Can You Survive? Enter: Itachi-sensei!
Itachi stared at his new genin team. Apparently, this was one of the teams that was supposed to fail, judging by their grades. These three were at the bottom of the class, just above the dead last.
"Umm, Sensei?" Itachi focused on the girl who spoke. She flinched, and looked away. "Are you going to introduce yourself?" she asked, tugging on some of her hair.
"I am Itachi Uchiha. You will state your name and strengths." Itachi's eyes flashed red momentarily, scaring the genin. He pointed to the boy with silver hair.
"I am Sosuke Sugaya-"
"No you're not," Itachi interrupted.
"What? But you asked-"
"My little brother is the only Sasuke allowed. From now on, you are Eiji Sugaya."
"But why Eiji-"
"The plot demands it!" Itachi snapped. The newly named Eiji Sugaya seemed to shrink. "Well, continue."
"R-right. I am Sos- Eiji Sugaya. I am good at painting, camoflague, disguises, and stealth."
"Passable. Right, now the girl." Itachi gestured to the lone female.
"My name is Hinata Okano-"
"Wrong. There is already a Hinata who is plot important. Your name is Minami."
"O-okay... My name is Minami Okano. I excel in close combat. I was the most flexible and agile in our grade."
"I can work with that. Lastly, you," Itachi said, looking at the smaller boy.
"I'm Masayoshi Kimura." He paused, looking at Itachi.
"Why did you stop?" Itachi demanded.
"Aren't you going to change my name?"
"No."
"Oh... Well, I am the fastest in the class, and I'm pretty good with kunai."
"Well, it seems like you all aren't complete wastes of space. I can see you have potential."
The members of Team 3 brightened considerably.
"I will train you to be an elite assassination squad, rivaling the ANBU in strength. I only accept the best, so do not disappoint me." Itachi had a black aura surrounding him. The genin could hear the sound of crows cawing in the stared into Itachi's red eyes and-
"ITACHI!"
A shout broke the genjutsu as another dark haired ninja appeared out of nowhere.
"Shisui! What do you want? Can't you see I'm teaching?"
"Yes! That's exactly why I came!" Shisui grabbed Kimura. "This kid needs to join UWASUTA!"
"... What? Why? You can't just kidnap my student! He is a member of Team 3."
"Awww but Itachi, it's destiny! His name is LITERALLY Justice! As a fellow hero of justice, fate demands I teach him my heroic ways!" Kimura's eyes widened and he struggled to get away. Okano and Sugaya snickered.
"It's Masayoshi! I don't want to be some hero of justice!"
"You'll change your mind soon." Shisui picked up the boy and shunshined away.
"... Aren't you going to do something, Sensei?"
"I will retrieve Kimura and have a talk with the Hokage and my cousin about his "child collecting" tendencies." Itachi shunshined away as well, leaving Sugaya and Okano alone.
"Sweet! Day off!" The two genin skipped into town to enjoy their unexpected break.
"What just happened? Where the heck am I?" Shisui had unceremoniously dumped Kimura in the UWASUTA base before disappearing once again.
"Looks like he found another one." Kimura scanned the room, looking for the source of the voice. He found an older red haired boy in a corner.
"Who are you?!"
"I am Gaara. You are currently in the UWASTA base. Shisui, the guy who brought you here, nabbed me yesterday." Gaara responded in a monotone.
"And you don't care?!"
"No, not really. It's rather amusing, and I can just kill them once I grow tired of all this."
"Oh..." Kimura scooted to a far corner, nervous of Gaara.
"Hey Gaara, I just saw Itachi, and he looked pissed! Did Shisui do some-" Obito's timing was impeccable as always. "Oh... I see... He picked up another one." Obito sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Who are you? Do you know anything about the man from before?" Kimura implored.
"Obito Uchiha. Sorry, but I have to go and discuss something with my little brother." Obito vanished.
"Why am I always stuck with the crazy ones?" Kimura asked the ceiling.
"Patience Mother, you will have blood soon," Garra murmured.
"See what I mean?!"
"Shisui!"
"Shi-chan!"
"Shit!" Shisui hissed, "They found me."
Itachi glared at his friend. "Shisui, I understand your want for a follower. I myself had Sasuke, but you cannot steal my genin! They are mine!"
"Yeah bro," Obito followed, "Itachi has responsibility, and the last thing we need is charges of kidnapping."
"But they are perfect!" Shisui moaned. "Where am I going to find genin that appreciate my ultimate sense of JUSTICE?"
"Patience. You can train them once they become chunin. For now, I am molding my genin into an elite assassination squad. Nothing will be able to stop them! NOTHING!" Crows flew in the distance as a dark aura surrounded Itachi.
"Shi-chan, do you really want to get involved with that?" Obito asked, pointing to Itachi.
"Not really..." Shisui hung his head. "Fine, I'll return the genin."
"Good Shi-chan! You are a good boy!" Obito patted Shisu on the head.
"I can still kill you in your sleep," he growled. Obito snatched his hand back.
"I returned the crazy one and retrieved my min- I mean student."
Shisui and Obito gaped at Itachi. "When did you leave?"
"While Obito praised you for being a good boy."
Obito laughed. Shisui lunged and punched the other boy in the face, knocking him unconscious.
-Meanwhile, in the afterlife-
"Alright, THAT'S IT! I've had it with that ridiculous god breaking all the laws of the universe to do everything EXCEPT resurrect us! Kushina, hold my cape. I'm taking matters into my own hands!"
Minato flung his cape off and used Hirashin to transport himself to the border between life and death. He summoned all his chakra and focused on connecting with the one person close enough to the border to get his message.
"OBITO! I am sick and tired of being the only actually dead one."
"Ahem!" Kushina coughed.
"Other than my beautiful and perfect wife, who hopefully won't maim me. Where was I... Oh! Right, I m working on a way to somehow come back! Don't give up hope!"
Minato collapsed, exhausted from his message.
"Hopefully he understands."
"Whoa!" Obito exclaimed, sitting up.
"Obito! Are you okay? I found you passed out in an alley." Rin stood and checked him for a concussion.
"Shisui knocked me out... I didn't think I'd end up in the hospital."
"It's a good thing I found you! You could have been hurt!"
"Rin! That's not important! While I was unconscious, I saw Minato-sensei!"
"Really? What did he say?" Rin returned to his side, gripping his hand.
"He said something about being ticked he and Kushina are the only dead ones, and that he has a plan."
"Obito... That's not normal." Obito stared at her for several seconds.
"Kami! I must be going crazy!" he cried, clutching his head. "Rin, I need help!"
"With what?" she asked, trying to sooth him.
"I... I see dead people!" Rin smacked the back of his head.
"With all the shit that's happened, that is the most normal thing yet!"
"Really? I thin-" Rin smacked him again.
"Now is not the time for overused references! Sometimes I wonder how I put up with you." She stormed out of the room, slamming the door.
"Rin! Come back!" Obito called, following her.
A/N: Yay! Ch. 16 is done! This is officially my first chapter published as a university student! :D Y'all probably guessed the characters were from another SJ manga Assassination Classroom. I know the crossover idea isn't very creative, but I had a reason! In Assassination Classroom, the characters make references to a bunch of other SJ series, including Naruto, so I didn't think it would be too strange for Naruto to have a bit of crossover action as well. If you hate it, tell me. I tried to at least pick minor characters (so it wasn't too cliche). Anyway, thank you all for your lovely comments, follows, and favorites! :3
Until next time!
