Ash's Pokemon Journey

Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user. I do not own pokemon.

Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.

Chapter 154

The Johto Festival,

The Lilypad Contest

And The Tag Battle

Today had come to a village. They were all hungry and were just about to go get something to eat, but then they noticed something. A Marill was stuck between two houses. Pikachu, Growlithe and Piplup pulled Marill out at once. "Hey Marill are you okay?" asked Ash. Marill wasn't hurt and it was happy to be free again. Dawn looked at Marill on her pokedex and thought it was a very cute pokemon.

Suddenly a girl wearing a white cap with a red ribbon ran up. "There you," she said to Marill "and how did you get here?" "Is Marill yours?" asked Dawn. "Yes, but it keeps on wondering off" said the girl. She returned Marill to its pokeball and introduced herself as Lyra. The gang also introduced themselves. Lyra liked Piplup and scanned him on a pink and white pokedex. "Nice pokedex" said Dawn. "Thanks this is one of the newest model of pokedex in the Johto region" said Lyra. "Wait are you from Johto?" asked Ash. "Yes, have you heard of it?" asked Lyra. "Brock, Tomo and I travelled through the Johto region a couple of years ago" answered Ash. "Wow, then you lot should come with me," said Lyra "I have something cool to show you".

The cool something was a small festival was being held in the village. "This is the Johto festival;" said Lyra "the people who are running the festival, including me, have been traveling everywhere to help promote the Johto region". "Nice" said Ash. Suddenly a ring tone was heard and Lyra took out a gadget from her pocket. "Hey a pokegear" said Ash, remembering the pokegears back in Johto. Lyra answered her pokegear and a boy on the phone spoke up, saying they needed Lyra back. "I'll be right there" said Lyra. Just then a big tv screen and a commercial featuring Lyra was on. Lyra showed off a commercial of the Johto region with shots of Ecruteak City, Goldenrod City, Olivine City and Blackthorn City. "That does bring back memories" smiled Ash, who was watching the commercial.

Lyra led the gang to a stall what she was working with. At the stall was a man and a boy who wore glasses and they were selling things from Johto as Moomoo milk, apricorns, berry pots, rage candy bars and apriblenders. "Oooh moomoo milk" said Tomo, who loved the stuff a lot. He brought some right away. "You like moomoo milk young man?" asked the man. "I do," answered Tomo "I also like the cheese, ice cream and other thinks you make with moomoo milk". "Well then have this as well" said the man. He produced some ice cream, make from the moomoo milk. Tomo had some ice cream at once and so did Ash, Dawn and Brock. The boy introduced himself as Khoury and the man was his dad. Lyra explained Khoury's dad was the one in charge of the festival.

Dawn noticed a Totodile sitting behind the stall and looked at it on her pokedex. It belonged to Khoury. Piplup wanted to say hello, but Totodile was distant. "Sorry my Totodile is always like that," said Khoury "and it won't eat any of the food I make for it". Brock tasted some of the food and saw it was a bit too sweet. "Do you have any chesto berries?" he asked Khoury. "Yes I do" said Khoury, presenting a basket of chesto berries. Brock crushed a few chesto berries into powder and sprinkled it onto Totodile's food. Totodile ate the food up at once because it tasted better with the chesto berries; the berries made the food less sweeter. Khoury was amazed by this. "I'm studying to become a pokemon doctor, so I know a lot about pokemon breeding, so I'll give some pokemon food recipes I know" said Brock. "Thank you" said Khoury. "Did you get Totodile from Prof Elm Khoury?" asked Ash. "Yes I did, do you know Prof Elm?" said Khoury. "Yes, Brock, Tomo and I met him when we went to the Johto region about 3 years ago" said Ash. "Really?" said Lyra.

