"Whoa! What was that?" Jazz's startled voice tore through the peaceful atmosphere, interrupting their meditation session.

Prowl onlined his visor and eyed at his companion with narrowed optics, not at all pleased at that the fact that their meditation session had been interrupted.

"What was what?" Prowl inquired, folding his arms on his chest as he watched Jazz.

The monochrome mech whipped his helm around, from left to right and looking behind him, trying to find something.

"I just saw somethin'. It was glowin' right in front of my faceplates...and now, it's gone."

This caused Prowl quirk an optic ridge, a bit interested. "Glowing...?"

Jazz nodded. "Yeah, it was an eerie, bright golden yellow. It jus' spooked me. Ya think ya know what it was? You're the "nature bot", since Bee calls ya that."

The black and gold mech chose to ignore that name. He pondered for a few moments, rubbing his chin as he thought of the organics he had seen and learned so far at this point during his time on Earth. "I think what you saw was a firefly. They're nocturnal insects, they only come out in the evening."

Jazz nodded, taking the information in. "But...do they hurt ya? With their glowing? I mean, with a name like 'firefly'..."

"No, of course not, they're completely harmless." Prowl assured, shaking his helm. "But as for their glowing, however, I assume it's their way of communicating with other fireflies."

"Huh. That's kinda cool. Sorta something like... morse code?"

"Something like that. Now...shall we continue our session?" The motorbike placed his servos on his knees as he looked at his friend once more.

Jazz didn't say anything for a moment, before he looked up at the sky, seeing a few of the stars glittering. He saw...not one, but two yellow dots...two fireflies flashing. One firefly was flashing rapidly while the other one flashed slowly, as though they were having a normal conversation.

The white mech couldn't help but smile at the sight.

"Jazz...?"

"Actually, Prowler...you start without me. I think I'll take...a glance at what these two are 'talkin' about for a bit..." The white mech pointed to the fireflies in the sky to indicate his point.

Prowl followed his gaze, noticing the said fireflies flashing in the sky. He, too, smiled softly at the sight.

"Alright, then," Prowl nodded, looking back to his friend again. "Whenever you're ready." With that, the black and gold mech, closed his optics, his visor darkening as he went back to his meditation session, taking a few deep breathes as he did so. His lipplates were set in a thin, firm line and not another word was heard from him.

Jazz uncrossed his legs, laying down on his back and both of his servos were behind the back of his helm as he kept his gaze to the sky. He watched as more fireflies started to appear. Soon enough, there were hundreds of them surrounding the area.

One by one, each of them were flashing and glowing in bright golden yellow dots...all of them having conversations with one another...

A/N: I was listening to Owl City's "Fireflies" on repeat and I was inspired to write this little drabble. Nothing special, just something sweet and short! :D

Hope ya'll liked it!
