YAYSIES!

I whipped up this chapter in like, two days. It's a little shorter than the others, but whatevaaar~

Finally! Some BlueXRed! ((Whaaaaaaat? There's BlueXRed in this story?)) Yeah yeah, I'm sorry, I kinda ignored this couple, focusing on Vio and Shadow so much... Sowwrry...

So, Aryll's obviously way younger in this than in Wind Waker. Here she's probably like 2-4 years oldish. Kaia's just an OC.

Now to stop bothering you...

Enjoy!

I enjoy thinking.

Sometimes I think about myself in a fantasy world, fighting off gruelling monsters and enduring exceptionally dangerous quests as I scour the vast lands ruled by Goddesses and dragons alike, all with one final goal in mind, to save the beautiful princess who was kidnapped by an evil sorcerer... And for some reason whenever I think about stuff like that I always picture myself wearing a green tunic and a green hat... I'm not sure why... Anyway, I don't just always think about living in a fantasy world; I think about plenty of other stuff too. Sometimes they're philosophical thoughts and other times it's "I wonder what Mommy's making for dinner..." or school gossip.

Today it was school.

...Or more specifically, Blue.

Out of all the people I've met, he's the one I've been the most interested in, but whenever I tried to ask Vio or Green about him they always just gave me a plain answer like, "He's our school quarterback. That's really all you need to know Red." But... Why? That's it? Blue is just known as the school's good-looking quarterback? There's absolutely nothing else about him, his personality, his past, nothing? What about that day we had detention together when we laughed and joked around? That Blue seemed like there was more about him. The Blue I talked to that day... That's the Blue I was interested in... He had a stern look on his face, but he was quite witty and he had such a charming laugh and air about him. And though he mostly just poked fun at me... I really enjoyed that time with him...

No one seems to know that Blue though and I'm having trouble finding that Blue again myself. Now Blue barely even looks at me and I'm always the one doing the work during our Science labs because he's either A: asleep or B: half-asleep. Yeah... I've come to realize I like solo assignments better than group ones.

I noticed my feet started to drag across the cement side walk as I brought myself back into reality. Taking a small hop to recuperate, I tried to pick up my feet and start walking normally, though I think because I was thinking about my walking patterns so much I started walking really awkwardly and dorky.

Home was where I was walking to, from school that is. Everyday I took the same path, cutting through a little strip of rambunctious and lively stores and boutiques. It was a really cute strip! There was a beautiful bridal shop, a toy store, an adorable bakery, and my personal favourite, an ice cream parlour. It's called 'Sera's Summer Treats', though it's open all year, much to my convenience. I reached into my hoodie pocket, pulling out a single red rupee. That should be enough for small treat... Maybe I'll grab something. I thought to myself with a small smile on my face.

I absolutely loved the parlour. It had a cute retro theme to it, complete with a jukebox in the back corner of the store. The walls were bright red with white and black checkered pattern at the bottom and top. Behind the glass counter holding hundreds of different kinds of ice cream were the always joyful workers dressed in vertically striped outfits, fitting the retro theme as well. As my eyes scanned the frozen deliciousness, observing my choices, I heard a squeaky young voice which wasn't unusual to me, considering the ice cream parlour was very popular among children.

"Brohder, why are woo hiding your face?" The cute little girl asked loudly.

"Just s-shut up for a minute, okay Aryll?" I assumed her brother replied. I blantantly ignored it for a moment until I realized that I recognized her older brother's voice...

Blue...?

I quickly whipped around to scan the lively tables, taken by multiple families and friends. I scanned the room quickly, not seeing the boy I had secretly hoped to see, and was about to go back to ordering when...

"Who dat?" Aryll asked.

"Just a guy from my school Sweetie." Her older brother replied. No, that's definitely Blue... I thought, looking back again to see if I could spot him.

"Are woo enemies?" Aryll questioned. Where were they?

"Uh, no. Not really." Blue replied, just as I finally spotted him. At the very back booth, the boy covering his face, sitting beside with a little girl with two blonde pigtails a the sides of her head. I felt a natural smile arise on my face as I skipped towards them, deciding to say hello.

"Are woo friends?" Aryll asked, tilting her head.

"K-Kinda..." Blue mutters.

"Hiya Blue! What're you doing here?" I greet happily.

"Who dat?" Aryll demanded more than asked, pointing directly at me.

"Aryll. I told you that was rude." Blue lectured.

"Who dat?" Aryll asked again, ignoring Blue.

"Aryll! Remember what we practiced. What do we say when we want to know someone's name?" Blue inquired. Aryll sighed.

"Hwi, I'm Aryll. What's your name?" Aryll asked me politely.

"That's better." Blue commented with a small smile.

"Hello Aryll! I'm Red. Are you Blue's little sister?" I asked softly. Aryll nodded, looking between Blue and I until suddenly clapping her hands together.

"I know! Are you two lovey-dovey?" Aryll asked, immediately making Blue start coughing, suddenly choking.

