Walking by you everyday,

I shudder.

My body gives a tiny shake,

(Imperceptible to your human eyes),

Running along my spine.

You see me,

Know me.

But do not understand me.

When the building collapses,

And I'm there to grab your hand,

Lift you to safety.

A shudder runs

Along my spine.

You see me,

Know me.

But do not understand me.

It's odd, how much of a difference

A simple pair of glasses make.

A slight slump of my back.

One day, you see me, call

"Look! It's Superman!"

Then the next,

I'm simply plain old Clark Kent.
