ME NO OWN FAIRY TAIL

Girl to Guy

"… I remember… everything…"

Right when she said that, everything froze. The expression of excitement on Grace's face, the surprise on Luke's and Erza's, and the hope and happiness on Shiro's all froze the instant they formed. Natsumi's wide eyed expression was also frozen in time, the only things not being Erza, Happy, Lucy, and Gray.

"Well, well, well," said a voice behind them they really loathed, making them jump up and whirl around to face Vincent as he slowly clapped his hands with a smirk they really just wanted to wipe off his face. "You completed all three games without losing any of them. I must say, that is a feat in itself." he said as he sat down in one of the diner's chairs, taking a vanilla milkshake out of a frozen customer's hands and taking a drink of it out of the straw. "Natsumi now has her memories back, she will go back to her job as a waitress and cook at Fairy Tail, go back to school along with raising her younger brother. Her life is back to normal, but there is one thing that she will contemplate till the day she dies: who were those three strangers that claim to be friends only to disappear with a blink of an eye?" He snapped his fingers as if gaining a point. "But she'll never know. Not that that matters." he added with a one shouldered shrug, taking a long drink from the milkshake.

"Take us back and give Natsu back to us!" Lucy shouted, standing up instantly from her chair, her hands coiled into fist by her side as her form shook with anger. Vincent raised an eyebrow at her as he continued to drink the milkshake. A few seconds later, the glass was empty and Vincent set it back in the customer's hands.

"Well, that certainty isn't a nice way to ask." he commented casually as he crossed his legs, looking like he could sit there all day without a care.

"We've played your games, just give him back!" Erza shouted, Vincent sighing.

"Oh, alright." He snapped his fingers and they were suddenly standing back in the ball room in their dresses and suits. Everyone was gone expect for them since they all fled at the sight of Vincent the first time. "You know, if you guys would've lost I wouldn't have mind keeping her instead of killing her." Vincent said from where he was sitting on the edge of the viewing balcony with his legs crossed. Natsu sat behind him still tied up to the chair and seeming to be unconscious. "But too bad for that. Well, goodbye~!" and with another snap of his fingers, Vincent was gone.

Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Happy wasted no time as they rushed up to the balcony towards Natsu.

"Natsu!" Lucy shouted when she caught sight of her. Natsu groaned as they approached, finally waking up as Gray, Erza, and Lucy rushed towards her, her restraints opened so she was no longer restricted to the chair. Happy pulled away the blindfold just as Natsu blinked open her eyes, her vision blurry.

"What—what's going on?" she asked foggily as she peered up into the concerned faces of her friends. "You guys all look like you've seen a ghost." she commented, suddenly looking like she was in despair. "That's no fair! I want to see a ghost, too, you know!" She jumped out of the chair and gripped Lucy by the shoulders, putting her face in her personal bubble. "What did it look like? Did it float? Was it all 'boo, imma eat your souls!' or was it more chill and like, 'go die in a ditch as I eat your potato chips'? Tell me! I must know!" she shouted, Lucy sweetdropping.

"Well, it's nice to know that you're alright…" Lucy chuckled awkwardly, Natsu looking at her weirdly.

"What are you talking about?" she asked, Erza shaking her head.

"Trust me, it was something you never want to go through."

"Wait, so what you're telling me the only thing that can turn me back into a guy is say something that I learned from being a girl?" Natsu asked Levy who nodded her head. "And bam, I'll be back to being a guy?" Levy hesitated a little, eyebrows furrowing in thought.

"Well, you have to mean it, like really mean it, you can't just say something to turn back into a guy. The spell is meant for people of the opposite gender turn into the other gender to learn about some of the hardships that only that gender can face." Levy explained, Natsu nodding her head as she slowly got it.

"Oh, okay… so I can't just say having long hair is hard?" Natsu asked, Levy shaking her head.

"No, because that's something both genders face, not just one." she said.

"I get it!" Natsu said triumphantly, standing up with a determined expression in her eyes. "I learned—" suddenly she stopped, face screwing up in slight confusion.

"What's wrong?" Erza asked, pausing from taking a bite out of her strawberry cheesecake to stare at her friend in concern.

"Surely you learned something from being a girl?" Lucy said hopefully, Natsu nodding in agreement.

"I have, but…" she trailed off uncertainty.

"But what?" Levy prompted from beside her. Natsu suddenly turned beat red and bit her bottom lip as she stared down at the table top in embarrassment, mummbling something under her breath.

"What did you say?" Lucy asked, Natsu saying what she did a little louder, but not enough for them to hear, but Gajeel and Wendy seemed to hear, Gajeel laughing loudly from where he sat at the end of the table and Wendy looking at Natsu in a form of sympathy.

"What? What did you say?" Gray asked, finally joining in as he raised an eyebrow in Natsu's direction. Natsu went even redder as she sat down roughly, staring at the table top intensely. She chewed on her bottom lip for a few seconds before she spoke in an embarrassed trembling voice.

"But… but what if I like being a girl?" she asked just loud enough for everyone at the table to hear, all going silent, all but Gajeel (who kept on laughing hysterically).

"Y-you… What?!" Lucy almost screamed, staring at her pink haired friend in shock. Natsu crossed her arms over her chest and refused to meet anyone's eyes, slouching as if to hide from the surprised stares of her friends and from Gajeel's loud laughter at her expense. Levy threw a book at him and gave him a glare, Gajeel finally shutting up.

"Are you sure Natsu-san?" Wendy asked, giving the pink haired girl a reassuring smile as if to tell her whatever decision she made was alright.

"I don't know." Natsu mumbled. "I wanna be a guy, but at the same time I like being a girl… It's weird… I don't know what to do." she sighed, setting her arms on the table and laying her head on them. Mira seemed to overhear the conversation and walked over to them, standing right next to Natsu with her sweet smile.

"If you want to be a girl I'm sure the rest of the guild will understand." she assured, Natsu nodding into her arms.

"But… I want to go back to being a guy, but I also don't want to." Her voice became muffled as she turned and spoke into her arm.

"Which one do you enjoy being the most?" Gray asked, Natsu looking up at him with a raised eyebrow. She had expected him to laugh at her like Gajeel so she was a little shocked that he was serious with what he was saying.

"Guy… I guess." she mumbled, sitting up. "I mean I get to take off my shirt whenever I want without people yelling or drooling at me, I get to wear more comfortable clothing and have shorter hair, plus I won't have boobs getting in the way and guys constantly hitting on me." she said, Gray giving her an amused smile.

"Well, doesn't that answer your question?" he asked, Natsu suddenly beaming happily at him.

"Your right! Thanks ice-bastard!" she said happily, a tick mark appearing on Gray's forehead.

"I help you out and all I get is insulted?" he muttered to himself, but Natsu didn't seem to hear.

"Alright! I learned that not being able to take off your shirt whenever is really annoying!" Natsu shouted, Levy sweetdropping.

"Uh, I don't think that'll work…" she muttered, but surprisingly, a moment after she said this Natsu was surrounded by a bright light. When the light disappeared, Natsu stood there looking very much like he did when he was a boy, but only in girl clothing. That was a little too tight on him.

Let's just say the first thing Natsu had to do being back as a guy was go home and change.
