Author's Note:
Hi, everyone.
So, whether this is the first story of mine you've ever read, or you followed One In Four, or even if you know me from way back when I was constantly working on the Expect The Unexpected installments, you'll know that one of the things I really work hard to do in my writing is not shy away from sensitive topics. I pride myself on that, and I like to think I've done a pretty good job. It's been emotionally exhausting on many occasions and has sometimes triggered bad experiences of my own, but I've never thought it wasn't worth it.
In light of Cory Monteith's death on Saturday, however, I've decided to avoid The Crooked Kind for a little while. I am not abandoning it nor am I putting it up for adoption - I will come back to it when I'm ready - but for now it's a bit overwhelming considering that Finn is struggling with the exact same issues that resulted in Cory's passing. Cory's death hit very close to home for me, and every time I've tried to work on this story I've broke down crying, so I'm taking a break.
In the meantime, I will focus on other stories that I and my ADD muse have yet to finish, so stay tuned for those.
Thanks to all of you, and rest in peace, Cory.
