A poem I wrote for my English class. I've put it here for a reference of a non-rhyming poem for Rakcrack15. I hope this helps you! And good luck with your poetry! xoxo

"Twilight"

The clock tower chimes at the passing hour,
Yet the twilight remains eternal.
It stands majestic atop the hill,
As it gazes protectively at the town
Stretching far into the distance.

A single-carriage train
Travels silently along its winding elevated track;
The only movement
As far as the eye can see.

Ice-cream is shared
As they sit in silence,
Mesmerized by the view
That such height provides.

The sun, permanently positioned,
Low in the sky
Sends streaks of red and orange light
Over the world, like tipped paint cans.

A time of relaxing,
Of unwinding and peace.
The three sit on the clock tower, wishing,
For the moment to be eternal as the twilight.
