Chapter 22

Leon waited for her answer.

His fingers playing lightly with the raven-coloured hair whom he likes too much. Both of her eyes shut closed, hiding the beautiful hazel pearl inside. The girl head relaxed on the top of his leg. Ada is surprisingly very light that her position right now doesn't give Leon any discomfort at all, he thought about trying to pick her up someday, it surely will be pretty easy.

"So what do you think?"

He tried to ask once more, realizing she's taking much longer than she's supposed to. A part of him starting to get impatient to hear her answer.

"It's not like I don't want to spend a full day with you, but I've promised Helena to join her for a movie marathon."

"I promise spending the day with me would be so much fun than hanging out in her otaku lair"

"Helena is my friend I don't want to let her down, besides I've been hanging out with my boyfriend too much lately, a day without him seems like a good change."

Leon pouted childishly which followed by Ada light chuckle and a gentle pinch on his cheek. Despite how well their relationship progressing, the time that they could spend together seems to be decreasing as the day goes. He really can't blame her, because he's the one who's getting busier with all the preparations towards fencing championship that'll be held soon. He really wanted to take her to a proper date which in his dictionary would require a whole full day being undisturbed, but what else can he do.

Suddenly she gets up, almost bumping into Leon's head in advance.

"That aside, I still have one more thing to do today. Care to join me?"

"Is this thing related to the bedroom or the bathroom?"

Ada gave him a deadly glare that almost got him speak up and apologize for his impure words.

"I actually haven't bought anything for Sherry birthday. I think you could help me find something suitable." Ada grabbed her velvet coat from the coat hanger and toss the darker one which belongs to him. She opened the door and coyly walked outside without saying anything else, she's not even hesitating to see Leon that's still struggling to gather his textbooks.

Waiting is really not her forte, isn't it? He thought as he hastily stepped out from the room.

He was making his way to the front where Ada is supposed to be right now when he bumped into a familiar face.

So familiar that if it wasn't for the full framed glasses on her face he would've thought that she's his girlfriend.

"Oh hey, Carla. Have you seen, Ada? She sort of disappeared on me." He said, trying to, at least, make a decent conversation with the other girl.

"Definitely not in my pocket," she answers rudely, her eyes looking at Leon sharply. Somehow he can sense a disapproval in her gaze. "I thought she'd be done with you after the ball, I guess I was wrong."

A month is almost passed since the eventful night in thanksgiving. Leon and Ada's relationship has escalated in every romantic way that possible. They've also been visiting each other house. But unlike how Sherry is usually around whenever Ada is coming, Carla didn't seem to be present in her own house. Perhaps ever since he started dating her twin this is actually the first time they meet and talk to each other.

"Being wrong is really unlike you, isn't it? But that's the truth. Well then if you two done talking, I would like to continue what I was doing." A voice suddenly answered.

Carla disapproval gaze moved onto her sister, both of her hands clenched at her sides, with her teeth gritted in annoyance. She looked at Ada for a moment before turning, stepping away from both of them.

Ada sighed, both of them watched the other girl fumingly walked into her room and slam the door closed. The girl uncharacteristic little tantrum is actually making Leon started to regret coming from the first place and the way the twins treating each other also making him uncomfortable.

"Come on, don't let her sour mood dragging you down. I'll talk to her later," Ada squeezes his shoulder softly before intertwining their fingers.

Apparently on Friday night Racoon city shopping mall is pretty crowded, he surely would've separated from Ada if it wasn't for her grip on his coat sleeve. They've been to several shops, which is filled mostly with girls. Boys that are present mostly because they stuck in the same case with him right now. Many times he met the eye of other girl boyfriend and they exchange the 'I feel you, bro' looks.

"I still have zero idea what to give Sherry."

Then she suddenly stopped, her hand pulling Leon to a complete halt as well. They're in front of a store which name, motto and detail are written in French and the only thing he could understand is the words head, hat, and accessory. At least that words can explain the purpose of the store for poor non-French speaking people like him.

"Does she love hats?"

"Sherry?" Leon asked back, the sudden stop seems to be stopping his mind as well.

"No, your dog," She answered sarcastically her eyes rolling in annoyance.

"I've never seen her wearing any before. Sherry I mean. But I'm sure she'd love to wear whatever you give her. She's that kind of girl." Leon explained.

They both entered the hat store and Ada started to look at it from piece to piece. The store probably has hundreds of hats, he grabbed one of them which is the wide and the kind which women loves to wear on the beach and put it on Adas head.

"It looks good on you." He complimented as Ada sighed and take off the hat, she approached one of the staff and started to explain what kind of hats that she's looking for. Leon pouted at her lack of response, but Ada was too busy with her conversation to notice that.

Leon doesn't bother to listen because he's pretty sure he wouldn't understand the fashion related language that Ada is using and it would probably make him bored and started to feel sleepy. He wanders around the store once more before his eyes landed on another store across him.

He approached Ada, who's still deciding which one she should take from around dozen kind of hats and hair accessories.

"Find the one you're looking for?"

"Not yet, they're still searching for it."

"Would you mind if I go to the store across this one for a moment? There's something I need to buy," Ada look at him in confusion for a moment before nodded.

"Fine. I'll be right here, okay?"

Leon smiled then stole a kiss on her cheek. Something that's completely unnecessary, but he still does it anyway. Ada replied with a smile and a shooing gesture with her hands, signalling him to go.

He casually exited the store and entered his destinations. Inside he walked straight to a counter in the end corner.

"How may I help you, sir?" the staff on desk nicely ask him.

"I want to give something to my girlfriend and I would like it to be specially made to suit her."

"You've come to the right place. Have you think about what kind of design do you want?"

Leon smiled and started to explain what he has in mind to the staff.

A/N:

It took me a full month after the last update, thank you very much for your patience.

I hope you can enjoy this chapter (which is more or less filled with fluff, that's actually not my forte)... It probably has lots of mistakes than the latest few chapters since I didn't double check this thing. If it's true, I'm really sorry for that.

Fav, follow and review. I really love them :)
