A/N: Ok everyone. You can plot to kill me for not updating since forever after you read the story. (That is if you already haven't) +runs+

Giratina x Arceus: I Know.
:-:
"Have you ever seen a shooting star before?"
"No." I replied bluntly. "I haven't."
She looked away, probably feeling guilt. Gosh, she could be so hypocritical.
"You know…" Her gaze was back on me. "Just because you're the reverse world deity doesn't necessarily mean you have to stay down there all the time."
I laughed at how naïve she can be. "How else would I find sustainable nutrients such as berries and water?"
She rolled her eyes. "I know, but other than that."
In all honesty, I shouldn't be getting upset every time we engage in conversation, for the few times we do. I was assigned to be a renegade long ago. She made it very clear that I wasn't to leave the reverse world back then. And now… she says it's fine to roam around at random? I'm not sure if I'm mad at her for sending mixed messages, or mad at myself for even bothering to hold a grudge against her for it. What's the point anymore? Maybe I find amusement out of it. It is one of the only elements I have a chance to be engaged in.
"No." I said simply. Then, I mentally scolded myself. If this was going to go anywhere, I'd have to be the one to say something. "I suppose I don't see the point. I get what I need from the surface, then return to my assigned dimension." I didn't mean to put emphasis on my implication. Too late now. She looked really hurt, and it was my fault this time. The implication really wasn't necessary.
"I see." She turned her gaze to the lake we were currently sitting on the edge of.
It was silent for longer that I'd have liked. However, when she broke the silence, what she said was something I was in no way prepared for.
"Why won't you let me in?"
My eyes widened slightly as I turned my gold encrusted head toward her. "Pardon?"
She wasted no time in proceeding to hover so there were only a few feet between us.
"Why won't you let me in?" She repeated herself.
"Let you in? I don't – "
"You know exactly what I mean." She looked to the ground below us. "You've been like this ever since I assigned you to the reverse world. Why?" She looked back up at me, straight into my red ringed irises. And… were those tears?
"Arceus, I – "
"Yes! You do understand! Stop it!" She placed her golden hooves on my red and black-stripped chest. "Stop pushing me away! At least I'm trying!" She sobbed slightly, attempting to hold back the salty water that dared to fall. "Don't think I'm not sorry because I am. It's been eons, Giratina. Eons! How long are you going to keep this up?!" Arceus bowed her head in sadness. "If it's an apology you want, I'm sorry! There was nothing I could do! You were out of control! I had to do it! You think I wanted to isolate you from the rest of the world?"
She gave up, and the rears fell – a sudden outburst of emotion I was not expecting, but rolled with it nonetheless. A part of me wanted to embrace her and tell her I was also sorry for shutting her out, but another part of me – that same part that has kept me silent for so long – wanted to remain silent, wait till she was done letting it out, and leave. But… I've been silent for so long. This is confusing, yet it shouldn't be. What is there to be confused about?
"If you want me to leave now, I will." She spoke up, drawing my attention back to her now tear-flushed face. "Just know I'm sorry for all the years of isolation I put you through, as much as I didn't want to but had to."
This was Arceus – Goddess of creation, and I've never seen her break since my creation. Yet, here she was, sobbing in despair, all the years catching up to her in terms of regret and sorrow.
I hated it.
I hated seeing her like this for the first time. I knew she must have felt some sort of guilt for my harsh banishment, but this… this was something I could never imagine her feeling. I suppose even the strongest willed have a breaking point, and from the looks of it, I was witnessing Arceus's breaking point right now. Tears ran down freely, and I still didn't know what to do.
What should I do?
I've never really been one for affection towards others in the past. She was going to leave like this unless I say something… anything.
"I know." The words came out surprisingly natural, like they were waiting to all this time.
"I know." I repeated them, for they seemed to calm her down little by little.
"I know." My wings draped over her, forming a force field of reassurance. She looked at me, eyes filled with tears, sorrow, despair, regret, hope.
"I know." I pressed our foreheads together, suddenly feeling the need to be even closer to her. I sensed she has experienced isolation all this time as well. A different kind of isolation. Isolation from… me?
"I'm here." My wings hugged her tighter, rubbing small up and down patterns to soothe her further.
"I know." She spoke this time, mimicking my previous words of comfort. Her forehead pressed more against mine, and then our maws came together.
I felt she missed me, as if I disappeared form all existence without any hopes of finding me. I tilted my head to the side to feel more warmth emanating from her. She sighed, leaning closer, fully surrendering to her inner emotions. A sudden urge came over me, causing me to push her to the ground, fanning my wings over her in an act of dominance. My maw pressed harder against hers, mouth biting harshly in a love and hate powered kiss. I still felt the hurt of being tucked away from the rest of existence for so long, yet I still possessed the same emotions she had for me. I growled as she began to struggle slightly, not used to being in such a vulnerable state.
My tail swiped against her lower region repetitively. I felt her hooves lock around my front shoulders, holding on for life it seemed. My bites became less harsh as time continued. They traveled to her neck spikes and shoulders, becoming aggressive once more. I didn't quite know what I wanted out of this, but something was driving me to do what I'm currently doing, and she isn't showing any signs of objection. I placed one final harsh nip to her shoulder before pulling away, my tail still swiped side to side against her. She looked so helpless, so willing, and so perfect.
She smiled. "Miss me too?"
I was a bit dazed from my previous actions, but made out her words and smirked. "Perhaps." I began, feeling very confident and in control of her suddenly. "However…" I leaned down and placed a few harsher-than-intended bites on her neck, making her yelp. "…I think you missed me more, judging by how red your entire face is right now." She looked to the side, feeling slightly embarrassed about the comment, but continued.
"Perhaps you're right. I always have felt an attraction towards you of sorts."
I chuckled, making her shiver slightly. "Really? Why me of all possible options?"
"Because." She used her hooves that were still hooked to my shoulders to pull me back down, giving back a bite of her own. I growled at the sudden action. "You know me. You know how much I care for you, even if you try to deny it." She smirked knowingly. "And judging by out current situation…" She paused to intertwine her tail with mine. "…you feel the same way."
I laughed. "That's a pretty big claim." My tail, wrapped around hers, made a sudden motion and pressed against her lower region hard. "Care to back it up?" I trailed my tongue across her jaw line. She pulled me down with her hooves until we were flush against one another.
A lighthearted laugh emitted from her. "Are you challenging your creator?"
I slammed my wings to the ground in an attempt to show I meant business, their red spikes pin-pricking her skin. She whimpered, clearly getting satisfaction out of our back and forth comebacks. "What challenge, Arceus? I've won you over from the beginning. You said it yourself." I pressed my weight harder and growled a bit louder. "Surrender to me." My voice was low and seemed to ignite the feelings she possessed further.
"My pleasure." She sighed.
Time vanished as we felt the long needed company of one another. She clung to me as if I was the last thing that was keeping her alive, and I reassured her with more sweet nothings than I could keep track of. By the time the moon began to vanish, we had both felt the full extent of just how much we missed each other. And oh, was it powerful.
"I'm here." I whispered, as we both began to drift into a peaceful slumber. "And I'm never leaving again."
She smiled up at me with so much affection I felt my heart pop out of its position. With a final sigh of comfort, she rested her head against my chest and closed her eyes.
"I know."
