And here's part 2! Sorry for the wait. Enjoy!

Full House!

Part 2

Carol massaged her temples with one hand while her other tried to calm her racing heart. Thankfully, now that the initial shock had blown over, it appeared to be working. Green Lantern's "friend" seemed friendly enough as long as she didn't think about the fact that he wasn't human (Hal never mentioned that!) but it was hard to ignore this when his very appearance blatantly said otherwise! "Ok, so let me get this straight. You came here to get Hal and ended up interrupting his friendly get-together. And now I have to help you all get out without blowing his GL identity."

"Yeah, sounds about right. Apparently secret identities are a big deal here, at least to Hal they are," Kilowog commented. "Though I don't get what the big problem is with humans seein' us! It ain't like we're gonna bite someone's head off!"

"Yes, well, some people might think otherwise. Now, Hal said one of your friends was in the closet across from this room. Is there anything I should know about him or her?"

"What's there to know? He's in there," Kilowog raised a confused eyebrow.

"Well is he, I don't know, is he as…uh," Carol gestured to the Bolovaxian's body, "as large or tall as you are?"

Kilowog snorted. "Who, Red? Nah, he's shorter than Hal!"

"Okay, okay, good…" she muttered to herself. "And anything else?"

"Like what?"

How in the world am I supposed to describe what another alien looks like? Carol inwardly lamented. "Does he…have, three arms or maybe giant claws, or…something that might make him look unusual to other humans?"

"Hm, unusual…" Kilowog rubbed his chin. "Well, he does smell funny. Other than that, you could almost pass him off as a human."

Carol let out another relieved sigh. "At least that makes the job somewhat easier. I'm going to need an extra-long coffee break after this." Peeking her head out the door to check that the coast was clear, Carol exited the room and made her way towards the closet.

"Oh, one more thing!" Kilowog whispered from the space of the open door, just as Carol had begun to move the chair blocking the closet. "He does have a bit of a temper!"

Carol chuckled. "I think I can handle it. It can't be any worse than Randy on the board, and he practically breathes fire when he's angry."

"Uh, yeah about that…" Kilowog started but stopped the moment he saw the red light beginning to filter through the crack under the closet door just as Carol finished pulling the chair away. And it was gradually getting brighter! "Look out!" he cried in a harsh whisper, reaching through the space and grabbing hold of her arm. He managed to pull her back just in time, right as the closet door got blown off of its hinges and smashed into the wall!

"JOR-DAN!"

"Wow, this video has great quality! You could really hear it when your plane broke the sound barrier!" Erica said in excitement.

"Uh, yeeeaahhh…" Hal fumbled, his eyes darting to the back hallway. "Excuse me for a moment!"

"Razer calm down! Can't you see yer scaring the lady?" Kilowog looked back at Carol, who stood pressed against the wall on the opposite side of the room, trying to get as much distance as possible between herself and the two aliens. Her eyes and mouth were wide open. "Sorry about him, he ain't always like this, ya know?" Kilowog apologized sheepishly. "He's a good kid, really!"

"PUT ME DOWN! When I see that oaf again, I'm going to rip him apart limb from limb for stuffing me in that garbage dump!" Razer yelled, flailing about to get out of Kilowog's hold. His armor glowed dangerously, covered in flaming red waves, his eyes flaring with crimson rage.

"I'll put you down as soon as ya calm yer engines!"

"Randy, you've got nothing on this guy," Carol muttered to herself. "Ok Carol, relax." Bravely, she approached the two writhing Lanterns. "Uh, hello, Razer was it?"

"What's it to you?" he all but hissed at her.

"Are those fangs real?!" Carol unintentionally blurted out.

Razer gave her a dumb, sarcastic look. "No, I just like to walk around with fake teeth in my mouth. What do you think?!"

"Can you at least try to act polite?" Kilowog scolded. "She's here to help us."

"Fine. But first. Put. Me. Down." The Bolovaxian slowly lowered the Red Lantern until his feet touched the ground. Once he'd let him go, Razer stubbornly crossed his arms like a typical teenager and gave Carol an expectant look. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"

Just then, Hal came running into the room, quickly closing the door behind him. Then he turned his attention to his red teammate. He did NOT look happy. "What the heck did you do to my door Razer?!"

"Consider it payback for putting me in there in the first place!"

"I was trying to hide you! It was the closest place I could think of!"

"Hey, we'll worry about that later! For now, try to stay on track!" Carol yelled to get their attention. "So, is it only you two or is there someone else?"

"Just Aya and that should be everyone."

"And where exactly is Aya hiding?"

