Last chapter
After she was taken from her house.
She had no idea where she was or how long she had been unconscious for but the first thing she did see was Johnny's face smiling down at her. Part of her was annoyed, he just couldn't seem to leave her alone and she hoped she would be there for the day he would find out it was in fact Lance that had killed Donnie.
Another part of her was filled with fear on what he was going to do to her.
"Told you, you would pay for what you did. Just wait and see what I have in store for you." He had a smile on his face but each word was filled with angry at her. She never got a chance to reply as a fist slammed against her stomach . Sharp pain shot through her body before a bag was thrown over her head.
Family matters to a certain extent
Dom didn't know what to feel at that moment, watching as Johnny knocked out Victoria. Turning his head to face Vin and Brian, to see that the space Brian had occupied was empty and that Brian was nowhere to be found but he was the last of their worries.
He watched as Vin head shot towards the spot Brian had been and Dom could tell that it was pushing Brian further up Vin hate list. They turned back when they heard the sound of engines to see Tran and his team all getting back into their vehicles and driving out. They had left Victoria tied up on the ground.
"Jessie, as soon as they gone bring the car round. We got Victoria." Dom whispered, waiting for the last of trans cars to leave before they both made their way towards Victoria. Dom wasting no time dropping to his knees before turning her over, she looked worst up close. Her body from what he could see was so much worst then he expected. There was cuts and bruise lining every single part he could see as well as all the dried blood. She was still wearing the clothes she had on the last time they had seen her.
Vin stood back, his head turning round hoping to catch a glimpse of Brian and where he had disappeared to. Victoria was not his problem so he didn't really care about what happened to her but he was curious on why the trans would be after her anyway.
The sound of Jessie pulling into the garage pushed Dom into action. Sliding his hands underneath her body, being careful on where his hands whereas he wasn't sure the extent of the damage to her body. He moved forward towards Jessie car, watching as the kid jumped out before opening the backdoor before moving backwards.
He watched as Dom placed Victoria into the backseat gentle, haven't spent weeks trying to locate her and finding nothing. They had not known her that long but she had bonded with them in that short period and to find out that she had been used as a punching bag for the trans well it made Jessie stomach turned.
Dom slide into the backseat propping Victoria head onto his lap while Jessie ran round the car before jumping into the driver's seat as Vin slowly made his way towards the passenger side. He was pissed, he still believed that Brian was a cop, he had disappeared and then they find the women that had turned Dom, Mia and Jessie against him, Leon and Letty. He was not happy at all.
Family matters to a certain extent
Brain had run out as soon as he caught sight of someone, he had not seen for a good 6 years and someone he didn't want to see. His sister Victoria. He was angry she was going to blow his whole image if he was not careful.
Why is she here? I can't let her ruin everything I have worked hard for over the years, not again.
She had ruined his life when he had to arrest her for murder. He was a good cop but cause of her he was put on the bench for so long. They didn't trust him, to have a murderer in his family. It had taken him so long to get their loyalty back and having trust in him and he was not going to let her ruin it for him, not now and not again.
He had quickly, made his way towards the temporary headquarters, he would need to let them know as soon as possible so they hopefully won't think he had any part of this. He didn't care what happened to her, she was not his reasonability and he had his own life.
Storming into the headquarters to be welcomed with the sight of Agent Bilkins and Sgt. Tanner talking.
"…automatic weapons, priors on every one of these asian punks, a garage full of dvd players…"
"It also filled with cars that have no engines" Brian spoke up, leaning against the unit.
"and generally psychotic behavior. Tell me why we shouldn't move on Tran now and see where the dust settles?" Bilkins questioned, staring at both Brian and Sgt.
"I watched him torture a man in his garage tonight. Literally pouring fuels into the man's mouth but it just one cop words, we need prove and all we have at this moment is behavior." Brian declared, hoping to get them to understand. "Let me get some hard evidence, because what we have now is just…."
Agent Bilkins sighed before turning to face Brian "What we have is probable cause, and truckers arming themselves for some good old-fashion vigilante mayhem, it's time we…"
"Well you want to know that tonight I watched as Johnny and his team dragged Victoria out from their car all battered and bruised." That got both agent and Sgt to shut up, both staring at Brian.
"Victoria O'Conner? Your sister?"
Brian nodded, folding his arms as he stared at them both.
"Well this changes things" Sgt. Tanner spoke up, pouring himself a coffer. "If word get out that she dealing with the trans again O'Conner, you could be pulled from this case" He could feel Brian eyes on him but he chose to ignore it.
"I have nothing to do with her. Haven't since I arrested her and through her into prison. I even left her there with the trans. Haven't I proved myself these years of my trust and LOYALTY" By the end he was shouting, he had enough of Tanner and his crap.
Agent Bilkins moved forward incase Brian tried anything; it wouldn't be the first time. Tanner and Brian had never gotten along. "Sgt. Tenner, Brain is a good cop and has proved it many times. There is no reason to start questioning him now just because his sister has arrival." He turned to face Brian, ignoring the huff that came from Tanner. "Brian, do you have anything that would explain why she would be with them?"
Sighing he turned his head away, his eyes staring at the wall in front of him.
