So, I guess I Zutara'd again... I've had this in my drafts since Zutara Month...Oops :)

Change

He was walking through the forest, searching for the Avatar - Aang - and his friends. He wished to join them this time, although he wanted to capture the boy in the past. He had changed since he and the little group of misfits met in the city of Ba Sing Se.

"I thought you changed!" She yelled at him.

"I have changed!" He yelled back.

He really had changed. He changed form the enemy to the hopeful ally. From the foe to the friend. He really had changed.

"I thought you changed!"

He changed that fateful day as well. He changed from the monster to a victim with a few simple words, that when put together, could make him realize that they all wanted the same thing; they were just going about it differently.

"I thought you changed!"

But then he changed again. He should have listened to Uncle about how fight the Avatar was the wrong path to choose. He should have recognized then look on her face when he threw a fiery punch towards he and her friends. Now that he looked back to her face, he was filled with regret and a sense of stupidity that only comes when looking back and wondering why in Agni's name did you do something so heartless.

"I thought you changed!"

But he's a changed person now. He left his home to be the Avatar's firebending teacher. He came to right all of the wrongs that he's committed. He came to earn her forgiveness, even though he sure as hell doesn't deserve it.

"I thought you changed!"

Yes, yes he had. Zuko just hoped that it wasn't too late for Katara to forgive him.

Remember to Smile :)
