The Doctor looked up from the console, where he'd been tinkering, when he heard a faint giggling noise float down through one of the corridors to the main room.
He tried to wave it off as harmless. Honest, he did. That was before he heard the groan. A very deep, female companion-sounding groan. Followed by a laugh from a certain man. Who was alone with a certain companion named Clara.
The Doctor started to make his way to the corridor. Humans, honestly. Like a bunch of rabbits. And he really wouldn't have minded that much, but... Clara is still a mystery. Like a universal logic puzzle built in the shape of a human female, spread throughout time and space. For all he knew, the Captain and her doing anything of the sort would be like successfully dividing by zero.
The Doctor had seen the results of that zero division once, too. Nasty sort of business. There's nothing like having to repair a rip in the space-time continuum with a glue gun, a ball of string, theoretical physics, and some duct tape.
His musings were cut short when he heard Jack laugh again and ask, "Are you sure?"
A frustrated huff from Clara with, "Of course I'm sure."
"Really? You're dealing with a expert."
"I'll show you 'expert'."
The Doctor skidded through the many halls of the TARDIS. He had to stop any attempt at... 'shenanigans' from happening. It was his duty to- he came to a halt, and stared into the room where Clara and Jack were.
Clara and Jack, who were not doing what he had envisioned. Instead, Clara looked like she was trying to make herself comfortable on a pile of lumpy cushions, before once again picking up the game controller left on the floor. Jack, himself, was laughing lightly at her frustrated noise when he selected the 'Rainbow Road' course from where he was seated.
Both of the humans looked up at the Timelord, who stood there now, fidgeted with his bowtie, and looked like he was about to blush from embarrassment.
"Why Doctor... care to join us?" Jack asked with an ever-flirtatious grin as he held out another Nintendo 64 controller.
