Chapter 5: Eric's Ex-Friends

Disclaimer: I don't own That 70s Shows.

A/N: Hey, guys! Sorry for the very, very late update. I was, and still am, very busy for the past while with school but I'm getting the hang of it again. Plus, I am now super excited for this story! I have plenty of ideas so ignore how short or uneventful this chapter is. It's a filler, but I don't wanna rush it. Enjoy!

Eric stormed into his basement, nearly swinging the door of the hinges and threw his backpack down on the couch that had seen better days. He looked to his left with a murderous look in his eye when an old, empty lawn chair came into view. He walked over to the chair with an ice cold look in his eye and, resembling The Hulk; he picked the chair up and hurled it down on the ground.

He took in a few deep breaths as he sat down on the arm of the couch behind him. The geek's burning hazel eyes stared at the old lawn chair before he buried his head in his big, lanky hands and shut his eyes.

He still remembered the day that he and Steven Hyde meet. When he was having problems with Donna being too strong for him, Hyde had a reputation of being tough so Eric approached him on the playground and hired him to be his body guard. That was soon forgotten when his mother forced the two to take a bath together and they decided to be friends.

Later, Eric introduced Hyde to Michael Kelso, who had been his friend since kindergarten. The three became the best of friends and decided that they should be loyal to each other forever thus becoming blood brothers at the age of fourteen. Unfortunately, it didn't last up until recently.

A few months after Fez joined the brotherhood, 'The Populars' asked Hyde to help them out with getting some 'stuff'. In return, they started asking him to parties and to sit at the table. Slowly, Hyde started leave the gang but was on the fence. It wasn't till he and Eric had a big fight that he left 'The Basement Losers' for good and brought Kelso with him, seeing that he was good looking and Pam Macy had her eye on him.

That fight still burned on the back of Eric's mind every single day. He regretted his words but they needed to be said. He fucked up bad, but so did Hyde.

"God, Eric, I've never seen you this mad," he heard Donna's voice say and he turned on his heel to see the tall girl standing in the basement doorway beside Fez.

"I'm sick of Hyde's shit," Eric replied, his voice full of annoyance and hatred and he sat down on the arm of the old couch before groaning into his hands. "What's his fucking problem anyways? What have I ever fucking done to him?" he looked to see Donna and Fez with perplexed looks on their faces. It wasn't like Eric to get really worked up.

"Umm . . . I don't know," Fez said nervously, shrugging his shoulders. He pulled out a small cuboid box of Good N Plenty and held it out to Eric. "Would you like some candy?"

"Candy isn't the answer to everything," Eric retorted, declining the foreigner's offer.

Fez's eyes widened in horror and resembled a child that was just told Santa Claus didn't exist, "Yes it is, you son of a bitch!" he exclaimed before throwing himself into the lawn chair that Eric didn't attack and ate his candy angrily.

"Don't let Hyde get to you, Eric," Donna said, going back to the previous topic as she took a seat on the couch. She gazed at Eric with soft blue eyes as she understood that overwhelming feeling of anger that was caused by something Hyde did. "He's not worth it."

"Jackie did nothing to him," the geek told her as he sat down beside her. Eric didn't have a particular liking to the Texas native, but he could stick around and get along with her, but what Hyde did to her was uncalled-for. "He's just so mean!"

"Eric, you're not five," the redhead replied, referring to his whiny tone and choice of words. Off the glare she received, Donna continued on, "I'm mad about it too but there's nothing we can do but move on."

"That was the final straw . . ." Eric gritted through his teeth as his hands formed fists in his lap. "I could just punch him!" he added, causing Donna's brows to rise from shock, Eric was not normally a violent person.

"I know!" Donna replied her tone had changed into one that was full of hatred and aggression. She sat back in her seat and crossed her arms tightly across her chest as her eyes narrowed and eyebrows furrowed. "I could too."

"After all we've been through . . ." the scrawny boy whispered as if he was talking to himself rather than Donna. "And he took Kelso too."

"Aye . . ." came a small voice, causing the two to look across to their foreign friend, who's look of anger had now been overlapped with a look of hurt and depression as he reminisced.

Jackie quickly hopped out of her Dad's Lincoln as soon as their butler, William opened her car door. She rushed past him, forgetting her manners, and hurriedly got inside her house and threw her bag to the side. The upset brunette took her stained t-shirt out of her backpack and ran into the laundry room to see a lady with greying red hair folding towels.

"Molly, it's an emergency!" she cried with her t-shirt in hand as she ran over to the maid, who looked at her concerned. "Is it fixable?" Jackie added shoving the mess into her maid's hands.

Molly examined the stain before giving the frantic teen a reassuring smile, "Yes, mistress, now calm down."

Jackie flashed her smile that said thank you before taking a few deep and calming breaths to make her maid happy before she walked coolly out of the room. But as soon as she was out of sight of the laundry room, she bolted up the stairs and the sound of her shoes hitting of the hardwood floor echoed through the hall way. She ran into her pink bedroom before shutting and locking the door behind her. The fragile brunette took a shaky breath as tears stung her brown eyes and she slid down the door.

Tears flowed from her long lashes to her burning, red cheeks. Today was total humiliation. That would have never had happened to her in her old school. No one was like that. Everyone was civil with their bitchiness, meaning that you went behind someone's back to stab them and not do it in front of the entire student body; you had to let them keep some of their pride.

After the whole run in with that scruffy stoner and everyone laughing at her, she ran to the, luckily, empty bathroom and locked herself in. The brunette bawled her eyes out until Donna came in and helped calm her down. Donna was really nice, a little manly, but still nice. The redhead had even given Jackie a black Aerosmith t-shirt to wear. Luckily, black went with everything but Aerosmith wasn't her type of music.

Jackie wiped away more fallen tears and mascara, "How I am I gonna show my face tomorrow?"

Jackie, who had her head down and Chanel sunglasses on, walked through the hallways of the hellhole called school to get to her locker. She propped her glasses up on to her forehead and twisted in her combination. She swung her backpack to the front of her body and pulled out a timetable Jackie drew out herself and stuck to her locker as something in her locker caught her eye.

The brunette zipped her bag closed and swung it around as her eyes examined the floral, pink gift bag in her locker. She looked side to side to see no one hanging around and took out the bag excitedly. Opening it and looking inside, a bright beam appeared on her lips. Inside the gift bag was a pale pink unicorn. Jackie's eyes scanned the bag for a card or a note or something.

Michael Kelso was hiding around the corner, only half of his face was visible as he was peeking out from the wall. His brown eyes were sparkling and the corners of his lips curled upwards as he watched the new girl read the tag that said: don't mind dem.

Jackie assumed that the generous person, who made her day, was failing English but nonetheless she was one hundred per cent grateful.
