Chapter 2

Road of Despair

I never felt so helpless, I could only watch in horror as this nightmarish lord approached my immobilized body, I desperately tried to invoke my elemental powers but the bat creature's grip was overwhelming, putting such a toll on me I was unable to struggle.

"Pathetic" said Dark Lord Ariakas as he wrapped his fingers around my soft, cute head, his touch cold as death itself, his fingers covered in rugged bluish dark plate armor, ornamented with jewels and with a triforce symbol as decoration. He exposed a crooked smile at me, his lips, if you could call those things lips, contorted slightly to the side of his disfigured face, and he loudly casted some more unknown words.

Before I could think of anything I completely lost air, he crudely struck my exposed belly with his armored knee, I was wearing a beautiful stylish dress which had a small triangular hole on the bottom to expose my midriff, and had triforce symbols as decoration, so the hit was clean and direct, it drowned my voice and made me experiment and unfair, unbearable pain, he then walked to Link and grabbing him by the throat, he dragged him closer to me.

"Jenna!" Link inquired with love in the tone of his heroic voice; despise him having little to no air as Ariakas was moving him around by the throat.

"You will watch" said Ariakas letting out a immodest, gross cough, he then told something to the bat creature and they both walked towards what looked like a dungeon, dragging us around unceremoniously, at this moment I started to notice something odd, something rather queer, but I couldn't describe what it was, I simply felt something was off, "something was not supposed to be".

As we reached the dungeon, I noticed it a section that was built like an small arena, at the end of the wall was a cage, with darkness blocking nay possibility to examine what was inside, the bat creature tossed me violently inside that circle, and he walked in himself, shrieking as if he was letting me know, I wasn't going to be allowed to escape, I cursed my wounds, cursed my weakened body, this situation wasn't fair, nobody has the right to do this to me.

Meanwhile I noticed Ariakas chaining link up against one of the wall of the dungeon, facing the arena, as to making him watch me, then the dark lord started speaking something to him, almost gluing his disgusting face to him, I couldn't understand what he was saying but I could hear some horrified, desperate grunts from Link.

The bat creature took two steps forward to me, threateningly, to the point I instinctively retreated backwards, getting closer to the cage in the wall, but stopped when suddenly I heard a something nasty, I turned my head around for a second and I saw it, something big was crawling out of the cage, what looked like a dragon slowly revealed itself to look more like a shapeless blub, an abomination so unnerving it made the bat creature look cuddly in comparison. This… thing was reeking of death, quite literally, it's putrid smell rapidly flooding the air, that's when I noticed I was cornered, Ariakas still whispering something to Link, and for Link himself, he was crying, as I was getting pinned by both hellish creatures I was trying to think of a way to fight back or flee, but there was simply nothing I could do, my body was too tired too weak, my demise was getting closer, and closer by the second. I wanted to cry.

That was until Ariakas spoke, he shouted a loud, short lived syllable, and as he did the bat creature charged at me at an uncanny speed, taking me away from the other monster as it retreated back to its cage letting out what sounded like moans of agony.

Shortly afterwards they tied our hands with something I could only describe as a rope made out of magic, it was putting an immense, painful amount of pressure on my arms, and I could feel as if the object itself was suppressing my very soul, they locked me inside a small room, it was half a meter wide and barely my own height as tall, it had big spikey objects all over the place, forcing me to stay standing while the top of my head was having unwanted contact with the cold, dirty roof, then left me, I had no idea what they planned to do with Link, as for Link himself, he was still with tears in his beautiful green-pinkish eyes, and he not only refused to say a word to me but couldn't even look at me in the eye.

As they departed so did any light and any sound, the only thing I could hear was my heavy breathing, no mention the amount of pain and discomfort I was feeling at that moment, I felt as if I lost myself, my mind only focused in escaping, my only wish was that, to get away from this place, no time for regrets, no time for worries, it was a much simpler mindset the one I had back then, I needed to get away.

But for what felt like hours, if not days such was not my luck, I thought I was going to be left there alone, I for a moment even thought that was the end of me, but the door finally opened again, I saw three guards dressing in black armor, and what seemed to be Link, with some sort of bag in his handsome face, then the bat creature placed one of those bags in my own head, blocking my vision as well as my voice, and the next thing I remember, I was being pushed around, walking at an unknown direction, until they let us inside some sort of vehicle, and I could hear us departing, as the familiar sound the horses make when they move made me realize we were being transported somewhere.