Before Ash could say anything else Totodile spoke up. "I think Totodile is reminding you of the show that's about to start" said Khoury. "Oh I nearly forgot about that" said Lyra. Lyra was putting on an expedition about Johto region pokemon. She introduced herself to everyone at the festival and said she was from New Bark Town in Johto. The big TV screen showed images of a Chikorita, a Cyndaquil and a Totodile, and Lyra explained about them being the starter pokemon you get in Johto. Next Lyra tossed a pokemon and out came a Chikorita; it was hers. Dawn looked at Chikorita on her pokedex. "No doubt Lyra chose Chikorita as her starting pokemon" said Brock. Suddenly Lyra pointed to Dawn and asked her to battle her and Chikorita. The reason was as Lyra knew that Piplup was a Sinnoh starter pokemon. Lyra thought it would be perfect to hold a battle between a Johto starter pokemon and a Sinnoh starter pokemon for the show. Dawn was surprised but went up onto the stage. Lyra told Dawn that if she won the battle she would get a fabulous prize. Dawn liked the sound of prize and she and Piplup agreed to battle at once. Khoury's dad became the referee.

Lyra started the battle by telling Chikorita to use razor leaf. Piplup got hit by the leaves, but he wasn't beaten yet. "Piplup use ice beam" said Dawn. Piplup fired an ice beam attack; he learnt it from Empoleon. "Chikorita use light screen" said Lyra. Light screen was a move that cuts an opponent's attack in half, so Chikorita didn't get a lot of damage thanks to light screen. "Alright Piplup use aerial ace quick" said Dawn. Piplup charged at Chikorita with aerial ace and this time Chikorita got real damage from the attack. "Piplup's flying type moves has a huge advantage over Chikorita" said Khoury. Dawn then told Piplup to use ice beam again, but Chikorita used light screen to protect itself again. "Quick use peck" said Dawn. Piplup charged with peck, which broke the light screen attack and hit Chikorita very hard. Poor Chikorita fainted with defeat. "Chikorita is unable to battle," said Khoury's dad "therefore the winner is Dawn and her Piplup".

So Dawn won the battle and the audience clapped and cheered for victory. Dawn was happy and thanked Piplup at once. Lyra returned Chikorita and walked up to Dawn. "Wow Dawn you really caught me off guard in our battle," said Lyra "I found light screen wasn't enough against your Piplup". "You and Chikorita were great too" said Dawn. Lyra presented a gift wrapped box to Dawn; this was the prize. "Open it and see what you've got" said Lyra. Dawn took of the cover and revealed that the prize was a pokemon egg in a container. "Oh wow" said Dawn, happy to see she was getting a new pokemon. "You will have to wait and see what the egg hatches into" said Lyra. Tomo looked at the egg; it was a dark green colour with red spots. He whispered to Ash. "I think that's a Cyndaquil egg" he said. "So do I, but let's not tell Dawn or it will ruin the surprise for her" whispered Ash.

After the battle show was over Lyra had a talk with Ash, Dawn and Tomo, while Khoury had a talk with Brock. As Brock knew a lot about pokemon breeding Khoury wanted to learn a lot from Brock because he wanted to become a pokemon breeder too. Lyra was telling Ash and Dawn she was travelling around Johto to enter the Johto league. She even showed them her two gym badges; the hive badge and the zephyr badge. "Wow seeing those bring back memories;" said Ash "I've got all eight gym badges and entered the Johto league myself. I didn't win it but it was still fun. Now I'm collecting eight gym badges here in Sinnoh to enter the Sinnoh league. I'm also collecting contest ribbons to enter the grand festival". "Grand festival?" said Lyra. Dawn explained to Lyra about pokemon contests, contest ribbons and that she Ash were entering them. Ash showed Lyra his seven badges, four frontier plaques and three ribbons, and Dawn showed off her four ribbons. Tomo also showed off his badges to Lyra. "Wow you lot have done so much, especially you Ash competing in three things;" said Lyra "I've heard about battle frontiers, but never heard about anyone battling them". "Right now we are on the way to Lilypad Town for the next pokemon contest" said Dawn.

