So, I'm sorry to my readers for the lack of updates. Alot of things in my life just got complicated and I had to take control of them. I'm hoping I have sometime to write again and I would love to try and finish this story because I love Kylie/Phil. I hope you haven't forgot about them! This is a short chapter just so I can get a feel for writing again. I'm hoping to have another chapter up by the end of this week! Enjoy.
Love - A
Kylie looked over to her right, taking a good look at Phil who was ever so concentrated on his comic book. She sighed and looked back at the small square window on the plain. She tried to think about RAW taking place that night, but when she did – she thought more about Layla's unusual negative attitude and it threw her off.
She knew how easy it was for anyone working within the WWE to have a change in attitude. She could remember when Eve did the same thing to her in the first year of even being signed. She could even think back to how often people got bitter or changed in OVW or NXT. Still, she would have never in a million years suspected Layla. She was well respected, got all the respect she deserved and was in the WWE for a long time. Kylie may have never got to know her personally, but from what she knew – Layla had everything she could have ever wanted. Enough to keep her happy at least.
It seemed that she only took 5 minutes of her time to think about it, but it had been a whole hour, and the plain had come to a stop on the runway. She went through the usual routine that was all a part of the usual traveling. A routine that was so exciting to most people was just another day in the life for them.
Once they retrieved their luggage, signed for the rental cars – receiving the keys, Kylie and Phil made their way through the airport. WWE fans had swarmed the airport they knew not only Phil and Kylie had arrived at, but some of the other roster too. Phil who was extremely uncomfortable by the WWE's own type of "paparazzi" threw his hood over his head and looked down, avoiding them. Even though Kylie was much friendlier when it came to the obnoxious fans, for Phil's sake, she did the same thing. He reached for her hand, taking it into his and led them to the car.
"Why are the fans that show up at the airport so pushy and rude?" Phil groaned once they were finally in the car. Kylie shrugged her shoulders and looked out of the window. He only let it go silent for a minute. "What's wrong?" Phil asked curiously. Kylie looked at him and shook her head. "nothing." She said instantly. Phil looked at her once the car came to a stop at a red light. He narrowed his eyes brows, questioning her answer.
"I'm just bothered by Layla." She finally said. She didn't really want to talk to Phil about it because he of all people hated the backstage drama and politics. He rolled his eyes and refocused on the road ahead. "Don't be." He said. "I'm sure she's got something stupid bothering her, don't take it personal." He continued. "You got a good head on your shoulders and have from the start. You've been able to deal with stuff like this for five years – don't let that change." He said causing Kylie to grin.
Even though he was peeved about the drama and probably could have cared less, he never failed to talk to her about it.
Kylie stumbled backstage in heels paired with a tight dress. She couldn't help but wish that she spent the last 10 minutes in the ring, rather than on commentary, but she wasn't complaining too much.
With her shoes in one hand and her phone in the other she was careful to step around the mess of wires and props backstage. She scrolled through her twitter feed, biting her lip at anything involving Mike and Maryse's engagement. Suddenly she jumped at the feeling of someone's hands on her hips. They gripped tightly before she quickly turned around, pulling away. CM Punk was smiling down on her.
"Hi" she smiled. She narrowed her eyebrows a little caught off guard. "So I've been thinking…" he said. She didn't say anything.
" andI have a surprise planned."
