BeBe: Hm, yep, nope. Still don't own Fullmetal Alchemist.

It was a rather well known fact that Colonel Roy Mustang didn't like paperwork. All you had to do was wait five minutes in his office, and you'd surely witness an argument between him and Lieutenant Hawkeye over it. Nobody really thought about it. Paperwork was clearly not something very many people enjoyed so they didn't find it odd that the flame alchemist hated it as well. However, these people would be wrong. Because there was a reason why he refused to do paperwork.

And it wasn't because he hated it.

No, it was because of the previously mentioned lieutenant. Not because of the stereotypical reason that he liked her when she was mad-that part he could live without-but because she always forces him to stay afterwards to finish up.

But not alone.

Never alone.

She was always there with him, claiming he wouldn't get it done if she weren't. Which gave Mustang the perfect reason to love staying behind. To be alone with her.

Because it was only during these times that he could fully bask in her presence without some pesky bug figuring it out. If only the military didn't have that stupid fraternization rule, then he wouldn't have to go through all this trouble just to get a few hours alone with her. But, alas it did.

So he sat there, his hand cramping and eyes going blurry as he read and signed paper after paper that he should've done earlier and simultaneously trying not to look up at his blonde haired Lieutenant and smile.

Roy Mustang didn't do his paperwork because he was in love with Riza Hawkeye.
