"Huh? Midorima-kun is not coming?"

That was one fine Sunday noon, one would say. The sun was not too bright, but it was not too cloudy either. Perfect moment to spend outside. However, this did not hinder some certain students from Teiko middle's will to play basketball inside. They played happily in the fourth auditorium of Teiko Basketball Club.

The children enjoyed playing basketball in their claimed favorite place. After all, that was the only place they could meet their favorite ghost—yes, you read it right—Kuroko Tetsuya.

No one would really believe that, but Kuroko Tetsuya really wasn't a human. He was a spirit that had resided the fourth auditorium of Teiko Middle School Basketball Club(1). He used to play basketball by himself since, for unknown reason, he could not leave the auditorium, the place where he had commited suicide at back in ten years ago, and he could not touch anything besides basketballs. Thus, the said auditorium was known to be haunted.

Well, he used to. Until he met six freshmen of Teiko Middle School.

Consisting of Akashi Seijuurou, Murasakibara Atsushi, Aomine Daiki, Momoi Satsuki, Midorima Shintaro and Kise Ryouta. Just like any other normal people, they used to fear the ghost. Their first encounter with the ghost was not really nice either. But as the time passed, they got to know him more. Every day, they would visit him and play with him, preventing the bluenet to feel lonely.

However, this time, one of the children had gone missing.

"Midorima-kun is sick. His mother told me he'll be taking a day off tomorrow," Momoi said. She was sitting on the bench beside Murasakibara who practically devoured all his snacks.

"It seems he caught his mother's flu. Five days ago his mother caught a flu, but she was healed quickly, and in return, he fell sick." Akashi said. He dribbled the ball and passed it to Kuroko from outside of three-point area, and ran to the ring.

Flawlessly, Kuroko passed the ball again to Akashi, who was already standing under the ring. Akashi quickly caught it and stole two points from team Kise-Aomine.

"Daaamn!" Aomine cursed. He wiped his sweat off with his shirt. "Why do Akashi and Tetsu have to team up on two-on-two?"

"And beating Akashicchi alone is already haaaaaard!" Kise whined.

Kuroko only smiled to Akashi, which was returned by the younger male.

"Everyone, will you pay a visit to Midorima-kun's house?" Kuroko asked.

"Not until tomorrow, Tetsu-kun." Momoi answered. "We'll visit him tomorrow after school, since there will be no club activity. Will you be alright if we don't visit you tomorrow?"

"I'll be fine, Momoi-san. Midorima-kun's health is what you should be worrying about." Kuroko smiled, but then sighed. "If only I can visit him..."

"Don't worry, Tetsu-kun! I believe he'll recover soon! After all, I will cook some porridge for him!"

"That is really nice of you, Momoi-san." Kuroko attempted to pat the girl's head, only to have his hand went through it. However, Momoi was already used to it. She was happy instead that the tealhead wanted to touch her.

But the boys did not find the scene cute at all. Their minds were focused on what Momoi said earlier.

"Momoi-san," Akashi forced a smile, "I will cook for Midorima, you don't have to trouble yourself."

"Eeeeh?" She pouted. "Even though I want to cook for him... ah! I will help you, then, Akashi-kun!"

"Sure, you can."

But Kise, Aomine and Murasakibara knew too well that Akashi would find a way to avoid the girl's unnecessary assistance. They decided they would help Akashi. After all, they weren't enough of bad people to just let poor Midorima go through scary experience.

Monday, after school, Akashi and the others visited Midorima.

"It's good that your fever had gone down, Midorima," Akashi said. "I gave a healthy porridge to your mother. She may give it to you for dinner."

"Eat well, Midorimacchi!"

"Thank you. I-it's not like it is necessary, anyway. I-I can always make it." Midorima coughed. His face colored even though his temperature had gone down. "By the way... who made it...?"

"Satsuki made it." Aomine yawned.

Midorima's face colored, this time in the same shade of his eyes. "Momoi—"

"I didn't cook it. Akashi-kun did." Momoi pouted. "Even though I want to help him so badly!"

"I'm sorry, Momoi. I forgot to ask you for help." Akashi smiled.

Midorima hadn't felt relieved in such long time.

"Aah, Kuro-chin said, 'you have to get well soon'." Murasakibara said, munching on his Pocky.

"T-tell him 'thank you'."

"Have you go to the doctor, Midorimacchi?" Kise asked.

