After the concert…

Logan's POV

Wow, she's changed so much. I can't believe that's her. I remember back then when Serenity and her brother had just come to the island. She seemed like a girl who was clueless to the things that were happening around. She was always playing the damsel in distress who couldn't do anything for herself. She leaned on her brother all the time. Was it all an act? She couldn't have possibly changed that much. If it was an act, why? She could have fought for the crown and won too! Back then I knew she had a crush on me. I wasn't hard to tell, I could see in the way she acted around me. She wasn't all that interesting and sometimes she seemed like a pest almost. She was always trying to hang out with her brother and I. She didn't have many friends on the island. It was Sebastian's birth right to inherit the crown but the island elders were thinking about letting her have the chance to fight for the crown. Serenity has certainly grown up well in the past 3 years. She's no longer a little child. She's so captivating now. So strong, smart, compassionate and beautiful. I can't believe the past me didn't take the chance with her when I had in arm's length. She seems so far away now especially because she seems so close to that royal advisor of her. Do they have something going on? Hopefully not, it would ruin my chances. I want her back, even though she never was mine in the first place….. No matter, I will win her heart back. I will have her.

Mikayla's POV

What's so special about that Serenity girl? Is it because she is a queen? I've miss Brady ever since he left. I've regretted the words I said in the forest with Candace 2 years ago and I still do. If I knew he was listening, I wouldn't have said those things. I thought he would always be there for me. I got too comfortable and when he left, I hit me hard. I could've had him. He understood me in ways that no one else does and he makes me happy, free, secure. I guess I didn't know what I had until it was gone. I won't give up. I'm going to take him back with all my might. Mark my words, Brady will come back to me. I don't care what it takes!

On the other side of Mylind, in a dark corner of the forest, a darkness was brewing. Not all dark magic was gone and now it wanted revenge. All was going according to plan. Serenity and Brady were going to wish they never set foot on the island.
