I looked around the living room.
I was trying to get things packed, so I could take the triplet out for a walk. But so far it wasn't working. The three of them were all buckled up into their stroller. I somehow found one that was able to hold three car seats. Which I was thankful for.
When I finally found the binkies, they were in a drawer. Which I don't even know how they got there. I sighed. I put them in a pocket of the diaper bag.
"Okay, you three, time to load you up and go for a walk!"
Fallon was the only one awake but he only blinked. I laughed.
As I put them in the stroller, my phone started to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked to see who it was but I didn't know the number. I answered.
"Hello?"
"Sis!"
I got a smile on my face, when I realized it was Patty.
"How are you?" I asked with concern.
"I'm good. The doctors are pretty sure I'll be going home tonight. I feel sore and stuff but otherwise I feel good." She replied.
"That's good to hear. I'm so happy to hear you're okay I was so worried."
She laughed a little, "No need to worry."
"You're my sister. Of course I'm going to worry. But hey I was about to go for a walk with the triplets. Call me later?"
"Okay. I will. If I'm not around Kid."
"Love you Patty."
"Love you too, Liz."
We hung up.
I started out of the house with the triplets. I hadn't really explored the town much before now. I always wanted too but I was always tired and just didn't feel like doing it while I was pregnant. People didn't really pay attention to me. Which I was thankful for. I didn't really like talking to strangers. The triplets ended up falling asleep pretty quickly. Which was nice. I was enjoying the time out of the house with them.
"Excuse me miss?"
I looked around and saw a guy standing a little bit away from me. He was holding something and I realized it was my phone.
"Is this yours?" he asked.
"Yes, it is. Thank you for picking it up for me."
He smiled and handed me my phone back.
"Are you new to this town? I don't believe I've seen you here before."
I laughed a little, "No, I've been here for a few months I was just very pregnant with my triplets here. So, I just really wasn't able to go many places."
He looked at my hands and then smiled, "My name is Garson."
"My name is Elizabeth but all my friends call me Liz."
"Well, Liz would you like to go out sometime?"
I was a little shocked.
"I'm sorry?"
"Would you like to go out on a date with me sometime?"
"We just met. Plus their father just died, like a week before they were born."
He kind of stumbled of his words. He didn't even mange to get anything out and kind of just waved and walked away.
I laughed a little, even though I felt bad about lying. I continued on our walk. Everything in this town was beautiful. I absolutely loved it. I wish I would've gone out for a walk before. It was about another ten minutes before I decided to turn around and go home.
When I finally got home, the triplets all needed diaper changes and fed. I got them done as fast as could. Which through all of it, they were crying.
Once they were changed and fed, the three of them fell asleep. I smiled as I watched them sleep. They were my whole world now. They were all that I needed now. Even though it may be hard being away from all my friends and sister, it was worth it, to give my babies the live they deserved. They may only be six days old but I already loved them so much. I fell in love with them the first time I had an ultrasound. I loved my little family. The four of us would do just fine on our own. All three of them smiled in their sleep. I laughed a little and decided that I might as well take a little nap myself. I smiled as I got a pillow and blanket. Things were changing and for the better.
*Two Hours later*
I was having a hard time trying to write a letter to Kid. Finally made my mind up after I woke up twenty minutes into my nap. I had a horrible dream. I shivered just thinking about it. I figured Kid deserved some type of reason/explanation as to why I left. He kept emailing me. Half the time the emails only said 'why?' over and over again. I sighed once again. Writing this wasn't easy. I just didn't know how to tell him.
Dear Kid,
I know you have no clue as to why I left. But that's why I'm writing this. I want you to know why. You see I was happy with you. You never did anything to make me think otherwise. I know I should have written you sooner, but I just couldn't. I didn't think you would want to stick around after you found, before I left. Kid, I still love you. That's one of the main reasons, I'm writing this. You also deserve an explain. Thinking about what I did, makes me feel horrible. I realized I never gave you chance, just because you said you never wanted kids. That all kids were pains in the asses. I thought that meant if I ever did fall pregnant, you'd freak and tell me to abort the baby. Well the reason I left was because I got pregnant. I hadn't been taking my birth control because it was making me sick and I didn't want to go to the doctors to find out why. Instead of telling you about that, I just let you assume I was still on birth control. I feel horrible about not telling you now. But because of not telling you I got a wonderful new experience. And that would be, becoming a mother. So, this is the part where I tell you that you have not one but three kids. One girl and two boys. They are the absolute best. Esmeralda Valentina is our daughter. She looks like me, when I was a baby. I have a feeling she'll look a lot like me when she grows up more. But she doesn't have any stripes in her hair like you. Roman Wolfric is our first son. He looks a lot like you. He has a lot of hair and already has the three stipes like you do. Our second son is Fallon Remo. He has my hair but your eyes. He has one stripe. I'll be coming back to Death City, in a few years. Once the triplets are easier to travel with. But for now, I won't tell you where I am. But I'll send pictures of them and updates. I'll send everything there is to know about them, right now. That is if you even want me too. It'll all come through the mail. I hope you understand my reasons better now.
Love,
Liz.
I finally finished my letter. I had tears down my face as I mailed. I didn't put a return address on it. I won't put a return address on any of them, until I sent the last one. Which would be right before I left for Death City.
I went to bed that night with a smile on my face. Everything was turning out alright.
-The end-