"No. I don't need to. My fever had gone down, anyway. I can go to school tomorrow. Though my mother will leave me the number of a doctor her friend recommended, since she will leave to business trip this midnight."

"Thank God!" Momoi smiled. "But wouldn't it mean you'll be home alone?"

"Nah. I will be fine. My mother had delayed her departure because I'm sick, anyway. I don't want to burden her, nodayo."

"I see..."

Midorima got up, setting himself into sitting position on the bed. "Putting aside my health... have you managed to contact other Generation of Miracles?"

Kise sighed. He let out his phone, scrolling on his contact.

"No. Though we have their contacts, we have to make sure they won't block our numbers."

Ryouta gave him contacts of Generation of Miracles, plus their bio and a photo of each of them, and Kise had already sent the contacts to Akashi, Midorima, Aomine and Murasakibara. But he could not get what he would contact them for. He needed a strong reason, and had to use the contacts wisely. Otherwise, unnecessary things might happen.

He had seen their photos from their respective contacts. Midorima Shintarou wore glasses, just like the younger ravenette Midorima, and had the green colored hair. Aomine Daiki had the dark blue hair and tanned skin. Murasakibara Atsushi had a long purple hair and lazy look, while Akashi Seijuro had burning red locks and heterochromatic eyes.

Though, besides their numbers and photos, there was nothing much about the contacts. Older Ryouta could not assure them that the Generation of Miracles hadn't changed their numbers either.

Murasakibara frowned. "Neh... can't we just call them and say something about Kuro-chin?"

Midorima shook his head. "Don't you remember Kise-senpai's reaction about it?"

"Ah, I see."

"It's a bit troublesome, isn't it..." Aomine sighed. "To find a reason to contact them..."

"Is it even possible?" Kise asked pessimistically.

"It is," Akashi said. "We will find the way together."

Everyone in the room smiled to him. "We will!"

Midorima woke up early on the Tuesday morning.

His mother had departured hours ago, so it was natural to have the house empty. Though, he was thankful that his mother had cooked some soup for his breakfast, and he only needed to reheat it.

Midorima knew this business trip was important to his mother. So, despite the hurting pain in his head was still remained, he pretended he was okay and told her to just go.

However, the pain wasn't too easy to be ignored. He exited his house with a hand holding his head. He did not know if he could go through the day like that. But he had to. He had promised to his friends—i-it wasn't like that, those people were the ones who claimed him as his friend, really!—that he would go to school today.

He missed a certain ghost in the fourth auditorium as well.

But, when he crossed the street, he was too occupied with the pain that he did not notice the green light now flashing red when he was halfway to the other side of the street. He, too, did not notice the car that was coming to him, too.

"LOOK OUT-!" Said other passers-by, but it was too late.

Tokyo Medical Hospital.

The ambulance arrived, and nurses hurriedly moved the bleeding teen to the emergency room. They hoped the teen would make it.

Half an hour later, the teen was moved to the ICU. The bleeding wouldn't stop, and he needed a quick blood transfusion. It was fatal to them since they were short on B blood-type supply, and it would be too late to find one from other hospital.

"Take my blood. I'm B-type."

And it turned out one of the doctor from the hospital willingly gave him some of his blood unconditionally. The nurses didn't really have to do blood test to make sure the doctor's blood was alright to the teen since he already had his regular check-up yesterday, and it easen the process of blood tranfusion.

And said doctor decided to call the teen's relative. He found a cellphone in the teen's bag, and luckily it wasn't broken. When he opened the cellphone, a new message was received.

From: Kise

Subject: none

Heyyy why aren't you here yet-ssu? The class is about to start-ssu!

The doctor raised an eyebrow to the familiar name of the sender, but nonetheless, he called the sender to inform about the teen's condition.

Kise was in the same class as Midorima, and that made him the first person to know whether the shooting specialist among the five of their group was absent or not. He was sure Midorima said he would come to school today. But the bell would ring in any minute, and he was nowhere in his sight.

He flipped his cellphone open, sending a quick text message. He kept his eyes on it even a minute passed. He expected another text message as a reply, but instead, his phone rang, marking an incoming call.

He thought Midorima called him, in return of his text message. But he was wrong. After a second look, his eyes widened at the caller-ID.

Midorima Shintarou-senpai.

I'm sorry for the short update Dx
