The Cross of Wilbury

The Land of Kolyma is not safe
When under the spell of night and darkness,
And that is because the Prince of Vampires
Hunts for blood after dark.

But the Blessed Wilbury made a place,
A sanctuary for all caught in the night,
To toll the bell in warning of the dusk,
And to shelter all those who are caught outside.

The brothers of this Catholic haven
Pray and worship in earnest devotion,
To the One who saved them all from their sins,
By dying on the cross to pay the penalty.

Brother Fragola, a monk of the Wilbury,
Knows that faith without deeds is useless,
And gives freely the charities of the church,
To all the needy who cannot survive alone.

His silver cross has value, too,
As a protector against evil,
For when worn or held up in front of one,
An undead devil will always be-gone.

For that cross protected King Graham,
From the denizens of Dracula's Castle.
No ghost, ghoul or vampire alike
Could stand up to the symbol of Christ.

For the Blessed Wilbury cares about God's children,
And they know that the Lord catches all who fall
Into the web of evil that the likes of Satan
And his servants of darkness seek to unleash.

Indeed, without I AM WHO I AM,
Where would Daventry be now?
Who would send Graham to restore our kingdom,
Or to rescue his bride from a witch from Sheol?

'Twas I AM who made it possible
For the fantastic folk of Daventry
To withdraw to their own little world,
And make a whole new society of fantasy.

'Twas I AM who saved Alexander from Manannan,
Not the wizard's book, "The Sorcery of Old."
'Twas I AM who guided Princess Rosella
To heal her father and the fairy Genesta.

Wilbury knows all of this knowledge,
And seeks to spread the Word of the Lord,
To all who live in this magic world,
In Kolyma, Llewdor, Tamir, and Serenia.

Whether fighting for a kingdom or a bride,
Or saving a life from an ultimate evil,
Jesus the Christ will always be there
To hear your prayers and keep you safe.

So work hard, play hard, and pray hard,
And do not forget the Blessed Wilbury!