It was then Lyra asked Khoury's dad if she could travel with the gang to Lilypad Town to see the pokemon contest; she wanted to see what they were like. Khoury asked his dad if he could go too because he wanted to learn a lot from Brock and see what the pokemon contest is like as well. Khoury's dad saw nothing wrong with that; the Johto festival was going to continue on for a few more couple of days. So Lyra and Khoury were free to join the gang.

Suddenly the egg glowed; it was time for the hatching. Dawn took the container off and everyone watched as a baby Cyndaquil hatched out from the egg. "A Cyndaquil" said Dawn, with joy. "Our guess was right" Tomo whispered to Ash. Dawn picked up Cyndaquil into her arms. "Hi Cyndaquil," said Dawn "I'm your trainer Dawn". Cyndaquil sprouted out flames from its back, due to being happy, and poor Dawn's hair got into a mess.

So Dawn had a new pokemon on her team, and the gang had two new friends to join them on their journey to Lilypad Town.

Many things happened ever since Lyra and Khoury joined the group to watch the Lilypad contest. Lyra and Khoury listened to lots of stories from Ash, Brock and Tomo about when they went to Johto. Khoury ended up learning a lot about pokemon breeding from Brock. Lyra revealed that she also had a Girafarig on her team. Later on Khoury caught a wild Gible for himself. During their time together Lyra couldn't help but think that Ash was an incredible trainer and wondered if Dawn liked him. But Dawn revealed to her about Ash's girlfriend Anabel, so Lyra couldn't play matchmaker between Ash and Dawn.

The biggest thing that happened was Dawn getting to know her new Cyndaquil. Even though it only just hatched, Cyndaquil already had the moves smokescreen, swift, flame wheel and tackle and the egg move fury swipes. Unfortunately Piplup and Cyndaquil didn't get along that well. As Cyndaquil was brand new to her team, Dawn gave Cyndaquil a lot of attention and that made Piplup jealous. Piplup was obviously a spoiled pokemon who liked getting all the attention and hated it when another pokemon did. So Cyndaquil and Piplup fought like crazy nearly all the time, which of course made Dawn cross at them. She even had to tell them that if they didn't behave they would have a long time out at Prof Rowan's lab, which the pokemon didn't want at all especially Piplup.

And now today was the day of the Lilypad Contest. Ash and Dawn were having a practice with the pokemon they were going to enter. Ash was going to use Metagross and Arcanine, while Dawn was going to use Chatot and Mamoswine. Right now Dawn was trying something out with what Grotle did back at the Twinleaf Festival; swallowing a move and gain energy from it. Dawn had Mamoswine use ice shard and swallow it. After Mamoswine swallowed the ice back his back was covered with ice. "What do you think of that Ash?" asked Dawn. "With that ice armor on its back, Mamoswine looks like an ice warrior" laughed Ash. "You're right" smiled Dawn. Lyra and Khoury were impressed with what just happened and Brock explained how Grotle learnt that move by accident.

Cyndaquil wanted to be in the contest too and he released flames on his back to show off. But Dawn told Cyndaquil that she would be using Chatot and Mamoswine for the contest. Being a baby, Cyndaquil was upset for not being in the contest because was interested in it. Dawn picked up Cyndaquil, gave him a hug and said he could watch the contest and cheer everyone else on for support. Piplup, of course, wasn't happy that Cyndaquil was getting a hug from Dawn. But he remembered Dawn telling him if he wasn't nice to Cyndaquil he'll get a time out in the pokeball, so Piplup just stayed quiet.

