"Don't you have somewhere to be?"

"Nope. No trouble in the tunnels, so Stephen sent me to tend to the cripple."

"More like he sent you here so he could tend to Rory."

"Not Stephen. There is no way. He has no emotions. He is a ghost- fighting robot."

"You're a guy, I'm a girl, yeah?"

Callum took this oppurtunity to look Boo up and down very deliberately. "Yeah?"

She glared at him. " If I could get up and smack you, I would, you perv."

"You set yourself up for that."

Boo sighed. "So I can tell with these sort of things! Girls can always tell. Stephen's got a crush."

"No way! He's doing his job."

"He's never gone out of his way to drive us around or take us to investigate."

"We're busy. He needs back-up."

"You've seen them together. He pays attention to her. And they talk."

"Stephen talks to us. Does he have a crush on me? Because that would be an awkward situation."

"I mean talking talking. He chats to us about work and weather and using his atlas as a small, easy-to-use table, but he never talks to us about himself."

"He's Stephen. He went to Eton and got in a boating accident. He recovered and got the sight. He reads and works. That's all there is to it."

"Don't you ever wonder about his family? The details of his accident? Or why he never goes out?"

"He goes out! We took him to the pub once, remember? After the time we hit that old lady?"

"Yeah, but that was once. He's twenty. Why doesn't he do that more often?"

"Because he's a lightweight. Remember after two pints, he was-"

"You started hitting on me after one beer. Stephen was still Stephen, just slightly clumsier."

"You are reading into this way too much! Maybe he doesn't hit on you because you're Boo."

"And what is that supposed to mean?!"

"That you're a phenomenal person and he is not worthy of your majesty!"

"That's right, but have you ever seen him hit on any girl? Any at all? Even once?"

"No."

"Exactly. Why?"

"He went to Eton. He doesn't know what he's doing so-"

"Are you really saying what I think you're saying? That Stephen is Stephen because-"

"Because he went to Eton. Socially retarted."

"Shut up! Stephen is a nice guy!"

"Nice, but he has no game."

"He's a nice guy, he deserves a nice girl!"

"We're in London, Boo, where girls learn to drink away their brain cells at a young age. Good luck with that."

"Exactly!"

"What are you even talking about?!"

"What girl do we know that's not from London? A nice girl from far, far away...?"

"No way! She's part of the team!:

"So what?"

"He's just looking out for her!"

"He's looking out for her alright."

"Stop it! This is Stephen we're talking about!"

"Yes! Stephen Dene! Glad we're on the right page!"

"There is nothing going on between Rory and Stephen, Boo."

" A bet then, yeah?"

" It's not betting when I know I'm right."

"Five pounds to me if their lips ever touch within this year."

"I don't think I should be stealing from a poor, crippled girl."

"I'm getting my cast off today!"

"Does that make stealing okay?"

"We'll just have to see how this plays out, yeah?"

"Fine."

"Did you ever notice he has her file in his room?"

"Boo, Why were you in Stephen's room?"

"I get bored here!"

"Okay, okay! He was probably doing paperwork late."

"Her contact in his phone has a star next to it, Callum!"

" The name of the star! It's a morbidly ironic joke!"

"You're in denial!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Why then, at night, does he-"

"I can't hear you over the sound of your wrongness!"

"You are the most stubborn human alive!"

"And you are-"

"Yeah, Callum?"

" The most superior, valuable member of this team and queen of all pancake-making."

"That's right."
