The air became thin and the floor turned into liquid. Damian's mind rushed for solutions. Colin transforming into Abuse was the last thing they needed. Then again he hadn't expected Colin to catch him cheating. It was all that stupid Todd's fault!
Damian was going to exact punishment from him later.
Damian slapped his hands together in a prayer. "You caught me, ok! Colin, please! I'm sorry!"
The bat-family gasped in a mixture of surprise and horror.
Damian Wayne (The Hell Spawn) did not just apologized, willingly, did he?
"He's surrendering," Dick whispered.
All anger left Colin's body; knowing that Damian wouldn't have apologized if he truly wasn't sorry.
"I don't understand, Damian. Why would you cheat? That's not like you." Colin spoke with puppy eyes.
Damian watched Colin in his own surprise. Sometimes the teen wondered if the other boy was aware of his powers. Damian pulled the card out from his thigh and handed it to Colin face-down. Colin took it and flipped it over.
"Hey! I want to read it too!" Jason snapped.
Damian reacted faster and threw to upper body over Colin's head to block anyone's attempt to read what the card said other than Colin.
"Brat! You'll crush him!"
"Why must you yell all the time?"
A smile formed on Colin's face. He placed the card on his thigh face down and placed on hand on Damian's chest, telling the other he could relax.
"Grab your laptop. You're on the WebMD site, right?"
Damian nodded and grabbed his laptop off the floor.
"Why did it say?" Tim asked.
Colin looked at Damian for permission.
The teen rolled his eyes and sighed, harshly. "I suppose so!"
Colin lifted the card. "Uh-oh! It seems a red and terribly itchy rash has begun to developed on your genitals. Here are your symptoms: itchiness, redness, slight burning sensation, sleepless nights, and humiliation."
"Uh-oh is right." Dick frowned.
'Damian, you poor little bastard."
Bruce sighted tirelessly. Weather at Damian's problem or Jason cruse—maybe it was both?—is unknown.
"Type in rash and see what we get." Colin told Damian.
Damian blushed very slightly while typing and hitting enter.
The loading wheel turned and turned, then without warning presented the desired page. Damian's jaw dropped and started to gagged.
"Oh my God. They have pictures."
Beside him, Colin laughed. The tree past Robin's behind them wore each of their own face of disgust.
"What is the meaning of this, Colin? I've lost the game. Haven't I suffered enough?"
"You don't know that. It may just be a rash."
'Nah, that doesn't sound like no simple rash." Jason commented. "That's herpes."
"I don't want to see any herpes dicks, Colin!"
"Hey, that's not fair to Dick." Jason smirked.
The eldest glared at him.
"Read the comments," Colin pointed.
Damian scrolled down.
"Jamey from South Dakoda said: 'I thought it was just a simple rash, but guess what, rashes are always herpes.'"
Bruce laughed one of his rare, but real laughs.
"Roger from New York said: 'Kiss sex good-bye.' Then Gab from New Jersey said…" Damian lifted his head from the screen. "He's a part of a Life with Herpes support group and has rebuilt his life and is doing better."
Colin smiled next to him and clicked through the website. "Look at this one, Dami. Missy from Florida said: I thought it was herpes and I was slowly sinking into an abyss of pain when I went to the doctor and she said the test came back negative! She said it was most likely an allergic reaction to some detergent. Here were my symptoms: itchiness, redness, slight burning sensation."
"Wait, what?" Jason spoke.
"My character had an allergic reaction to detergent!?" Damian snatched the laptop back and read the comment. "So, did I lose or not?"
"Nope. You didn't lose. Like I said, you either have to die or draw the STD card, and since you didn't, you didn't lose."
Damian threw his laptop into Colin's lap. "I'm done with Life."
He grabbed the board and stuffed all the pieces into the box. Then picked up the mess and carried it to the door. "Hurry up!"
They stood around a barrel with a warm fire spreading its warmth all around them.
"Was this really necessary, Damian? This game kinda brought us together."
"Exactly why it needs to be destroyed, Grayson!"
The young man frowned.
"I'm never going to get those diseased pictures out of my head, thanks to you, Colin." The teen snapped at his best friend.
"Nightmares of diseased dicks!" Jason and Time laughed.
"If I had to suffer through them in Health Class then so do you."
"That was your strategy all along, wasn't it?"
"It was one of them."
"This is a nice fire," Bruce whispered.
Colin narrowed his eyebrows and stepped closer to Damian.
"I should have let you Hulked out. Would have been far less torturous than this."
Colin smiled innocently beside him as the fire snapped and crackled her laughter.
-The End.
(Thanks for sticking through!)