Pretty soon it was time for the Lilypad Contest. Marian gave the usual introductions and she showed off the Lilypad ribbon. The Lilypad ribbon had a big pin with pink and white ribbons. Ash and Dawn were waiting in the waiting room. Dawn had her contest dress the same way it was at the Hearthome contest and her hair had little swirls at the side. Ash was wearing a white naval uniform, with gold buttons and some small gold rope at the side, navy blue and gold stripped cuffs, a navy blue and white cap, black boots and belt and white gloves. (This is based a white naval uniform shown in the anime free)

Lyra, Khoury, Tomo and Brock came into the waiting room to wish Ash and Dawn luck. "Wow Dawn you look so pretty and Ash you look so handsome" said Lyra. "Thanks very much" said Ash. "Thank you Lyra" smiled Dawn. "I can't wait to see you two out there on the stage" said Lyra. "Well I know that I will win my fifth ribbon today" said Dawn. "Don't count me out Dawn," said Ash "I plan to get my fourth ribbon here".

It was soon time for the contest to start. Lyra, Khoury, Tomo and Brock were now in the seats. The appeal came to a start and Dawn was up first. She released Chatot with a yellow party seal. "Chatot use aerial ace" said Dawn. Chatot used aerial ace while the party seal was still about and created a flashy opening. "Hey that's what Dawn's mum did back at Twinleaf Town" said Tomo. "She must have decided to follow one of Johanna's moves" said Brock. "Okay Chatot now use feather dance" said Dawn. Chatot did a little dance while releasing feathers from his wings. "Now use air cutter" said Dawn. Chatot's air cutter attack broke the feathers apart, creating feathery snow. Chatot finished with a bow.

Lyra and Khoury were learning so much about pokemon contests. The gang had explained to them about contests before, but seeing a real one in person helped them understand better. The other contestants went after Dawn and soon it was finally Ash's turn. He released Metagross on the stage with an electric seal. The audience were in awe when they saw the shiny Metagross. "Metagross use magnet rise" said Ash. Metagross used magnet rise to lift him-self up into the air. "Now use rock slide" said Ash. Metagross made a lot of rocks appear and then used meteor mash to break the rocks to pieces. To finish it off Metagross gave off a flash attack.

After the appeal round was over Tomo, Brock, Lyra and Khoury went to see Ash and Dawn in the waiting room. Lyra thought Chatot and Metagross were really great during the appeal rounds and she started to think that pokemon contests were fun to watch. The results soon came up and both Ash and Dawn made it into the second round. "Congratulations" Khoury said to both Ash and Dawn. "Now it's time for Mamoswine to shine" said Dawn. "So it's finally time for Mamoswine's stage debut" said Ash, remembering how Dawn wanted to enter Mamoswine in a contest before, but she couldn't because of his disobedience. "But as Ash is using Arcanine in the second round Mamoswine will have it tough" said Tomo. "No need to worry," replied Dawn "we are good and ready no matter what".

It was soon time for the battle round and Tomo, Brock, Lyra and Khoury were back in the seats. Dawn was up first and she was facing a coordinator named Mario. Dawn released Mamoswine, with a smoke seal, while Mario released a Granbull. Mario started by telling Granbull to use fire fang. "Dodge it and use ice shard" said Dawn. Mamoswine dodged the attack and created an ice shard. It was time for the special trick; Mamoswine ate the ice shard and the ice armor came on his back. The judges and audience were very impressed by this tactic; it was something none of them had seen before. "Alright Mamoswine use hidden power" said Dawn. Mamoswine's hidden power orbs circled around Mamoswine and made the ice armor sparkle beautifully like crystals. Then Mamoswine charged towards Granbull with take down. Mario told Granbull to dodge at once, but Mamoswine tackled Granbull before it had a chance to dodge and Granbull was knocked out at once. Dawn won the battle at once.