"B-Blue! Are you okay?!" I inquired, panicking.

"Cough... I-I'm fine... Cough cough... O-One sec..." Blue insisted, still coughing. "O-Okay, I'm good, I'm good..." Blue mumbled. "Goddesses Aryll, don't say stuff like that!"

"Hm? Like what?" Aryll questioned, tilting her head. "That you two are lovey-dovey?"

Only then did I catch on...

"A-Ah! No! No! Not at all! We're just..." I stuttered, blushing from ear to ear.

"Acquaintances." Blue finished my sentence. I felt my heart sink a little. To Blue, we weren't even friends...

"What's 'accqantenfces'?" Aryll mumbled through the word. Blue smiled a soft smile.

"It basically means friends." Blue replied, making me slightly smile. Suddenly the front entrance swung open as a beautiful, elegant business-looking woman with long, curly blonde hair, bright green eyes, a beautiful elongated face and high cheekbones entered the parlour. She wore a bright red, shoulder-patted fashion jacket over a slicky black tank-top and a knee length bright red pencil skirt. Placing her phone back into her zebra-print purse, the extravagant woman started walking towards Blue and I. At the sound of her high heels clacking along the marble floor, Aryll turned her head to see, immediately bringing on a bright smile at the sight of the lady.

"Mommy!" Aryll exclaimed excitedly, jumping out of the booth and running into the arms of what I heard was her mother.

"Mommy...?" I muttered quietly to myself.

"Hey Darling! How was your ice cream?" Her mother asked kindly, lifting up the little girl.

"Too cold! Too cold! Gave meh brain freeze!" Aryll replied with a pout.

"Awh... Still yummy though, wasn't it?" Her mother smiled before turning to Blue, who was avoiding eye contact. "And how are you Blue?"

"Fine." Blue stated, keeping it short. "See you in two weeks."

"U-Um, who's this?" His mother tried to make conversation, gesturing towards me.

"Blue's lovey-dovey!" Aryll answered, making both Blue and I blush.

"O-Oh! Blue... I didn't know you were-"

"I'm not. Aryll, I told you we're just friends!" Blue half-heartedly glared at the young girl.

"U-Um, I'm Red. I know Blue from school." I greeted with a smile.

"Awh! You are just too adorable!" Aryll's mother exclaimed, pulling at my cheeks. I let out a nervous laugh.

"Okay, bye Kaia." Blue stated, rolling his eyes, obviously wanting what I assumed was his mother as well to leave. Kaia... Was that his Mother's name? Why does he call his mother by her first name?

"Well, I should be going. Say bye to Big Brother, Aryll!" Blue's mother waved goodbye, taking Aryll with her as she left. I glanced over to Blue who was holding his head in his hands, seemingly stressed.

"U-Um... Blue-"

"Hey, what's your favourite kind of ice cream?" Blue randomly asked, catching me off guard.

"U-Um... I-I don't know... It kinda changes everyday..." I stuttered. What kind of response is that?!

"What's it today?" Blue questioned, taking his head out of his hands, making eye contact with me.

"Uh... Cookie dough?" I replied, my face completely flushed for some reason. Blue let on a smile before standing up and walking towards the cashier. I quickly followed after.

"Hi... How may I be of your assistance?" The cashier asked unenthusiastically. I tilted my head, confused. I'd never seen her work here before, let alone anyone who didn't have a big cheesy smile on their face. This girl had two long pigtails at the sides of her head, brown eyes, and a small beauty mark by her nose. Questioning her look of immense boredom, I took a glance at her name tag. Peatrice...

"I'll take two scoops of cookie dough." Blue replied, pulling out his wallet.

"Wait a minute, didn't you just buy the largest cup of ice cream not even like, half an hour ago? Are you a fatty or something?" Peatrice commented, eyeing the booth Blue and Aryll were just sitting in.

"Shut the hell up and get me my damn ice cream Lady." Blue ordered, not having it. Peatrice rolled her eyes.

"The least you could do is say please." Peatrice stated, lazily taking a cup and starting to scoop the cookie cough ice cream into the cup. Once she came back she started clicking multiple buttons in the cash register. "Ten rupees."

Blue started to pull out two blue rupees when it finally caught onto me that the ice cream he was buying was for me. Ugh! I'm so slow!

"Wait Blue! I'll pay for it! I've got money." I insisted, pulling out the red rupee.

"No Red, I got this." Blue stated.

"No! I can't make you pay!" I whined.

"You're not making me if I want to." Blue smirked.

"Excuse me, if you could stop fighting over who's paying and just pay me so you can stop wasting my time, that be great." Peatrice rudely cut in.

"Maybe I'd feel bad about wasting your time if you weren't such an ass." Blue replied, sliding the two rupees along the glass counter towards Peatrice.

"...No tip?" Peatrice questioned, eyeing Blue disapprovingly.

"What do you think?" Blue replied.

"I get paid less than minimum wage." Peatrice commented.

