I finally got the chapter done.

I Don't Own Vampire Diaries.

Bitter sweet thing.
Could this be a dream
Or just the same nightmare that keeps me awake?
Feel it in my brain.
A tall shot of pain.
Pour a little up now for the love that we've made.

I feel it in the morning.
You're still here in the morning.
I see you but you're gone
Telephone a doctor: I'm not okay.
The bottom of the bottle
To fill this empty heart up.
A thousand proof
Don't change the truth.
I tried it but I can't

Damon awoke in the Salvatore mansion, groggy and disoriented. Blood bags and Bottles of alcohol were scattered around his feet. He ran his hands over his face as he observed where he was. Everything that had happened, him being in New York, the crowd of people singing and having Bonnie in his arms, never happened. It was all a fucking dream. A figment of his state of drunken imagination. A knock came from the front door. Damon slowly dragged his feet across the floor as the knocking from the door became erratic. He shielded his eyes as he opened the door. "H-Hey Damon is-" The vampire's vision adjusted to the light and to the person standing in front of him. Elena stood before him grinning. That grin was soon replaced with a frown as the door slammed staggered past the table picking up a half empty bottle of scotch before settling back on the couch.

The door flew open, and Elena walked pass the threshold and into the house, the door closing behind her. Immediately a stench hit her, it was so strong it made her eyes burn. It smelled like something had died. Damon listened to Elena's squeaking Converse as she walked through the dark room. The harsh sound reached Damon's ears, it was excruciatingly loud; his head throbbed and if his headache wasn't bad enough the sunlight poured in, blinding him. "There…" She spun around on her heels. She found broken glass bottles, and blood bags scattered around Damon's feet.

"Judging by how this place looks, I take it Stefan isn't here?" Elena maneuvered her way into the kitchen found a trash bag and started filling it with Damon's discarded trash."So that's what you're here for, to beg Stefan to take you back? I could have sworn he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with you….Good luck finding him, he's nowhere near Mystic Falls.." She stopped picking up trash and looked directly into her ex lovers eyes. "So, where is he Damon?" Ocean blue eyes rolled heavenward as Damon got up to leave, Elena was irritating him. He made it halfway up the stairs before hearing her footsteps behind him. "You know where he is don't you?" He peeked over his shoulder at the brown eyed girl. "Stefan and Barbie doll went to spend the week with my ex girlfriend." Damon proceeded up the stairs to his room, with Elena in tow. The door slammed in her face before she could step foot in.

Bonnie had fallen asleep on her sofa, Caroline in a chair and Stefan on the floor. The last couple of days had been exhausting; they went see a Broadway show, visit the Museum of Modern Art and crashed someone's masquerade party in the Hamptons. Caroline had woken up first. She made her way to the bathroom to get dressed and brush away the distinct taste of blood and alcohol in her mouth. She emerged from the bathroom an hour later. Bonnie was still asleep. Stefan stood on the balcony overlooking the city, sipping on one of the blood bags they stole from a local hospital. He heard the door behind him open and close.

"What makes you so sure he's coming, Caroline?" She moved next to Stefan, slightly leaning over the balcony watching the people scurry on the sidewalk. "I just know, I have this gut feeling. He's coming." Caroline walked back into the house, Stefan followed behind her, draining the last drop of blood from the blood bad. Bonnie stood in the kitchen cooking herself something to eat.

"Morning Bon." "Hey Bonnie." Bonnie looked up from her skillet of eggs. "Morning Care, Stef." Caroline sat on the stool near the bar in her friends kitchen. Stefan strutted towards the couch, tripping over Bonnie's friend's chihuahua. Loud yelps of pain came from the little dog. "Damn Taco Bell dog!" "Did you just call the Chihuauha Taco Bell dog?" He stood watching the dog run around his feet in circles, with a look of disgust on his face. "Yeah in the 90's they had a Taco Bell commercial with the dog remember Yi quiero Taco Bell…" Caroline's facial expression told Stefan she had no recollection of what he was talking about. "Forget it." He huffed as he fell backwards on the couch, with the remote in his hand, turning on the TV and flipping thru the channels.

"So, what are we doing today?" The blonde girl asked as she lightly tapped her fingers on the bar. "Well, I have to run some errands for my boss and I don't know how long I'm going to be…so I guess it's just you And Stefan today." Bonnie grabbed her plate of food and took a seat next to Caroline, who looked disappointed. "We'll wait til you get back then we could go to another Broadway show, I really like those…" "Or…We can stay in this apartment and watch Bonnie's Netflix." Stefan stated, causally sitting up from his laying position. "Bon, are you ok?" Caroline noticed the Bonnie had stopped eating. She looked down at her food utterly disgusted by the taste. She shot up from her seat and ran to the bathroom.

After 10 minutes of puking out her insides Bonnie emerged from the bathroom. She dumped the rest of her unfinished food in the trash, put her plate in the dishwasher, grabbed her purse off the table and walked to the door. "I got to go, I'm gonna be late. I'll see you guys later." Bonnie walked down the hall to the elevator, Caroline caught up to her, before she entered the elevator. "Wait, Bonnie Renee Bennett are you…you know?" Caroline looks at Bonnie's stomach. "Pregnant?" Both of them entered the empty elevator. "I can hear the baby's heartbeat, you've been throwing up pretty much every time you eat and you have gained a little bit of weight since the last time I saw you. So, why didn't you tell me!?" Bonnie shrugged. "How many weeks are you?" "12." Caroline squealed like a little girl, while she hugged Bonnie, tightly. "I'm gonna be an aunt!" They exited the elevator and walked thru the lobby to the street outside. "Did you want to come with me to the doctor for an ultrasound?" "I thought you were running errands for your boss?" Bonnie let out a loud whistle, it caught the attention of a cab driver that was passing by causing him to pull over. "Umm, I kinda lied about that..." She opened the door to the cab and looked back at Caroline. "So, you coming or what?" "Of course I'm coming."

Damon stepped out the shower and immediately got dressed filled his duffel bag with clothes, at lightning speed. He tossed the bad over his shoulder and descended down the stairs. He found Elena still in his house, on his couch drinking his bourbon. She immediately stood when he passed right by her grabbing his car keys off the table. "I'm coming with you." "No. I'm going alone." She followed him outside, like a lost puppy right on his heels. "God Elena! Do you really not understand the meaning of no?" He spun around quickly, dropping his bag and facing her. "I'm only going because I want to talk to Stefan…and I have the address to Bonnie's apartment, I got it from Matt." She dangled the piece of paper in Damon's face. "You're still NOT coming!" "Yes, I AM Damon!" There was a brief second of silence as Damon and Elena stood face to face, but it was accompanied by a loud crack. Elena's body fell limp onto the ground. He picked up the paper and his bag, stepped over Elena's body and walked towards his Camaro. He typed Bonnie's address into his GPS and headed off to New York.