Dawn felt a bit depressed because of how she won the battle so easily. "Don't forget Dawn," said Ash "Mamoswine is stronger than it normally is when it's got the ice armor on its back. Just like how Grotle gets stronger than normal when he eats the energy ball". "Yes you're right" sighed Dawn. Truth is she really wanted to do more things with Mamoswine during the battle. So she decided to make the next round flashier. Ash defeated his opponent with Arcanine and the other battles went on. Then it was time for Ash and Dawn to face each other in the semi-finals. "Oh wow Ash and Dawn are up against each other" said Lyra. "I don't know who to root for, Ash or Dawn?" said Khoury. "Well one can never tell who will win over the other, all we can do is see what happens" said Brock. Ash sent out Arcanine with a firey seal while Dawn sent out Mamoswine with a smoke seal again.

Dawn started off by telling Mamoswine to use ice shard; they did the ice armor trick again. 'I thought they would do this again' thought Ash. Dawn commanded Mamoswine to use super power. "Dodge it and use flamethrower on the ice" Ash said to Arcanine. Arcanine jumped to dodge Mamoswine and then fired flamethrower onto Mamoswine's back. Not only did Mamoswine get some damage, the ice on his back melted. "Woah the ice armor is gone" said Khoury. "That Ash for you;" said Brock "he always finds a way to overcome obstacles". "He is amazing" said Lyra, impressed with Ash's moves. Mamoswine wasn't happy with what Arcanine did though and he started snorting angrily. "Calm down Mamoswine and use mud bomb" said Dawn. Mamoswine did fire a mud bomb attack, but Arcanine used the fiery counter shield to counter the mud bomb attack and hit Mamoswine. The judges and audience liked the counter shield technique. Mamoswine got really cross now and charged at Arcanine with take down, but Arcanine jumped out of the way. Mamoswine got more and more upset and Ash noticed it. Dawn tried to get Mamoswine to calm down and listen to her but it was no use; Mamoswine was so cross and stubborn right now there was nothing she could do to stop him. Mamoswine used a variety of attacks like hidden power, ancient power and mud bomb. But Arcanine kept on using the counter shield to counter the attacks. Then Mamoswine charged with take down and Arcanine charged with flame wheel, making the two big pokemon charge into each other.

Just then time was up. The results were, due to Mamoswine's disobedience, Ash with a lot more points than Dawn. So Ash was the winner. Dawn was disappointed with not earning her fifth ribbon again, but he smiled at Ash wishing him with congratulations. Ash happily stroked Arcanine for the win and then he looked at Dawn. "I think Mamoswine needs some time out at Prof Rowan's lab for a bit, after what happened today" he said to her. "You're right" said Dawn. Mamoswine felt very ashamed with himself for what happened and for making Dawn lose. "Cheer up Mamoswine," said Dawn "there's still the next pokemon contest and that time we'll be better". Mamoswine still felt guilty with himself.

Ash went on into the finals and Arcanine defeated the opponent's pokemon, which was a Tyrogue. Therefore Ash became the winner of the Lilypad contest and the Lilypad ribbon. So now Ash had four ribbons and only needed one more like Dawn does.

Lyra felt sorry for Dawn for losing the contest and pointed out she should have used another pokemon instead of Mamoswine. "Well it is true that Mamoswine kind of blew it for us," Dawn admitted "but still I had to give Mamoswine a chance. Ash, Brock and Tomo once told me that every pokemon you have deserves a chance to shine. So Mamoswine and I will work hard together and next time we will win the next contest together". "Wow Dawn," said Lyra "you lost this battle and you are still stoked". "Well that is because I have my friends and my pokemon by my side to help me get back up when I'm down," said Dawn "and it has been like that ever since we first met". Lyra and Khoury agreed that it was nice to have friends by side no matter what happens.

So the Lilypad contest was over but there was still more to come.

Outside of Lilypad Town there stood some ancient ruins called the Colosseum ruins. Story has it in ancient times pokemon champions used to train and work with their pokemon in the colosseum. There was even a battlefield in the colosseum where the trainers could practice battling.