"And I don't care." Blue rolled his eyes, taking the ice cream and handing it over to me as we walked back to the booth. "That was way harder than it had to be."

"Hahah... Yeah, I've never met anyone who works here we wasn't super nice and cheerful..." I commented.

"Maybe you should work here. You fit their criteria pretty well. Better than that crazy lady anyway..." Blue stated, sitting down across from me on the leather red booth.

"Actually that's a good idea... I wonder if they're hiring..." I mumbled more to myself than Blue, my eyes drifting towards the front counter.

"I'd get to see you more often if you did; Aryll and I come here every second Friday." Blue stated with a smile.

"Oh yeah... Why is that? Where is your mom taking her?" I questioned. "Er... If you don't mind me asking of course..."

"Um... It's a long story..."

"S-Sorry..."

"It's cool. A-Anyway, how's school treating you? You said you were home schooled before."

"Oh! You remembered!"

"Sure I did."

"Ah well... I mean, it's been exciting I suppose... I've made really good friends with Green and Vio. Other than that though my grades haven't gotten much better and there are already people starting rumours about me... I dunno..."

"Hahah, yeah. Hey, don't worry 'bout that whole 'kissing Shadow' thing. I know you didn't actually kiss him."

"Hm? You do?"

"Yeah. We were playing Spin the Bottle or something like that." Blue admitted. "Then Shadow made-out with you n' stuff before you ran off."

"It was Truth or Dare I think..." I stated solemnly. I had mixed feelings about Blue remembering. On one hand, it was nice to know that someone witnessed the truth, but on the other it hurt to know that Blue wouldn't stand up for me. But then again, we're just acquaintances, not friends...

"Yeah... School isn't fun, that's for sure."

"It's definitely different... I mean, I saw in shows and movies all these school stereotypes, but I didn't think they were real... I can't get over all the 'cliques' and 'leaders of the school'."

"Most high schools aren't as bad as ours though."

"I guess... It must be easy for you though, considering you're the star quarterback."

"Eh, yes and no. Sometimes keeping up a stupid reputation is like leading a double life, y'know? Like the way I get to talk to you or Aryll... I'd could never be that way in school, quarterback or not. One wrong statement and the entire school hates you. That's what it feels like."

"R-Really? I never would've guessed. People like Shadow seem pretty comfortable being themselves though..."

"That's true. Shadow can do whatever he wants and still be popular. Everyone thinks he's 'soooooo hot~' and 'oh my goddesses, he's so charming~' but when you really take a few moments to observe him, he's really just a dork."

"You think? I think Shadow's pretty cool though... I mean, with his purple hair and his awesome clothes!"

"See? It all comes down to his looks. That's the only thing he's popular for. He doesn't even play any sports. He couldn't run half of the track if you asked him."

"There must be something he's good at..."

"Other than attracting ditzy girls, I can't think of anything." Blue rolls his eyes. "Hey, I'm going to start heading back. Where do you live?"

"Hm? O-Oh, near Shadow's place actually. Like, five or six houses down the street." I replied, gathering my things as I started to start up from the booth.

"I see. I'm the opposite direction." Blue stated, cleaning up his and Aryll's garbage. "Um... So, I guess I'll see you later then? Monday?"

"W-Well, if you're not busy hanging out with the popular kids." I joked, picking up my ice cream cup.

"Maybe I can make some time for you." Blue replied with a charming smile that make my heart skip a beat. I can't imagine my face... I must've looked like such a dork...

Blue and I walked out the parlour, the clanging bell sounding as the door opened and closed. I jolted my backpack further up on my shoulders as Blue shoved his hands into his jeans pockets. We both started walking in opposite without a word when Blue called out to me, making me stop in my tracks.

"Hey! New Kid!" Blue called out as I looked over my shoulder with a questioning look on my face. "Next time, you're buying me ice cream!"

I let on a large smile before shouting back.

"It's a promise!"

CUTEEEEEEE! ^.^

It's nice finally writing this side of Blue's dialogue. Obviously it's much more fun than writing his, "I'm-The-Mean-Blue-Who-Shoves-People-Into-Lockers-For-Walking-In-The-Hallway" :P

If you're not busy, I highly recommend reading my other FanFiction, "LoZ Total Drama Island!" Where various Zelda characters are forced to live on a small island together competing in vigorous challenges created and hosted by the wonderfully sadistic Shadow McKennon!

And if you're looking for something a bit darker, I just started a story on FictionPress about group of Zombie Apocalypse survivors starting a revolution against the people who saved them. You should take a look, just sayin'~

Hope you enjoyed this fluffy chapter! Leave a review even if it's short, long, medium, has nothing to do with the story, has everything to do with the story, includes criticism, excludes criticism, or if you just want to tell me about your dog or cat or pet dragon. Let me know. I mean, if you have a pet dragon, I want to know what it's like to have one :)

Okaaaaaaiii byeeeeeeeeee!

Lots of hugs!