The boys all looked at each other, expecting one of the others to answer. In all honesty, none of them had gotten a glimpse of where the robot had gotten off to. They had been too preoccupied and caught up in the moment to notice.

"Anyone?" Carol asked impatiently.

"Uh, I thought she was with you," Kilowog shrugged at Razer.

"I was locked in a closet that hardly fits one person inside! What makes you think we could both fit in there?!"

Hal grinned. "Well, if you try hard enough, a dark, cozy closet is full of endless possibilities! Right Carol?"

"Focus Hal!" Carol slapped his hand away. "Any ideas as to where she might have gone?"

But just before they could answer, the group jumped at the sound of a loud and shrill shriek that echoed throughout the little apartment.

"BUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGG!"

"I've got one," Hal replied. "Everyone stay here!" With that, he dashed out and ran to the kitchen, where Nick was attempting to calm his frightened wife.

"Erica, what's the matter?!"

"I-I just saw this huge, HUGE insect go scurrying across the floor, right over there!" she whimpered, pointing a finger at the curtains of the kitchen window.

"Honey, it's only a bug, it can't hurt you."

Erica grabbed her husband's shoulders. "You don't get it Nick, this bug was enormous! It had to be the size of my hand at least!"

"Cool!" Jake cheered. "Can I catch it and add it to my bug collection Mom? Can I? Please?!"

"No, absolutely not!" Erica cried.

"No one panic, I'll take care of it!" Hal assured them, sticking his head behind the curtain. Sure enough, one of Aya's metal pieces sat quivering in the corner. "Psst, Aya! Get to my bedroom quick!"

Aya's shoulder piece did as it was told, scurrying out of there as fast as it could. Unfortunately, the movement of one piece seemed to set off a chain reaction. No sooner had it left when another loud scream was heard. Hal whirled around to see Erica and Nick literally bouncing on the balls of their feet, hysterically screaming as Aya's metal pieces emerged from their hiding places and scampered away between them.

"AAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHH!" Erica screamed. "Hal, your apartment is infested!"

"I've got them!" Nick yelled, snatching a broom and lifting it over his head.

"No wait!" Hal cried as he grabbed hold of the broom just before it came swinging down on top of one of Aya's parts.

"WHAT'RE YOU DOING?!"

"I CAN HANDLE IT!" Hal cried again.

"Look Mom, I caught one!" Philip cheered, holding up Aya's foot upside-down. The little wires that made up the legs flailed helplessly in the air.

"AGH, that's disgusting!" Erica yelled, swatting the piece out of her son's hand. The robot's foot quickly scurried away before it could be caught again.

Desperate, Hal glanced about trying to find something, anything that might save him in this situation. Thinking quickly, he made a leap towards the window, pulling the curtains away and sliding it open, thankful that he never bothered to have screens installed. Taking the hint, Aya's pieces made a mad dash for the open window, squeezing through until ever single piece had made it out. With an exasperated sigh, Hal slid the window closed, praying to any deity he knew of that that would be the end of it. As Hal looked back, he watched Nick and Erica panting fiercely, calming themselves as best as they could with little success. Nick leaned against the wall, still holding the broom firmly in his hands in case more of those "insects" decided to show up. Erica's hand shook as she quietly fanned herself with a piece of paper she'd picked up. The poor woman wasn't that far away from passing out from stress. At least the boys looked happy. They seemed to be preoccupied with a-

"Great," Hal muttered.

"Look at this helmet I found- hey!" Jake pouted.

"I'll be taking that, thank you," Hal said, collecting Aya's helmet under his arm. "I'll be right back!"

Tick, tick!

"Hm?" All three faces looked to the only window in the room. When the sound continued over and over again, Carol finally made her way to it and pulled the blinds away. "What in the world?" She found herself staring at what appeared to be some sort of shiny, white insect. Raising one of its little legs, the insect gave the glass another tap.

"Alright, Aya's back!" Kilowog cheered, getting a look over Carol's shoulder.

"This is your friend?" Carol asked in disbelief. "How…?" she shook her head. "Never mind, I don't think I'll even bother asking anymore." So, without another word, Carol opened the window, allowing the pieces to come swarming in. She could only watch in awe as the bugs all came together, legs attaching, climbing atop one another, forming one body- "Agh!" Carol couldn't help letting out a light gasp. There were two legs, a waist, a torso, two arms, a neck…and no head. "I don't think I can take much more of this."

"Don't worry, we're good!" Hal said as he entered the room, holding up a white helmet. Lowering it onto the androids shoulders, the wires quickly attached and soon a green face appeared.

"Thank you Green Lantern Hal," Aya said before frowning. "I was unaware that humans could bear such violent tendencies toward the Animalia kingdom, specifically towards insects. Recording…"

"Yeah, you don't know that half of it."