Today was Lyra and Khoury's last day in Sinnoh. The Johto festival Khoury's dad had been working with had come to an end, and they had to go back to Johto later tonight. For the last day in Sinnoh, the group had decided to visit the colosseum ruins. Lyra had an idea to have a pokemon battle there; that way she could train for her next gym badge in Johto. "I know let's have a tag battle," said Lyra "Khoury you and I can battle together". "Good idea and Dawn and I will battle you" said Ash. "Hold on a second;" said Brock "we need to pay our respects first".

In the colosseum stood a statue of Dialga and a statue of Palkia; they were for worshiping the two legendary pokemon. "There's no statue of Giratina here though" said Tomo. "Well we were told there is no shrine dedicated to Giratina anywhere" said Ash. "Who is Giratina?" asked Khoury. The gang explained about Dialga, Palkia and Giratina to Khoury and Lyra. "Wow the Sinnoh region has incredible legendary pokemon" said Lyra. "Johto does as well" smiled Ash. "I have to say," said Lyra "being with all of you had made me decide. When I get back to Johto I want to go on a journey with a really good friend of mine". "That's a great idea;" said Ash "you and your friend will learn a lot from each other, cheer each other on with whatever is you're doing and get stronger together". "I agree" said Dawn; she understood because of how much she learnt from Ash, Tomo and Brock.

After paying the respects to Dialga and Palkia Ash, Dawn, Lyra and Khoury took their places on the battlefield. Brock, who was to be the referee, stood at the side and Tomo stood next to him. Ash and Dawn released Cyndaquil and Monferno and Lyra and Khoury released Chikorita and Totodile. Everyone knew Chikorita was a disadvantage against Monferno and Cyndaquil, but Lyra believed in Chikorita and didn't make up her mind.

Ash and Dawn started off by telling Monferno and Cyndaquil to use flamethrower and swift. "Chikorita use light screen" said Lyra. Chikorita got in front of Totodile and use light screen. Thanks to light screen the two pokemon hardly got any damage. Khoury moved in next by telling Totodile to use water gun on Monferno, and Monferno got hit by the water gun. "You okay Monferno?" asked Ash. Monferno was hurt but still okay. Dawn told Cyndaquil to use swift again, but again Chikorita used light screen to prevent swift from doing a lot of damage. Light screen was the reason why Lyra wanted to use Chikorita. Lyra stepped in and told Chikorita to use razor leaf, and Cyndaquil got hit by the leaves. Khoury then told Totodile to use aqua tail and Cyndaquil was hit by the attack too. As Cyndaquil was still a baby and not used to battles yet, it was getting upset by this. Lyra decided it would be best to aim for Cyndauil as it was the weakest, and told Chikorita to use solar beam. Khoury ordered Totodile to use bite. "Get in and help Cyndaquil Monferno" said Ash. Monferno ran over to Cyndaquil and picked it up. "Cyndaquil use smokescreen" said Dawn. Cyndaquil released a smokescreen attack and the smoke made it hard for Totodile to see Monferno and Cyndaquil. But then Chikorita released a solar beam attack and it broke the smokescreen apart. "Use dig Monferno" said Ash. Monferno used dig to help he and Cyndaquil dodge the attack. Then Monferno came out of the ground and punched Totodile hard. Totodile ended up crashing into Chikorita after getting punched. "Monferno use fire punch on Chikorita" said Ash. Poor Chikorita got hurt badly from the fire punch. "Cyndaquil use swift on Totodile" said Dawn. Totodile was hit by the stars and took a lot of damage. Khoury was getting worried for the pokemon, but Lyra reminded him they could win as long as they believed in the pokemon. "Get up Chikorita, you can do it" said Lyra. Thanks to Lyra's encouragement, Chikorita got back up and still okay to fight. Khoury saw that Lyra was right. "I believe in you too Totodile" he said. Totodile got back up thanks to Khoury's encouragement.