"Only thing I can think of is that they would want revenge. Johnny and Donnie were close. I just don't understand why she stayed here and not move somewhere else." He was most talking to himself at that point, whatever she had gotten herself into to was her own problem.
"Tell us about hector, Brian." Sgt. Tanner demanded, hoping they would finally get some concrete evidence to end this shit show.
Family matter to a certain extent.
Dom walked into his garage to see Leon, Letty and Jessie working on the engine and Brian bent over the car sorting out the wires. It had been a long few day. Victoria still had not woken up since they saved her. She had been placed in Dom's room and he had Mia checking on her ever so often. Vin didn't know she was in the house still and Dom hadn't told Leon or Letty as he wasn't ready to deal with their bullshit.
Mia had cleaned her up as best as she could and from what she had told Dom and Jessie, it seems Victoria had been put though a lot. She would have some scars but at least she was no longer with the trans. A day after haven Victoria in their house, Brian had showed up which had cause Vincent to storm out. After pulling him to the side and questioning him on where he had disappeared to after Tran garage, it had not built up any trust in Dom.
A day after they broke into Trans Garage
Dom was just coming from upstairs after checking in on Victoria, her body was healing but she wasn't waking up. Mia said she might have just needed some rest as they were not fully sure on everything she had been put though. Voices from the kitchen pulled Dom that way and he was welcomed with the sight of Mia and Brian taking which did not sit well with him. He had already told Mia to be careful with him haven't explained mostly what had happened in Tran garage.
"Mia, mind letting me borrow Brian for a minute please" She nodded knowing exactly what he wanted to talk to Brian about. Moving round the counter while picking up her cup before moving past her brother. She wasn't going to argue, she trusted her brother and if he told her to be careful of someone she was going to take his advice no matter how cute or handsome the person was.
Dom moved towards the fridge before pulling out a beer, turning to face Brian whose eye was not leaving the counter did not exactly help matters, it gave Dom the feeling her was hiding something. "What happened to you at Trans? We turned round and you had disappeared and now you show up out of nowhere?" he wasn't shouting but there was a clear warning in his voice.
"I'm sorry Dom, seeing that young lady being yanked out scared the crap out of me" He was telling as much truth as he could. "I panicked, imagine what would have happened if we got caught. I just ran, I'm sorry" Taking a sip out of his own beer while staring at Dom, it was mostly the truth but he wasn't scared of Tran and his team he was scared on Victoria blowing his cover.
It was silent for a while as Dom stared as Brian. There was something he was hiding but Dom didn't known what exactly yet but he would find out. "Vince still thinks you're a cop, you will have to earn our trust. That stunt you pulled did not help your case but I will put you to work and we will see"
True to his word he had put him to work on the car once again, he still kept a watchful eye out on him and again had warned Mia but so far nothing had happened.
Back to present
Dom moved ahead before climbing into the car where the engine would be before pulling up a large metal plate that was going to be screwed into the front. "You got any big plans tonight?" Dom questioned as he tightens the bolts before moving to the next. It was a test; Mia had already told him Brian had asked her out and now he wanted to see what Brian would say.
Brian lifted his head up from the wires he was working on to stare at Dom whose face didn't even turn to face him, turning to look behind to see Leon, Letty and Jessie continuing to work on the engine and not paying attention to them two.
"Yeah, I asked Mia out. I'm just taking her out to dinner."
Letting go of the large metal plate before his eyes turn to Brian, there was a clear warning in them. "You break her heart; I'll break your neck"
It was silent between them both before they both turned back to their work.
Family matters to a certain extent.
Everything had been quiet and easy going for the last few days. Victoria had woken up and Dom had Mia looking after her, making sure no one else apart from them and Jessie knowing that she was even in the house. She had been quiet since waking up, not speaking a word and Mia guessing she might have been traumatized.
Dom had finished his work in the garage that day and it had been fairly quiet, Vince had gone off on his own for bit with Letty, while Jessie was on his computer designed more car designs and Mia was running the shop that day. Brian had once again disappeared and there had been no word from him apart from Mia letting him know that Brian was working.
He decided he would go and check into on Victoria and she how she was doing. Honestly it worried him on how attached he had become to her in a matter of weeks and how close Jessie and Mia had gotten as well, maybe it was just her personality. The fact he had been around these people for years thinking they were a close knitted family and then a stranger to come in and open his eyes to everything wrong in his life.
Pulling up to his house to see all the cars gone meaning it would just be him and Victoria. Maybe now he could hopefully get some information about what had happened while she had been in Tran's hands. He entered his home to the sound of silent, he was so used to there being arguments or loud noises that the silent made him uncomfortable.
He wasted no time in taking the stairs up to his room, each step creaking from his weight as he moved forward. Knocking on the door before pushing it open quietly incase she was sleeping and he was welcomed with an empty room. The bed where she had been for the last few days, clean and tidy like no one had slept there and a small piece of paper laying on top of the pillow, taking the few steps forward before snatching the paper of the pillow.
I need time. I will find you. Thanks.
It was simply and yet it pissed Dom of. He wasn't sure why he was pissed of, the fact he couldn't speak to her or the fact she had just upped and left. He would just have to have hope that she would come to them soon enough but for now they had a race to get ready for.
Soon they would meet again
There you go. Please don't forget to review, thank you so much.
