I bet y'all thought you were rid of me. Think again, ya bunch of dicks.

So, I know literally nobody asked for this, but yes, there is a sequel to this shitshow. The title is still a work in progress, but I'm thinking something along the lines of "I'm gonna put a Mary Sue in the fucking fanfic even if it kills me"

...

That was a joke. The title part, not the sequel part. That part is actually happening, unfortunately.

The sequel will take place right at the beginning of the DOMA arc, right after the timeskip. So you might be a bit confused of the events at the beginning, but you're clever, you'll catch on ;)

The sequel won't be in Lorna's POV either. Because she's dead. Sorry again for that. But you'll also get a new spunky protagonist in her place who is less "poor me" and more "fight me" so look forward to that. Though I'll still have other points of view, still lovingly labelled for you -same system as "Gathering of the Departed" (Incendium, Zephyrus, Lumen, Nox, Caelestis, Terra, Unda)

I'm posting the first chapter on October 31st. Sound good? Good.

Now, without further ado, here's a preview of the sequel, which you can skip if you don't want spoilers :) I've put in two little teasers.

[Teaser 1: Soundtrack: Mysterious - Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Japanese OST]

Kaiba's coat tail sweeps after him as he makes his way through the claustrophobic halls of the submarine. He can hear dull clangs and thuds in the distance, but ignores them. Right on his tail is his younger brother, trying hard to keep up with his brother's pace.

"Hey, big bro! Are we really there?" Mokuba chirps.

"H-Hey! S-Slow down!" a boy around Mokuba's age cries out, jogging after the two of them. "I can't keep up!"

Mokuba turns his head and lets out an apologetic laugh. "Sorry, Leon."

Leon grins and replies breathlessly. "It's alright! So it's true? The sub is surfacing? Finally?"

Seto doesn't look back when he replies. "That's what Pegasus is telling us. If that fool of a professor was telling the truth, we've finally found what we're looking for."

"And what are we looking for?" Mokuba questions as the trio arrive to the deck of the submarine, where a ladder is waiting for them. They half expect to see natural light, something none of them have seen for quite a while, filtering into the room, but the small energy saving lights in the ceiling are the only sources of light they can see.

Seto doesn't say anything. Pegasus had been tight-lipped the entire journey over. It is anyone's guess what he's looking for. All he knows, is that he enlisted the help of some kind of archaeologist -some Professor Hawkins.

He steps aside once they reach the ladder and allows the two younger boys to climb up before him. He watches as Leon climbs up first, followed by Mokuba. Once both of them are up, he begins his own ascent. The tunnel in which the ladder is situated is lit up by dull strip lights, just bright enough for him to see his own hands on the ladder rungs.

Soon, his surroundings change from ugly metal to something he never anticipated. He doesn't see the familiar blue of the ocean or even the sky. Pegasus managed to have the submarine resurface inside a giant cave, with a ceiling full of stalactites, and a floor so full of stalagmites it looks nearly impossible to walk on, save for one conveniently flat path.

As he steps onto the top of the submarine, he finds the rest of the crew crowded around the flat surface of the vessel, all uncertainly eyeing the stone and saltwater formations. "What in the world…" he mumbles under his breath as he looks around. Salt rock aren't the only things around him. There also seem to be bright turquoise crystal formations growing out of the ground; they seem to have an eerie and unnatural glow about them.

"It is impressive, isn't it?" Kaiba looks over at the speaker. Pegasus, always dressed to impress in a khaki explorer's outfit, is lurking by his side, gazing at the depths of the cave with a look of longing in his eye.

"Where are we?" Seto demands, tearing his eyes away from the crystal formations for a moment to glare at the man beside him.

Pegasus covers his mouth with his fist and chuckles. "Don't be impatient, Kaiba-boy. Telling you now would ruin the fun."

[Teaser 2: Soundtrack: Puppet Show - Umineko No Naku Koro Ni OST]

"Alright, assface. You've got three seconds to show your face before I find you and shove my fist down your throat!" I hollered, glaring at the mirrors around me. All I could see was my own reflection, expression full of rage and concern. I had never liked funhouses.

"Jeez, chill the fuck out, will you, Sera!"

That voice!

"Lia? Is that you?" I turned around, spinning around myself like a dog trying to find its tail before spotting her face. She grinned at me like the Cheshire Cat; maybe that's what she was, and I was Alice, getting fucked over by her time and time again. She looked like a princess, her pretty dress waving around her olive thighs. The yoke of her dress was made of intricate black lace and covered the top of her breasts and her shoulders. It was her blonde hair that made the look, though. Even tied in a high ponytail, it reached the middle of her back.

"Stop ogling me, Sera. I'm starting to think you have a crush on me," she scolded light-heartedly, ending her sentence with a giggle.

I blushed and tried to stand my ground. "That's not what it is!" I cried out. Wow, Sera. A fucking plus defending.

She looked at my face curiously, linking her hands behind her back like an idle child. "Oh? So do you stare at all girls like that? Way to let me get my hopes up," she murmured, pouting and turning around to face herself in one of the mirrors. "You'll never get a girlfriend if you act like an annoying cunt all the time."

Although her voice was gentle like a princess, she swore like a sailor. She'd never do that in front of anyone else, which, I had to admit, made me feel a bit special. Although being treated like shit by a cute girl wasn't exactly a fetish of mine; I was no masochist. "Oh and what breed of cunt are you?"

Lia gave me an amused smirk through the mirror. "The cute kind."

I scowled at her, but tried to compose myself nonetheless. "Cut the bullshit, Lia. Why did you ask me to come out here?"

She crossed her arms and turned around. "Promise you won't tell anyone? Not even Malik… or Serenity or Bakura?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah. Sure."

"No! You have to promise!" She sounded like an angry child now, and her short stature didn't help much to discredit the comparison.

I sighed and shrugged. "Sure. I promise I won't tell."

She blew into her fringe in exasperation and narrowed her eyes; it seemed like my answer didn't completely satisfy her, but I heard no complaints. "Fine… okay. I need you to find something for me."

"Find something?" She had butlers and servants at her disposal, why did she need me?

"I think they're hiding something about me. Something… important."

"Why can't you just ask -"

Before I could finish my sentence, she snapped at me. "I can't ask him, alright? I can't trust him. He's doing his best to hide this from me and I need to know why. It's like… his biggest secret is me."

Aaaand, that's all she wrote ;)

I'm sure you could tell that your new protagonist goes by the name of Sera, but whooooo is the lovely Lia?

This is just a small teaser of what is to come...

Hopefully some people are still interested in this fic :) Let me know in the reviews! (pls... they are... my life's blood... and i am... anemic...)

Also I've been considering chapter soundtracks for the sequel just like what I've done here, let me know if that's something you'd like as well! I could also make playlists and link to them on the Mary-Sue-Gi-Oh blog or something.