Suddenly Totodile glowed and evolved into Croconaw. Khoury couldn't believe his eyes. Lyra looked at Croconaw on her pokedex, while Khoury saw on his pokedex that Croconaw now knew hydro pump. "Croconaw use hydro pump" said Khoury. Croconaw fired a hydro pump and Monferno and Cyndaquil got hit by the attack. "Croconaw is a lot stronger after evolving from Totodile" said Dawn. "True but we aren't beaten yet" said Ash. This was true because Monferno and Cyndaquil were not defeated yet. "Chikorita use tackle on Cyndaquil" said Lyra. Chikorita charged to use tackle. "Cyndaquil use flame wheel on Chikorita" said Dawn. "Monferno use flamethrower to back Cyndaquil up" said Ash. As Cyndaquil used flame wheel, Monferno's flamethrower gave Cyndaquil a boost to charge into Chikorita quickly. Chikorita got hit badly by the flame wheel and fainted. Khoury moved in by telling Croconaw to use aqua tail on Cyndaquil, but Cyndaquil dodged the attack. Then Ash stepped in and told Monferno to use thunder punch. Poor Croconaw got punched hard by Monferno and fainted on defeat. Ash and Dawn were the winners.

Khoury and Lyra ran over to their pokemon to see if they were okay and they were. Ash and Dawn gave their pokemon a hug for a job well done. After that the group talked about the battle. Khoury thought using Chikorita's light screen was a great strategy. But Lyra said it wasn't enough against Ash who had 7 badges, 4 ribbons and 4 frontier plaques. Ash thought Totodile evolving into Croconaw was a real surprise. Brock pointed out that Lyra and Khoury worked great together like Ash and Dawn did. "I think Lyra will make a great pokemon trainer while Khoury will make a great pokemon breeder," said Brock "as long as you two remember to continue working together". Just then Khoury's pokegear ran and his dad told Khoury he was at the airport. It made Khoury remember they needed to get to the airport now or they would miss their flight to Johto. "We need to go now" said Lyra.

Khoury's dad was waiting at the airport, where a blimp was getting ready for Johto. Just then the group turned up right on time. Khoury thanked Brock for teaching him a lot and promised he would learn more about pokemon back in Johto. Just then Lyra told Khoury that she wished to go on a journey with him; their tag battle made Lyra realise that she and Khoury could really learn a lot together. Khoury was surprised and accepted to be Lyra's travelling partner at once; he too thought he and Lyra would be a great team together. The gang also agreed that Lyra and Khoury would do great together. "Lyra I wish you luck on getting more Johto badges;" said Ash "I warn you though the other gym leaders are strong". "Thank you Ash, I will do my best no matter what. I wish you luck Ash and Tomo on getting your 8th gym badges and good luck on getting your fifth ribbon too Ash. Same to you Dawn". "I will get my fifth ribbon and enter the grand festival" said Dawn, confidently. "Same here," said Ash "and Tomo and I will win our badges at the Sunnyshore Gym and enter the Sinnoh League". "Yeah" said Tomo. Khoury's dad was grateful to Brock for helping Khoury and gave him a blue and white pokegear as a thank you gift. Brock was happy and grateful to have his own pokegear. "Brock can I contact you if I ever need help or advice?" asked Khoury. "Of course, you can call me anytime" answered Brock.

Soon Khoury, his dad and Lyra were on the blimp to Johto, and the gang waved to them till the blimp was far away from them. So with the small journey with Khoury and Lyra over, the gang could now continue on their way to Sunnyshore City.

Sorry for the wait. I hope everyone likes how I dealt with the Lilypad Contest and everything else. Ash should have told Lyra and Khoury about his journey in Johto in the anime. I still say Dawn was still soft with her pokemon especially when Piplup acted like a big baby when Cyndaquil got all the attention, and with Mamoswine too when he got all bad tempered during the contest. Remember everyone I'm going to have Ash win his last ribbon in the pokemon contest that Johanna judged.
