This is set in Season 3. My portrayal of the Otherside is different. It's different to everyone who goes there. I imagine it to be like a huge world where all the souls remain. I don't own the characters, these are not mine k? This is just how I portray them.

Her eyes danced around the meadow, confusion evident in the green eyes of the old vampire. Her red hair shined gently in the light, just like her translucent eyes which was captured by the scenery around, staring in awe yet still confused. She walked slowly to a broad and aged white oak tree. She stared at it, looking up at the vibrant green leaves, before spinning around again slowly, none of this seeming familiar. "Where am I..?" She spoke, her words echoing softly as her eyes glanced up taking in the blues, oranges, and reds of the sky.

"The Otherside."

His words echoed not even a few seconds after, the voice unmistakable. There was no way she could forget it – it was her sire, and the man who held her heart for over 9 centuries. "Finn," She whispered, turning to see his tall and broad form, his brown eyes full of happiness and light. "Hello Sage," He spoke softly to her with a smile etched in his face. And though she knew she should have been happy to see her love healthy and vibrant and alive, Sage wasn't. "You mean.. I'm dead? But.. I was in the Salvatore house. I was going to avenge, I was a few steps away killing Stefan Salvatore."

Her pain and rage resurfaced as she hissed those words. He pursed his lips, remaining silent for a few swift heartbeats. "You got sick during the fight. It seems as though the myth of the bloodlines is real." He spoke softly. She narrowed her eyes and looked down at the grass beneath her feet as she tried to remember. "… You're right. I died. But.. I was suppose to avenge you." She looked up, her green eyes connecting with his brown ones. "I failed you, Finn. I'm sorry." She murmured softly, her expression remaining blank and her words sounding dead.

He merely shook his head and brought a hand up to gently caress a lock of Sage's crimson hair. "Speak not of failures, Sage. If vengeance were to be had then vengeance would have taken place." He spoke, his tone cool and calm. "With death comes freedom at times Sage it doesn't have to be a bad thing." He smiled at her, Sage returning the smile. "We can be together again." Sage said, finally coming to that realization as she spoke it. He nodded and leaned in to press his lips to hers in a gentle kiss – sweet and yearning. She returned it softly, finding how bad she missed his touch and warmth.

"We can be together, forever."

It made Sage smile broadly hearing him say that. "Well we did miss out on a few centuries." She teased, making the Original release a deep chuckle, a sound Sage missed. "Then perhaps we should get started on all that time lost." Finn said with a soft smile, kissing her lips again, framing her face gently in his hands. She returned a kiss as if a way to say 'yes.' "I love you, Finn," She spoke the words softly as she slipped her arms around him, feeling his arms lace around her.

"I love you too, Sage."
