A/N: I decided to go through and rewrite these chapters. I cleaned up some grammar and edited some mistakes! The chapters are still real short though. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Kyuubi Discovered!

When Uzumaki Naruto fell asleep a week before his tenth birthday, he did not expect to wake up in a sewer. He blinked sleepily and stood, absently noting that the water surrounding him didn't get him wet. It didn't exactly act like water either. He bent down and stuck his hand into it. It did feel like water. He also had no idea how he was walking on it. He shrugged and began walking.

"Who the hell is there!" A deep booming voice called out, and Naruto grinned, running toward the voice. He entered a large, pipe-filled room. He paused as he spotted a huge cage-like construct with a glowing red eye inside it. S the eye moved forward into the dim lighting, a large, red-orange fox appeared. Naruto's grin widened. He always had liked foxes for some reason.

"My name's Naruto! Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto, being the rather naive little nine-year-old he was, totally disregarded the fact that this was a giant fox he was talking to. "What's your name!" The fox raised a non-existent eyebrow and leaned forward, propping his jaw on one of his paws.

"I am the Kyuubi, the strongest of the nine Bijuu! I can crush you, puny human child, with barely a swipe from my claws!" Naruto's eyes widened in awe.

"That's so cool! You're so cool!" He gushed happily, squirming where he stood. The Kyuubi blinked. Was his jailor a complete nut-job or something? The Kyuubi frowned at the squealing human child. 'But,' He thought, a sharp-toothed grin forming, 'I can work with this...'

"Hey, kid," He called, and Naruto stopped his motions. "do you want to hear a secret?" Naruto nodded vigourously, taking a few steps forward. "Then come closer, and listen..." Naruto ran right up to the cage, and Kyuubi quelled the urge to lash out at him. "A long, long time ago, there was a man. He was called the Rikudou Sennin, and he divided up the mighty Ten-Tailed Monster into the Nine Bijuu. Many years after he did that, there was a cult, who formed a religion..."