"So it that everyone?" Carol asked, stepping forward.

"Yep, gang's all here," Hal assured her. "Now comes the fun part: figuring a way to get them all out of here!"

"And does anyone know how we're going to do that?!" Kilowog asked.

Knock, knock. "Hal, open up!"

"Shoot!" Hal cursed in a whisper. "One second!" Cautiously opening the door, he opened it just enough so that he could squeeze through without giving anyone away, as long as they all stood on the far end of the room. Carefully slipping through the space and shutting the door behind him, Hal gave his friend and the family a nervous smile. Nick's arms were crossed and he tapped his foot impatiently while Erica and the boys stood watching. "Soooo, Buddy, what's up?"

"Hal, what is going on here? Every time I try to talk to you, you disappear!"

"I was just, uh-," he winced as slight clanging and dinging noises began to reverberate from the room.

Nick raised his eyebrow. "What's happening in there?"

"Nothing, nothing! I just have a huuuugeee, uh, rat! A huge rat infestation and they've practically taken over my bedroom so I've been trying to get rid of them before you guys found out! In fact, we should probably leave right now before it spreads!" Hal cried, attempting to pull his friend's arm away.

"You were never really good at lying Hal."

"I'm not!"

"Oh really?" Nick asked skeptically, pulling his arm out of his grasp. "Then let me take a look at those rats!" Grabbing hold of the doorknob, he gave it a twist, ignoring Hal's pleas of 'No WAIT!' and swung it wide open. "What the?!"

"Uh…" Hal stammered

"Oh!" Erica gasped.

"Hello there," Carol waved casually, closing the curtains behind her, darkening the otherwise empty room.

Nick's eyes darted back to the test pilot, who'd just let out a sigh of relief. "Hal, who is this?"

"She's uh, she's…"

Carol stepped forward. "Forget it Hal, there's no use hiding it any longer." Taking her place at his side, Carol held out her hand to Nick. "My name is Carol, Carol Ferris."

Nick took her hand and shook it. "Carol Ferris? You mean, your boss?"

"Yes, his boss," she finished before Hal could answer. "You see, Hal and I, well, we're…together," she explained, emphasizing her point by linking her arm with his. "There have always been qualms about dating the boss, so we've managed to keep in under wraps for a while. You see, I sent Hal away for a little business trip last week and decided to surprise him here in his apartment. I was unaware that he was having friends over and I didn't want to get him in trouble, so Hal has been trying to discreetly sneak me out without getting caught. But, as you can see…" Carol gestured a hand towards them all, "here we are."

At first, no one spoke, and Hal was certain his heart could be heard beating a million times per second he was so nervous! Less than a moment ago he'd nearly had a heart attack out of fear of who else he might see. But soon, Nick gave them both a smile as he stepped forward.

"I understand completely," he assured them before turning to Hal. "I wish you'd told me about this so you wouldn't have had to go through all this trouble. But then again, I get why you didn't. I'm sorry for giving you such a hard time Hal, really I am."

"Hey, no problem Buddy! And I'm sorry for being such a riot today. This was supposed to be just a friendly get-together; I didn't mean for it to turn out this way!" Hal said in return. He extended his hand. "Are we good?"

"Yeah, we're good!" Nick replied, giving it a shake.

"Well then," Erica spoke up, "now that that's all settled, maybe now we can start this over! Do you wish to join in?" she asked, looking to Carol.

"Oh no, I really should be going soon!" Carol answered.

Hal nodded. "If you could give us a minute and wait in the living room that would be great!"

"Sure thing!" Nick smiled again. "Take as long as you need! And it was very nice to meet you Ms. Ferris!" He nodded to Carol before leading the rest of his family away.

Once they were gone, Carol's mouth fell into a stern frown. "You owe me overtime!" she whispered.

"I know, I know!" Hal sighed aloud this time. "How the heck did you get them all out of there?"

"You're lucky your bedroom window was just the right size to get them all out. They said they would be waiting for you on the 'Interceptor' which I assume you know what that is!"

"Yeah, and really, thank you for this, you're a real lifesaver!"

"Oh, and Hal?" Nick suddenly asked, popping his head out from around the corner along with his son Philip.

"Huh, yeah?!" Hal said quickly.

"I only have one more question."

"What's that?"

"What the heck happened to your closet door?!" He jabbed a finger at the splintered wood and melted hinges that slumped against the now cracked wall straight across from the gaping closet.

Hal could only stare and blink at the sight. "Uh…"

"Mr. Hal said that Sulley was in a bad mood," Philip replied.
