Saying Good-Bye

Chapter One:

My Little One

~The Last Time Lord

A/N: The Doctor says good-bye to his daughter, who he had only recently just been reunited with. For daughteroftheoncomingstorm (Tumblr original character). I don't own Doctor Who.

The Doctor slowly sat down on the grass in front of a simple gravestone marker. His usually sharp blue eyes dulled by pain. No parent should outlive their child, and yet here he was.

"'s not fair: we'd only jus' found each other, an' now... yer gone again. Only this time, we're not getting each other back. Not in this life time." He closed his eyes and a tear fell. "I'm sorry, Little One. I should have been there. I could have saved you, or at least comforted you. Isn't tha' s'posed to be my job, as yer dad: ta chase away th' monsters an' make it all better?" His voiced cracked. He was crying now. He took a deep breath and whispered: "I love you, my Ana, always will; to the end of time."

A/N: Thank you very much for reading. Rasillon, that one was tough. As always, reviews are appreciated.
