Note 2: I am still recovering from last weekends con so apologies for this fic!

When Spike told Xander he had a surprise for him Xander wasn't expecting it to be a private viewing of the British Museum. Xander had expecting a romantic dinner or maybe a movie but an educational outing? Did Spike not know his boyfriend at all? They were there for an hour and Spike pointed out paintings and sculptures while Xander pretended to be interested.

"And last but not least," Spike said as he stopped in front of a sarcophagus that was open showing a mummy. "Something a little supernatural. Though this one isn't like the one from the movie The Mummy."

Xander didn't look impressed. "Spike believe it or not this isn't my first mummy."

Spike looked disappointed. "It's not?"

"No." Xander shook his head. "And the mummy I met was way more interesting. And pretty. God was she gorgeous!"

"Oi! Boyfriend standing right here!" Spike said with a glower.

Xander smiled and kissed Spike. "Don't be jealous. It was ten years ago and I'm gay now. Beside it never would have worked out. She tried to kill Willow and then me. Story of my love life."

"You mean I wasn't the only lover that's tried to kill you?" Spike tried to look disappointed but couldn't help the smile that graced his face. "You really are a demon magnet, aren't you, luv?"

"It's one of the things you love about me. Never a dull night with me around," Xander replied. "Well except tonight. I'm sorry babe but why did you bring me here?"

Spike pouted a little. "I just thought it would be nice to try something different. Spice things up."

Xander looked confused. "You thought taking me to a museum would spice things up? Spike, nothing is wrong with our relationship. I like what we do. What I don't like is educational stuff. I had enough of that in school. Once I graduated I was done with that stuff."

"Well excuse me for trying something new!" Spike huffed.

Realizing he hurt Spike's feelings Xander pulled him into a hug and nuzzled Spike's cheek. "I'm all for trying something new but can't it be stuff we'd both enjoy? You and Willow can do this kind of stuff. Or you and Giles."

Spike snorted. His and Giles's relationship was still strained after Giles teamed up with Robin to have him killed. "I like doing stuff like this with you," Spike replied quietly.

How could Xander deny Spike of wanting to do stuff like this with him? Xander sighed, "Fine but in the future give me a heads up so I can work on being excited about it, okay?"

"Really?" Spike asked excitedly. "Does that mean you'll go skydiving with me?"

Xander blanched. "Skydiving? At night? Isn't that a little dangerous?"

Spike waved off Xander's fears. "I have a friend that does this stuff all the time. It's perfectly safe."

"Oh… okay. Um… sure," Xander said feeling less than sure about this idea.

Spike perked up. "Great! I'll call my friend tomorrow and he'll get us sorted. I bet we'll be able to go next week."

Spike ended up having to pick Xander up off the floor.
